50 Times People Made Fascinating Crochet Designs That Were Too Good Not To Share (New Pics)
Since the beginning of this gloomy pandemic, many have turned to old-fashioned arts and activities to make sense of the messy world around them. Especially yarn crafting, like knitting or crocheting, has increased in popularity as a result. Holding something tangible in your hands and linking one loop of thread to another can really stop your mind from wandering and ground you in the present.
Thanks to the r/crochet subreddit, we can receive our daily dose of inspiration and look at some of the most beautiful projects ever created. This crochet-loving page is home to more than 316K members who have no limits on what you can do with just a ball of yarn and a couple of tools.
Just have a look below at the amazing ideas and patterns people share there and upvote your favorites. And if you still feel the need for more, make sure to read Part 1 of this post right here.

My Crochet Leopard Gecko
I thought that was real when I saw it on the main page, then I saw the title.
Ditto. I thought there was an outfit or accessory for it that we would later see.
Load More Replies...The r/crochet subreddit was founded 13 years ago and ever since then, it has been growing and becoming an important part of the crochet community. There’s no denying that people who pick up such projects are really dedicated. Many of us could find the passion and patience that they have really useful, especially dealing with the fast-paced world that we live in.
Crocheting does not require much physical energy and if you stick to it, you can achieve beautiful results. It’s the perfect way to spend your time if you want to keep your hands busy and your mind free.
Craft Yarn Council published a study in 2014 where they found that knitters and crocheters report lower levels of stress. They surveyed more than 3,100 people who enjoy this craft and asked them about the motivation behind it and what kind of perks they derive from it.
A Very Special Request… How Did I Do?
Cute! I did this some years ago, knitted a monster like my son had it drwan. He still loves it
Can you post it, please? I want to see it very much
Load More Replies...The majority of the participants said that they engage in their craft because it provides a creative outlet. Other significant reasons are that they enjoy making things for others and achieve a sense of accomplishment along the way.
But there are more benefits that they get from knitting or crocheting. 85 percent of them said that it helps to reduce stress and a big majority also noticed an improvement in their mood and sense of confidence. Not to mention that it helps them to relax, cope with their health challenges and fight depression and anxiety.
This Was One Of My Projects During 2020. It Was Pretty Time Consuming But Definitely Worth It!

Load More Replies...It's linked on the Reddit page! Here: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/flurry-of-foliage

This is beautiful and the thought behind it warms my heart, you are a good friend.
According to a report by Knit For Peace, knitting can also slow the onset of dementia, combat depression and distract from chronic pain. One of the explanations behind this could be that knitting or crocheting is an activity that gives a sense of purpose.
Putting your focus on one thing only and concentrating on the repetitive movements of making one loop after another reduces the stress hormone and distracts you from your anxieties. For some, it can also have a meditative effect, which can result in improved physical and emotional well-being.

Ok, I need this - my house is beach/sea shore decorated and this would be perfect!
Not only does crocheting give you a sense of meaning and make you feel relaxed and stress-free, it’s also part of a booming industry. Powered by People conducted a survey where they found that the creative manufacturing and handmade sector is projected to grow by 20 percent per year, reaching $1 trillion by 2024. And it seems that the industry is becoming more sustainable, inclusive, diverse, female-friendly and dialed into rural populations.
Finally Finished This Guy After Months Of Procrastination
More Of My Random Acts Of Crochet Kindness. I’ve Been Sneaking Around The Hospital At Night And Leaving Them In High Traffic Areas. Using Stash Yarn
And I would for sure pick it up, then leave a note under a rock where I got it saying thank you
Load More Replies...I worked night shift as a NICU RN and sometime walked the halls for peace and quiet- finding a little guy like this would have totally made me and my coworkers smile! Thank you for what you do!
Which hospital? *proceeds to run to hospital and run around stealing them*
I love him! I've also been using my stash yarn to make little quirky buddies that I've been putting in pantry boxes around town. They're gone by the end of the day, and it warms my heart to know that someone found a new friend.
Every Time I Look At It It Makes Me Smile
That is a treasure! Honestly, I hope it's still in your family a hundred years from now.
According to them, the sector is “circular and employs less industrial and more sustainable processes such as small-batch production and boutique manufacturing, while relying heavily on renewable agricultural inputs.” Knitting and crocheting are not only less expensive, but also more environmentally friendly. By creating your own things, you don’t contribute to the ecological damage that the fast fashion industry is responsible for.
For Science!
This would make an adorable and much-cherished gift for any science lover. I found the pattern online here: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/amigurumi-chemistry-set
Oh I adore this!! I wish my hands still worked right...what an awesome job you did!!
Made A Christmas Tree Hat, With Working Lights. Pattern In Comments
If you look at the original post on Reddit, I have a pic with the lights on.
Load More Replies...I made 3 of those!!! Instead of lights, I attached beads to mimic ornaments, and instead of the star, I made a yellow Pom-Pom so it’ll look good from any angle. Turned out super cute!
Been back at work for a week now. After 3 months in bed on O2 machine due to damage from COVID and pneumonia.

Can I buy this :( I hope this was available to buy ( also , In Indian rupees)
Hearing all of these benefits, you can’t help but feel the urge to run out and buy some yarn yourself. In our previous post, the moderators of r/crochet were kind enough to share some thoughts about the craft. “Crochet is definitely the most beginner-friendly between crochet, knitting, and sewing. This is because, in part, it’s the easiest to rip apart (called frogging) and go back to fix a mistake,” they told Bored Panda.
My Son Wanted A Rainbow Blanket, And Then Proceeded To Pick Out The Hardest Pattern I've Ever Attempted. Finished This Behemoth, And With 3 Weeks To Spare Before His Birthday!
Crocheting that white cat-like part of the blanket must have been really hard!
I have this issue with my projects, the cats want to model. These two do a lovely job of highlighting your excellent work.

Coral Story Blanket In A Whirl!
Just Made All Of These Beautiful Princesses! Just Got Kicked Out Of A Facebook Group For Posting Them. But I Thought Your Guys Would Appreciate All My Hard Work!
The group probably bans copyrighted / unlicensed materials. Some people use craft groups to sell their works, and the group could get into trouble if someone would use it to sell, say, Harry Potter scarves.
Load More Replies...she used the perfect string for their skin tones and I thank her for that
It’s Disney, they are very particular about y the “images” they own (have copyrights to). And they won’t budge unless the person wanting to use their “images” pays them a royalty for it. Which can be $500 to $1000 per “image” used depending on how many units the person wants to produce with that particular “image(s)”… it’s very greedy but that’s how copyrights work with corporations- unfortunately.
Load More Replies...Copyright issues. You can't sell stuff from an existing printed pattern.
I don't understand. People sell their patterns all the time so that others can make & sell the finished product..
Load More Replies...They're so cute and beautifuuuuul! That is a lot of hard work, for a very amazing result!! 💕
I’m So Happy With How This Turned Out!

A Crocheted Mobile For My Little Girl, Due In 3 Weeks!
Aww yaaaaay!! It looks AMAZING, and it's so cool that it will be something so personal and made just for her, instead of buying one
When I asked my granddaughter for the measurements of my great-granddaughter, she asked me why I wanted them and I told her that I wanted to make a dress for my great-granddaughter. She yelled at me for wanting to make something hand-made and asked me why I wanted to go to all the trouble. I explained that making something with your own hands shows your love, and she told me that buying anything shows your love. I don't know what to say.

Too cute. Maybe she will hang on to it and use it for any future children she may have. My great aunt crocheted me a beautiful receiving blanket before I was born and I carried it around until I was 6 or so. My mom put it away and gave it to me when I was nearing the end of my pregnancy. My son adored it, too. Again it is put away in case he decides to have children.
