This Facebook Group Documents Examples Of Bad Drivers, And Here Are 35 Of Their Funniest Posts
There’s nothing like the sense of adventure you get while sitting comfortably in your car, winding your way down a scenic path, with a good song on the radio. Maybe you’ve got great company in the car, keeping you smiling throughout. Maybe you’re planning a stop at the world’s best roadside diner later on. Whatever the case—you’re brimming with joy and happiness.
However, that’s an overly romanticized view of driving. Everything up above doesn’t happen all too often. In reality, the world of driving is… well, it’s imperfect to put it diplomatically. Road raging jerks, impatient drivers who will zoom past you because you were adhering to the speed limits, clunky cars, and accidents that seem like they’re from a comedy show are just the tip of the iceberg.
The popular ‘Bad Drivers’ Facebook group shows us the utterly hilarious and sometimes totally bizarre side of driving and we’ve collected some of their very best posts to help speed your way towards the weekend. Check out the driving pics and memes about bad drivers below, remember to upvote the ones that you enjoyed the most, and tell us all about what you love and hate about driving the most in the comments, dear Pandas.

The ‘Bad Drivers’ Facebook group was founded over 3 years ago, back in January 2018. Since then, it has amassed a pretty large following with its driving-related content. At the time of writing, the online group had just over 595k members. In the last week alone, there were a whopping 8.7k new members.
The group had 374 posts in the last month, which averages to just over 10 per day. Though that number can vary wildly. For instance, within the last 24 hours at the time of writing, there had been 33 new posts shared by members of the group.
"Park according to the rules"
The administrators and moderators ask that all members of the group be “kind and courteous” to one another and respect each other’s privacy. They’re very firm about there not being any bullying or hate speech, too. What’s more, any sort of self-promotion or spam isn’t allowed. The content has to be related to driving and, well, bad drivers in some shape or form. Random and irrelevant posts won’t get you much love on ‘Bad Drivers.’
"This should be ticketable offense"
Can someone please explain to me why everyone isn't just changing lanes? I know this is really inconsiderate of the first driver to be so slow in the "fast lane" but why not just pass him? UPDATE: Thank you informative pandas. 🤔
At least in here it's illegal to bypass from the right.
Load More Replies...Saw a couple of stickers on a huge lorry the other day and I think it relates so; here in the UK we drive on the left, two stickers on the back of this behemoth and the one on the right said 'Overtakers' with a little arrow showing you the way to pass safely, the one on the left just said 'Undertakers' with a little arrow showing you the way to your fiery demise. Safe yet fun. Well done Mr. Lorry Man.
In the U.S., it differs by state, but in some states this is ticketable.
Yeah, this appears to be in Oregon or Washington (I see both plates), and it is a ticketable offence if you have a line of 5 cars behind you.
Load More Replies...The picture might be very misleading. I like to drive fast (really fast) and as much it is sometimes annoying when someone drives very long in the left line consider please that drivers who might not like to drive as fast as you is also allowed to pass a car slower then theirs
Do you mean speed or drive the speed limit?
Load More Replies...IIRC, in Germany the custom is to turn on the left blinker, signaling "if I had another lane on the left, I'd use it to pass you."
Load More Replies...You can get a ticket for this, at least in the U.S. for impeding the flow of traffic.
left lane is not to allow people to create a reckless environment that endangers all lives. if the guy in front was going 10mph over speed limit then he's in "passing mode and is overtaking pickup on right. would need more info here.
not enough context to this. maybe the guy in white car was driving like a maniac, and he's being boxed in. I'm all for that.
It is. In most places you can get a ticket for driving too slowly. In Illinois, it's called "creating a hazardous condition" and the fines start at $200.00.
Speed differential is the real problem. It isn't just the car driving too fast. Usually the slow car doesn't know they are responsible for many accidents.
Load More Replies...Would pull out and beep a dozen or so times, give him the finger and call him a fraking wanker
Depending on how much traffic they create, how long they have been sitting there, and how slow -- under the speed limit? Absolutely. The sooner they move over, the quicker the traffic jam goes away.
Load More Replies...It's a problem whenever a car paces with a vehicle in the next lane over, rather than the one in front of them. It screws up everyone's road rhythms and backs up the entire highway.
This person deserves to be side swiped while passing around dumbass to get around them
Oh Lordy, this is a confusing one for me lol, here in Britain, this is not a problem as we drive on the left!
This happens the other way though - people blocking the right hand lane on dual carriageways by going slowly. Illegal and dangerous to pass on the inside due to blind spots. I nearly hit someone once as they were passing me on the inside when I was trying to get back into that lane - I was being held up by fools hogging the outside lane.
Load More Replies...Honestly, I think cars do this deliberately as they take the opportunity to check their mobile phones by keeping tucked in behind.............. I see it in this country all the time. You can tell immediately by the way someone is driving whether they are checking their phones or not. I could bet 3 or 4 of these cars are checking mobile phones.................
is it is possible this is a 45km car that needs to pre-sort to be able to turn left?
It is a ticketable offence in most states, but speeding tickets are so much EASIER.....
It is against the law in about 48 states and on all federal highways in The United States.
They aren't in Texas. There's plenty of room to go between the black car, then pass the three vehicles in the right lane, and most Texans wouldn't hesitate. Unless there's a cop watching.
Maybe he isn't slow. Maybe he's driving at the maximum allowed speed and the other behind him are just overspeeding inconsiderate drivers.
On the flip side......... in other countries such as mine the first three should be in the left lane! lol
Closest tag looks like Oregon, so def in the States. I-16 W in GA is so bad most people stay in the left lane to preserve their shocks and alignments.
The right lane is a dedicated lane coming up to an exit. There may not be enough road to allow the other drivers to pass safely.
I swear people like this drive me up the wall! Yes I understand everyone could have changed lanes but the whole point of the left lane (at least where I'm from) is to pass slower traffic. People in my town love to ride the same speed as those in the right lane just to annoy those behind them. There are times in our lives when we are in a hurry due to emergencies. It goes back to "you never know what someone may be going through"
It looks like they're in Oregon & it's illegal to pass on the right. This is what my husband calls The PPO Tour (PPO=Piss People Off)
After seeing in the rear view mirror the looong line of traffic behind him, one would think he'd move over into the travel lane and let them all pass.
In many states in the US this is illegal, creating a safety hazard based on low speed. The rules typically require right lane for the slower speed drivers. Maybe one of the vehicles ahead swerved across lanes and no one wants to risk passing. Or the driver is reading the KPH value on their speedometer.... Or they cannot see well....
This last car appears to have an Oregon tag and interstate 70 runs through Oregon, so I'm going on the assumption this is Oregon. Passing on the right is legal in that state (and in many other states) on multi-lane roads where all traffic is moving in the same direction. That said, in this case it looks like the jerk in the front of this line is too close to the pickup in the right lane to allow passing. I don't have personal experience with drivers in Oregon, but I know here in Florida this is a common occurrence despite signs everywhere telling slow drivers to keep right. You can be ticketed for driving slowly in the 'passing' lanes, but you have to get caught first.
Even though you can’t pass On the right, they could change lanes, and literally pass that car just by going the speed limit…
If this were in Australia, it’s perfectly legal to pass on the right. Travelling so close together is another thing.
Well maybe the person in the front car is just abiding to the speedlimits.
What exactly should you do if you're driving speed limit on the right lane and you're approaching slower group of cars on the left who are hogging the lane that is meant for overtaking only. Legally, you can't pass them on the right. Technically, you are supposed to slow down and drive slower than them just because they are idiots.. For me, it's a situation where you can't win.. And chances of them getting a fine is practically zero.
Hard to tell if the front driver is driving under the speed limit or at the speed limit. If the front driver is driving at the speed limit, I don’t see an issue here and if you fault the driver for driving on the left lane, all vehicles behind the first vehicle should be getting a ticket. In my experience, there are more people exceeding speed limits thinking everybody should move aside for them as opposed to people driving under the speed limit preventing other people to pass them.
Yep! That’s Oregon. My daily commute. This is a constant on most roads in Oregon. Rarely do I ever see these driver’s be ticketed, despite roadside signs stating slow drivers must move to the right. I drive a lot each day for work and another problem with Oregon drivers is the use of high beams. Nothing more fantastic then having an inconsiderate driver behind you or in the opposing lane who refuses to turn off their high beams!
It's disrespectful to show down traffic by driving in the fast lane! We in Australia must keep to the left unless overtaking and when someone rides in the right hand lane slowly, it makes most people mad! Especially if the road is one-lane only, as in not duplicated, so we're forced to sit behind an idiot show driver until road marking indicates its safe to overtake when there's no oncoming traffic, can be dangerous!!!
Some people are oblivious to other road users, lost in their own little bubble, thinking they're perfectly safe...
In many states, it IS a ticketable offense. You're supposed to be passing another vehicle, or out of the lane. Why aren't the other drivers passing? Several possibilities here. 1) They may be in Oregon, based on the closest license plate. Oregon drivers apparently think you get bonus points for driving below the speed limit. 2) In some states, it's illegal to pass on the right, and/or 3) They see the pickup in the right lane and have judged that a) S/he won't speed up and/or b) there isn't enough room between the pickup and the lead car to execute a safe pass.
maybe the guy behind him in the white car was driving like a maniac, creating a hazardous condition that endangers lives....and so he was "blocking him in". I'm fully supportive of such a move. Don't enable bad behaviour or reckless driving. For all we know the guy in front is going 120. No perspective here in this photo.
This looks like Colorado. Absolutely NO ONE knows the law that it's illegal to stay in the far left lane unless passing. These sheeple are RIDIC!!!! Move TF OVER!!!
It is ticketable here in Sweden. I think the same goes for a lot of the EU countries. Now we only need a Police force that actually enforce illegal behaviour in traffic.
It actually is a ticketable offense. The left lane is reserved for passing only; signs are everywhere.
If that is Oregon (I see that OR plate), then that *is* a ticketable offense.
Is that a row of sheep following their leader in the left lane?
My guess would be that there was not a chance at that 4 seconds to merge to the right as there was traffic ( (3 trucks) in that lane. As to why there are no blinkers to change lanes in the gap that seems to be there, I have nothing....might have more cars coming.
I think everyone should be forced to learn to drive in Denver during February... If you can navigate an on-ramp that also serves as an off-ramp at 70mph in the snow and black ice then you can drive during rush hour :)
People don't understand "don't pass on the right". It actually means don't pass on the right shoulder. You can overtake a slower car in any regular lane.
It IS a ticketable offense in California, especially on mountain roads!
Actually, since this is in the United States, it is probably legal to pass on the right. Since traffic laws vary widely from state to state and province to province, it is better to check the local regulations in any case. When I was working for a company that had trainees attending from all around the world, there was a large sign in the break room stating that 'Passing on the right IS LEGAL in California' ...
I was looking at it thinking what's the issue other than the cars in the right hand lane should have pulled back in after overtaking. Then I remembered not everyone drives on the left!
i don't see the issue? people are overtaking a slower car/truck, which is normal. the only thing i can see that wouldn't be allowed in sweden is the pretty sharp turn in the road before they ask have time to safely return to the right lane.
I think the first car is/was break checking the one behind, thus causing the tailback.
This was me when my driver instructor had me go and drive in the highway for the first time (which was just few days ago) 😂 he kept urging me to go 70 - felt like a rollercoaster ride
Happened to me quite a few times (as the car in the front), i drove at max allowed speed, i switch lane to move around slower car/truck but people going way faster (than allowed) are starting to close on me... Once i finished overtaking the car/truck, they accelerate again and bye bye..
WELL OF COURSE IT'S OREGON. Stupid useless dumbasses drive in OREGON!!! Stupid useless folks
If the speed sign is 70mph and I'm driving 75mph and people want to race that is not my problem.
You are not a police to decide, who you can slow down or block. There can be in car behind you somebody who rush to the hospital. Even if not, you are not the police to decide who you will “punish” for fast ride…
Load More Replies...This makes me stabby. The left lane is for criminal speeds. Luckily, I live in Indiana and the police give tickets for this.
Driving is just like any other skill—the more experience you have, the more effort you put into honing your abilities (and talents if you’ve got any), the better you’ll perform. So being a good driver is about putting in the time and improving slowly over time. There are no shortcuts because patience, perception, the ability to keep cool under stress, and being able to react quickly are what’s needed. You can’t cheat your way into that, so be prepared to put in a lot of hours behind the wheel before you feel confident.
"Only in Tennessee do you put your woman out on the top of the car."
"I'll just hop the curb" he said, "it will be fine" he said.
Confidence, or rather overconfidence, can be very insidious, however. You can’t ever fully relax behind the wheel because that’s when accidents tend to happen. You always need to be aware of your surroundings. Texting someone while driving is way out of line. Leave your 101 unanswered Facebook messages and 13 emails for when you’re getting a cup of coffee or when you’re safely back home.
It’s common sense that you shouldn’t drive when you’re sleepy or if you’ve had any alcohol. What’s more, you ought to adjust your mirrors properly every time you get into the car. Obviously, don’t forget to view your mirrors. And however fun the ‘Fast & Furious’ films might look, in reality, speed won’t get you anywhere but in danger if you lack the necessary skills and control. It’s always best to match the speed of the traffic and play by the rules. After all, you want to be a good driver, not a bad one. Right?
Have you seen the new Chevrolet Jeep crossover? It's fully functional with passenger view control and an open concept no-doors design.
"No disabled disc displayed and walked into the supermarket with the carpark only half full."
How to change engine oil - "Squeeze the car until the old oil is fully extracted..."
"More cyclists. Turns out they aren't very good in cars either"
"boy she high as hell"
Do not move. I don't care if the light turns green. I would sit as still as possible until this car leaves the intersection. I do not trust that driver and that kind of driving terrifies me.
The truth about this picture, is that the street was one way and already put the parking spots that way. Few weeks later, due to traffic the street remaind one way street but in the opposite direction. So, basically, it's nothing wrong(except the municipality should mark again in the other way the parking spots)
one thing I really admire about U.S drivers is how polite they are (in general, of course) and how they follow basic common courtesy rules. I've lived in a lot of places, and even though there's always good, bad and in between, U.S drivers are, by far, my favorite. As a fellow driver, and also as a pedestrian (especially the latter). In the city I currently live, drivers park on the sidewalk (and have the audacity of getting offended when you complain, which I always do while laughing at them), they think everything is a highway (even narrow neighborhood streets where kids play) and everything you can imagine. The worst part? compared to the rest of south american, chilean drivers are the nicest. In Peru they don't even stop at crosswalks. If you're lucky, they'll respect a red light. Fun fact: two days ago, some idiot blocked my driveway, and when I went to tell her to move her car, she started yelling at me about how uneducated I was, and "threatened" to call the cops because I was "disrespectful" (because I told her to move her car, not only because she was blocking my driveway, which is a violation already, but because my street has no parking allowed during certain hours -clearly another violation)... anyway, I ended up calling them, and they gave her not one, but TWO tickets, which I knew would happen. The officer even told her she was being ridiculous and childish 🤣🤣🤣
Some of these are bad drivers. Some are just poor people trying to get by. Kinda sad really. To have to go through that is bad enough. To have some judgy a**hole post your pic as a gag without your consent makes it worse.
Being poor sucks. All the same, driving some cobbled together thing that's mostly duct tape and rust, without properly functioning brakes, tyres etc, is dangerous for other road users as well as the driver. If your poorly maintained car can't stop suddenly when it needs to, for example, that's an accident that didn't need to happen.
Load More Replies...Even if the vehicle you drive is a piece of sh*t, make sure it is roadworthy and you have functioning brakes and good tread on your tyres. I've driven used cars for most of my life and though they weren't the prettiest to look at, I always made sure my tyres and brakes were in good shape.
A few months ago in downtown Portland (OR), I was waiting in the car when a little green Prius tried to pull into the massive space in front of me. They backed in and started pulling forward and hit the RAV4 in front of them (luckily the RAV4 had a bike rack so there was no damage to the car). They backed up a bit, then pulled forward and hit the RAV4 again. Eventually, they backed up and left.
Parallel parking is beyond many people... I park up a lot when I'm working and practice DOES help! As a general rule I park "nose-out" wherever I can so pulling out of a spot affords me a better view of my surroundings. And my approach to parallel parking is to measure the spot visually before I make a SLOW attempt, straightening up and calmly reattempting the maneuver if I don't succeed the first time (tyres onto the curb).
Load More Replies...I wish I knew how to put pictures in comments because I have a picture of a car I didn't like that I saw. Not nearly as bad as any of these but the dashboard of the car was furry. Like long furry rug type idk it was weird I didn't like it
