30 Australians Realize They Can Only Go Out To Take The Bins Out, Turn It Into A Special Occasion By Dressing Up In Their Best Clothes
If you're following the rules of the quarantine responsibly, you probably only leave your house when you have to. With pretty much all entertainment venues being closed and events canceled, there are not that many places left to visit anyway. However, one thing that is still working as smoothly as it used to is garbage day. Quickly, people began to realize that the only time they can enjoy a little bit of fresh air guilt-free is when they are taking out their trash. To honor this precious moment, a handful of people in Australia decided to properly dress up when they are handling their bins.
The whole thing was started as a dare when Danielle Askew from Queensland challenged her friend to dress up in her fanciest clothes while taking out the bins. "My friend put a meme on her Facebook page ‘Day 6 of isolation excited it’s bin night so I get to go out’. I dared her to dress up for it and she said she would," Danielle told Bored Panda. Amused by the result, Danielle started a Facebook group called Bin Isolation Outing and thousands of people followed suit. "I made the page to make my friends laugh as I live to make people laugh," she explained. The woman didn't expect that the group will go viral, however, she's happy that the group made people laugh during these trying times. "I’m amazed at how it has gone viral," Danielle said. "I feel people just need a reason to smile, a reason to dress up and a reason to look forward to the next day."
Danielle admits that the pandemic has changed her life. "The pandemic changed my very social life to staying home, no social coffees at the cafe, no eating out at fabulous local restaurants, no going out to celebrate my birthday next week!" However, she's trying to make the best of it. Other than running a Bin Isolation Outing group she says that she's keeping herself occupied by doing "old school crafts such as crocheting".
The group now has over 220,000 fans who are posting the fancy attire they put on to celebrate this special bin-handling occasion. Scroll down below to see some of the best ones!

It was our neighbours’ wedding anniversary so we had a wedding theme. Bins out at 6pm. The whole street got involved. Appropriately distanced of course. The three kids are all mine so distancing ain’t a thing - they may as well lick each other’s eyeballs with the level of hygiene they have.
So I tricked my partner into believing that all our neighbours were dressing up in silly clothes to take the bins out at 6:30.
