Hungry? Well, this article might find you craving food even more. Tasty-looking bagels, pies, croissants and other mouth-watering dishes. That is what Christina Kunanets puts on her vintage plates. Except... you cannot eat them. Or at least we wouldn't advise you to.
Christina is an artist from Lviv, Ukraine who creates original 3D oil paintings depicting delicious meals. She puts a thick layer of paint to make the food highly realistic and even more desirable. Has your belly started rumbling yet? Sorry, but we warned you!

Very good painting...but why eggs, bacon, toast...and..... peas??
The details are very good in the plates and the overall composition and colours, but I think the cast shadows need to be darker and certain other areas to make it appear more 3D. If you squint down at the original set up/photo it makes it easier to see where the areas of dark are. Or turn a photo into black and white to get the values right.
I don't like being deceived. Especially with all that lovely food :')
