Bored Panda reached out to Alex, the page owner of the page "90s Kids Only" on Instagram, to get an insider scoop on the nostalgic memes that take us back to a beloved era!
When asked, about the meme selection process for the page, Alex shared, "Oh, it’s a fun process! I usually dig through the goldmine of the 90s, picking up stuff that instantly takes you back, you know? I love things that are universally relatable to all 90s kids – like the pain of dial-up Internet or the joy of Saturday morning cartoons. Sometimes followers send in their own nostalgic finds too, and if it gives me a good laugh or hits me right in the feels, it goes up!"

In response to the question about the uniqueness of the 90s nostalgia, Alex explained to Bored Panda, “The 90s were just a magical time, man! We had the best of both worlds – awesome cartoons, epic toys, and we were the last generation to enjoy a childhood without being glued to smartphones. It was a simpler, carefree time, and who wouldn’t feel nostalgic about that?”

We had something called a ''phone tree'', the one whom had to leave home earliest was on top, and so on.. and they had to call the next one on the list to tell school was cancelled.

Comparing Batman in the various live action eras is like comparing apples to oranges to bananas to kiwis. Each era had its best batman, some by virtue of there only being one such era. Adam West for his. Michael Keaton for the 80-90 era. Christian Bale for his. Robert Pattinson for his. I'm not counting Ben Affleck since his Batman didn't really have an era.

He will always be *my* Batman, that's for sure, and I am saying this as a great fan of Christian Bale and specifically Batman Begins. I just don't compare the Burton and Nolan films. But yes, Michael Keaton is the person I picture when I think Batman. Christian Bale's Batman, to me, is a different take that completely exists in its own right, but I would never recommend the Nolan films as an introduction to the Batman universe.

Can confirm XD I’m 41 and my bedroom at my childhood home still has them on the ceiling.

Pfff snakes. Our biology teacher was a falconer, he regularly brought hawks, weasels and a gaggle of hunting dogs to work. When our class trip had to be cancelled because of terrible weather, he just said "no problem, meet me in the biology room" and then he brought this gigantic hawk that he let fly in the room. "Don't worry he's very old, he just wants pets." We spent our rainy "class trip" watching comedy movies while an old hawk flew from desk to desk.

I got a British happy meal a few months ago and it came with a board game inside that myself and my friend (both very much adults) turned into a drinking game on holiday. Even had others around us asking where we got it from! UK happy meal toys really seem to have gone up in value in recent years, plus they're all fully recyclable once you're done playing with them. I found one from when I was a child in the 90's and it's just a lump of plastic with 2 tiny wheels on the bottom. Think it's more the nostalgia of the time, then the actual toy for this meme.

Trying to play in the car on a long car trip, at night- straining to get enough light from each passing lamp post. Then hitting a part of the motorway that didn't have lamp posts and losing. Obviously you couldn't have the light on inside the car, as we all know that was illegal! The struggle was real!

Gosh I don't, I'm deaf now and I can still hear the awful noise these made when they were moved. Not to add, how awful they are for the environment. Luckily they're now banned from being used as a takeaway option in the UK

That was usually paid for by their own wages, when they're already chronically underpaid. Teaching is the only profession where you steal from your own home to bring it into work. Even in schools (in the UK) I worked at where we actually got a budget to do treats like this once a year I probably still spent about £30-35 a month on my students out of my own pocket. Plus in the UK we get money to buy stuff we actually need for our classroom, which is much more than teachers in the USA seem to get! I'm glad students didn't know we did this. We didn't do it for that reason, we do it because of why you do the job- for the love of it. Also because we know many of the students won't get that at home and it put everyone at that moment on an even playing field.

Ah "90s kids only", as if 70s and 80s kids didn't live through those moments, and 50s and 60s kids didn't have kids/grandkids who lived through those bits so absorbed them. I do love gatekeeping nostalgia, particularly with blinkers on as if anyone older wouldn't be aware of your secret language. "Only 50s kids remember The Beatles!" is how this list sounds.
