Impressively Detailed Pen Doodles By Kerby Rosanes

Do you remember those imaginative doodles you used to make in your high school notebook? Maybe you still make them. But Phillipine-based illustrator Kerby Rosanes creates doodles (as he calls them) that are probably several orders of magnitude greater than any you or I have ever made. Overwhelmingly busy and detailed compositions seem to be part of Rosanes’ signature style. His illustrations involve densely and richly detailed worlds.

This series of drawings by reddit user Tatsputin illustrates the creative and playful collaborations that can happen when an uninhibited child and a creative adult combine their efforts. When Tatsputin takes his monthly three-hour work-related flight, his two children give him their drawings for him to color in.

Drawings Made of Thousands of Cartoon Doodles

When viewed from a distance, the works of Sagaki Keita may look like another attempt to recreate classical paintings and sculptures, but when you come closer, you start to notice that his drawings are all made of thousands of cartoon doodles. Tokyo-based artist draws in ink, usually with a 0.38mm pen, and, amazingly, all of his works are completely improvised without being drafted first.
