This is quite wrong, the "deities" depicted in this image are wrong. First of all, the 1st one, after the sun is what modern people called 'Venus' (not to be confused with Venus from Milo). She's not as much of a deity, as she is a representation of fertility, more of a "lucky charm" to protect pregnant women. There have been many statues like this one, and there were even some statues with women giving birth to children, again, a symbol of fertility (since this was a big deal back then!). The second one is actually Anubis, the God of Death, not the one who was the most importance in Ancient Egypt. Altough it is true that Egyptians had a huge cult for Death and they even wrote a whole ocult book about it, the author should have drawn Osiris, since he also drew Zeus and Jesus, not Hades and the Devil. Anyways, the concept is really good but I personally believe the author should have done a little more reasearch before drawing this.

I think it's saying that we've become nothing but consumers, the picture showing humans evolving into a upc code.
