When you're young, all you want to do is grow up. But then you hit your twenties and you begin to realize that growing up isn't as great as it once seemed. Because growing up doesn't just mean being taller, being able to drive, and being able to buy your own alcohol AND consume it. It also means having responsibilities, having to answer awkward questions about your career prospects and family plans, and, well, basically acting all grown up and mature.

If you're a twentysomething struggling to cope with adulthood then, as you can see from these tweets compiled by Bored Panda, you're not the only one.

Very true..If mum discovered a spot, rash, bump or blemish on us, we'd be dragged off to the Docs, convinced we had the beginnings of some deadly disease.. Then after we leave home,we find ourselves buying Nurofen, crossing our fingers and hoping that spot, rash, bump or blemish are insect bites....Until we speak to Mum...And now have insomnia too..

Oh, come on, people... This is just FEELINGS expressed into words, it's not like someone is actually asking others to get things done for them.

This is a cultural difference, I guess, but when I was young and saw in American films, series and cartoons parents sending their children to their room as a punishment, I never understood the purpose behind it. Now I do see why, but when I was a kid, it was like "why would they be sent to their room where they have all the cool toys and games and all? In Japanese cartoons, on the other hand, teenagers would drammatically run into their room (or out of their home) when they'd have a family quarrel with their parents. This one made much more sense to me. When I was a kid, as punishment, we'd usually tend to be told to go to the (empty) corner, sit down and do nothing, or we'd be stopped from going out meeting with friends.
