It’s utterly strange to see these people, who shaped the world we live in now, as simple teenagers with all the innocence in the world and, in most cases, cluelessness about what the future is holding for them.

If you think about it, what he accomplished is actually quite fascinating. How more or less one man could brainwash an entire nation. Not condoning it or anything. But this part of German history is interesting.

No, he had a longer mustache when he was younger. In his mid twenties, he shaves it down to the Chaplin style mustache because he couldn't form a proper seal on a gas mask (military requirement) with his longer mustache.

My 87 year-old mother-in-law worked for the Batista gov't back in Cuba in the '50's. She and husband had to flee for their lives coming through Canada first before becoming a citizen of the USA. She has avowed never to return to her homeland b/c of Castro and his policies and my heart hurts for her when she speaks of the old days. Gave me tons of perspective.

Dilma Rousseff was a terrorist, the Brazilian military dictatorship happened to avoid the communism in the country and was intended to be temporary and end as soon as possible, but it lasted 21 years when the military regime wasn't necessary anymore, the military decided by themselves to end the regime, and protests were allowed. At least we have more freedom than the Cubans, maybe we would have more freedom if Dilma and her predecessor weren't elected.

In all of these pictures of famous (and infamous) world leaders, they were either in military school garb or with their families when they were little or shaking the hand of another older famous world leader...except for Obama. For his picture, they showed him smoking pot. Come on, Bored Panda. You can do better than that. You must do better than that. This kind of racial microaggression will not be tolerated.
