I just watched it for a while and I like how Jon Ronson shows how she was exploited and people made money off her mistake. All while promoting his book where he wrote about her, lol. He exploited her for money, too, and doesn't seem to see the irony.

Public shaming is a real issue but when someone choses to tweet or post something that totally stupid, offensive, or uninformed on a public forum, what is to be expected? People's confidence in their misinformation and uninformed views is astonishing and can be harmful.

Honestly, as woman, I have seen, witnessed and been subjected to enough gross dudes and sexist views on women that I have had to create this strong barrier of truth and self worth between me and them. One I hope they never try to break. This specifically fuels the protectiveness in me for younger women I know. It's guys like this that ruin women feeling safe with men.
