Bored Panda reached out to Kristina, who kindly shared her perspective on short haircuts and how they have changed people’s lives.
Kristina’s life was also heavily influenced by getting a short haircut. She shared her story: “I have been wearing short haircuts for a very long time now. When I first got a short haircut, it changed my entire life. I connected my inner and outer self; my soul and my appearance harmonized. I realized that a short haircut is comfort, style, it's sexy and beautiful. When I studied to become a hairstylist, I knew I wanted to show women how happily they can live with a short haircut, how it can change their lives, reveal their beauty, make them striking, bright, and beautiful.”
Since a short haircut had an impact on her own happiness, we asked Kristina to share more about the emotional transformations she witnessed in her clients as they transitioned to shorter styles.
“Yes, the lives of my clients have truly changed. Some became more confident and found new successful jobs. For others, confidence after a short haircut led to meeting a loved one, getting married, and starting a family. Some finally connected with themselves, feeling light, free, comfortable, and simply happy. A lot of changes happen when a woman breaks free from the stereotypes of long hair and embraces freedom of thought,” wrote Kristina.
Considering the personalization aspect of Kristina’s work, we asked her how she tailors short haircuts to suit an individual's preferences, personality, and overall charisma.
Kristina responded: “I take into account all physical and physiological data and features of a woman—her hair, appearance, bone structure of the head, facial features. I also consider the client's preferences, their style, what they want to convey through their image.”
Kristina also shared the techniques and styling principles she employs to achieve the desired results and enhance the overall look of her clients.
“Starting with the fact that hair must be well-groomed and healthy, there should be a good quality haircut and texture. Styling and personalization are also crucial; it depends on my understanding of the client, their style, and the harmony with their overall appearance,” explained Kristina.
The hairstylist also shared her opinion on what role self-realization plays in her profession, and how she sees it reflected in the transformations she brings about through her work.
“I believe that being a hairstylist is a highly creative profession, where a person, like a sculptor, can express their talents. But it's also working with people, including psychological work. It's important to connect mentally with the person, to be able to listen, understand, feel, and help a woman gain confidence, and improve the quality of life through a haircut that wears well, grows out well, and is easy and quick to style,” shared Kristina.
And lastly, Kristina added: “When I help a woman become beautiful, confident, and vibrant, when I can realize my creative ambitions, I feel satisfied. I want to show the world how beautiful a woman can look with a short haircut! A woman is free to choose the length of her hair, and she is very attractive and sexy with a short haircut! The main thing is that the haircut is of high quality, well-groomed, and emphasizes the beauty of the woman.”
I love the improvement, but why most of the girls, have no bangs, just a little can soften a girls face, unless she prefers no bangs, that's fine, so pretty !!!
I think she has the facial shape to pull off a short cut, but not this one. This one is just too severe, and I'm not certain it would be flattering on anyone, really.
Yes, it has a very strange hairline, like she's wearing a hat
Load More Replies...Her hair was damaged right up to the roots, going very short was a good call. Now too short? Considering that women wear buzz cuts now, no.
Top is just way too short. Mayne styled differently looks like a little boy’s bowl cut.
Maybe not as short would have been better. The top is just way too short.
If the longer hair had a bit of TLC I'd say that's a much better style for her.
She'd look better with some wave. That Vulcan cut doesn't suit her.
I love it, stop being so judgmental honestly, it’s kinda ruining the vibe.
A pretty girl, not sure about the style, perhaps just a little hair on her face !!!
should have kept it just a tiny bit longer, just to keep some of them curls, but otherwise, it does still suit her. :)
Shorter looks fresh clean and healthy.. The long looks haggard over bleached and fried.
This is not good, need a softer style, like pixie would be softer and cute, need a gentle style as pixie is soft and cute, for anyone, let it grow a little, and change, I hope this helps !!!
I do appreciate that they are wearing the same clothes and makeup in both pics. Sometimes the before pics are bare-faced and badly lit. And the after are all fixed up and even filtered.
Yes, I noticed that too! They really made an effort. There are still differences in the before and after, which can fool somebody, but they are minimal. I hate it when they shoot the after photos more professional, so that they seen the better choice.
Load More Replies...okay, i'm abt to get downvoted to hell for this, but i don't get why there should be people judging, or even a list at all, about people getting haircuts. if they like it, that;s all that matters. not if you, some random stranger on the internet, thinks its ugly or cool or whatever.
Why this post exists confounds me. Its like we discovered a new race of short haired women.
Load More Replies...I notice that the ones where the short haircuts work are the ones where the women have high, sharply defined cheekbones. Even where there are other strongly feminine features, many of these haircuts don't work.
Load More Replies...I wouldn't use this stylist. Most of the cuts were too short, too masculine and a lot of them defied the laws of gravity. This means a real pain on a day to day basis. I don't want a style I have to spray into a helmet to keep it the way the stylist cut it.
The hair stylist knows three cuts and that is all. I think the before pictures are of unkempt hair that wasn't styled because they were getting it cut. I don't think most of these women looked much better after the cut and will be hard pressed to style like the hair stylist did for this photoshoot.
How many times is Bored Panda going to push for short haircuts? The pics of the brunette with the purple sweater has definitely been around a lot.
Ah, bless your heart, ginshun. Way to stereotype people. You *gasp* know that having short hair doesn't make you a lesbian? You know that not all queer women have short hair?
Load More Replies...Apparently just saying you don't like the shorter cut gets you downvoted? LOL Whatever.
Oh and I notice half the photos have been added since I first commented on them
Load More Replies...On the one hand, short hair can be very freeing, and all these women look younger in the right picture. Long hair is of course beautiful, but only if it is in excellent condition, and keeping it so is a lot of work. I can't wear it long because it is too thin. However, you have to be very pretty to get away with short hair. There is literally nothing left to hide behind.
this thread taught me that pretty people look pretty and not as pretty people still look nice when they smile. that was it.
More BP toxicity in disguise. This speaks more to their vanity than it does their courage. Maybe instead, just normalize having the body image and hairstyle that works best for you, instead of pretending this type of thing is 'courage'.
I don't see how a great hairstyle is "courage" and I'm not sure why we're getting an ad for a hairdresser disguised as a post. It's daft to call it "toxicity in disguise" though, unless personal grooming is toxic by definition.
Load More Replies...Every single on of them looked better, and younger with the long hair. Short hair makes women look older and boyish, full stop.
Ah bless, Alex. Thanks for stereotyping us. Why don't you post a photograph of yourself so we judge you? *Gasp* You wouldn't like us. Then stop FREAKING judging and stereotyping people. ~One of those short hair women you find ugly
Load More Replies...Amazing that as soon as they cut their hair, they immediately complain to a manager.
I'm sorry, but what an odd comment. If this is who the customers of this particular hairdresser are, who are we to judge it's not an ethnically diverse group?? Should we discuss it with the mayor of the town they live in? Or just let these people be?
