Please give a website with info that backs ups your assertion that the USA ever just allowed illegal immigrants to remain. The crime they committed was not following proper immigration laws of the USA. That's a crime.

I had a friend in high school that had no idea he was undocumented, I don't think he even knew what that meant, really, because nobody talked about that in the late 80's early 90's. He found out when he went to take his DL test.

They don’t have to pay money to study, they gave to pay money to be taught. Teachers deserve to be paid ... their are costs associated with developing good curriculums and . maintaining accreditation (so that students can be guaranteed education standards are being met) not to mention costs associated with brick and mortar schools ... plus all the extras students expect... who do you think should foot the Bill for these costs?

Sure, because people can totally walk around and be successful without a diploma of any sort. I disagree. Tuition rates should either be much lower than they are now or free and have the universities somehow pay their professors through the generous funds that some families/organizations provide for them.

The ironic thing about not letting in immigrants is that, if you look far back enough, we’re all descendants of immigrants, documented and undocumented. He’ll, my paternal grandfather and uncle stowed away on a ship headed for the US, back around 1909-1910. When they disembarked at Ellis Island, they bluffed their way through the line and managed to get okayed to enter the country. So, except for the lack of easily accessible verification of Grandpa’s paperwork, I too would be considered a “Dreamer”. There’s no way I could be sent back to Slovenia (yeah let’s or talk about who else came from there) to live, because my father never taught his kids the language or too, us to visit the relatives still living in Ljubljana.The exception to all this are Native Americans who, though they technically were immigrants themselves when they crossed the Bering Strait and set foot on this unoccupied continent tens of thousand of years ago, they still got here first—-long before anyone else.

We have a similar situation in Britain, but now with Brexit, the racists are loving it, but during the 3 months lockdown this year, Brits wouldn't do food picking jobs so farmers had to hire Europeans in again!!!!

No country can take in an unlimited number of immigrants. The USA has been taking in more than anywhere else for a long time.

There are many many many students that get free education in the United States because they are immigrants... because they meet low income standards and obtain grants (don’t have to pay them Back). These are people whose families paid zero to very little in terms of taxes that par for colleges and universities, not to mention many other Public use areas and services provided by state and federal government. On the contrary - my father served nearly 30 years in the USAF... my mother worked for several non profit agencies serving her community and I also have worked for a non profit agency with at risk kids gor 10 years, and now as a law enforcement officer for 16+. years All of us gave paid our taxes our entire adult lives while earning Total middle class and below incomes. I had to pay in full for both my undergraduate degree and my graduate degree. I worked FT and went to school FT simultaneously. And I am still paying off my student loans. Is that fair? Absolutely not.
