I don’t get why they did that. It’s a gift that u have to pay thousands of dollars to keep alive and healthy each year!! (Don’t downvote it was a joke)

And the hormones! It's not just the time spent growing a baby. Its ALL the hormones that make a mother that's just given birth, instinctually want to keep and protect the baby. Wether the baby has your genes or not. Unimaginable strength and heart that goes into being a surrogate!

depends on where you live. over here you have a long waiting list which leads to waiting times up to seven years for a baby. and before you say: then get a toddler or an older kid! these go straight into the foster system and are hardly ever given up for adoption, because they try very hard to keep the bio parents the only real parents to the kids with visitation as the kids live with their foster parents

Please don't suggest adoption any time infertility or surrogacy is discussed. It is often suggested that a childless couple adopt, but Couples without infertility problems are never encouraged to adopt. Adoption shouldn't be the last resort to get a child; for one thing the process can be intimidating, invasive, expensive and difficult often requires a high level of savings or prohibitively high amounts of net income. Secondly,children in the care system come from chaotic backgrounds. This means they come with behavioural or other additional needs, and along with adoption comes social workers, family court, and potentially a lifetime of birth family contact.Most additions aren't of newborns! It is not the responsibility of infirtile couples to solve the problem of children being placed in the care system. They should not be made to feel that it is. We all should shoulder that responsibility

Oh also, we don't know if the parents who wanted the kid are part of the LGBTQ+ community. They often face greater challenges when it comes to adopting a child because there is a higher change of them being viewed an incapable. There are loads of people on the waiting list, their hearts are in the right place, but sometimes parents are outright blocked from adopting.

I wonder if you go around telling every pregnant woman that she should have adopted instead of getting pregnant.

Adoption is such a beautiful, selfless thing to do. How wonderful for them!
