Lies. The fading of tattoos starts from within the body. Your own immune system sends out macrophages that absorb the ink. So it would never look better under a different layer of skin
But…. I don’t think skin grows like that, does it?? You scrap your knee and it just gets pink and raw. It doesn’t reveal more normal skin. Their isn’t another layer of preserved skin because new skin wouldn’t grow over like that in most cases. Right? Am I even explaining what I mean correctly?
I mean, skin has layers, so what tattoo artists do is that they tattoo it REAL deep, so it's always kinda there, but since skin dies and layers and stuff, the tattoo fades since it wasn't on the original skin. But since it's always there on a deep layer of skin, ig that's why, sorry if I'm speaking rubbish btw

Tattoos are made by putting ink under the outer layer of skin. In the picture, the outer layer was burned and peeled away revealing the layer where the ink was placed.

I have something similar to this...a spider bit me after i had gotten a wolf tattoo, and now it looks like the tattoo is a charcoal drawing, cant tell you how many times people have tried to rub it off lol

This may sound weird as well ? I have Psoriasis, I severely smashed my ankle resulting in screws and metal plates put in. My leg was in plaster, when removed I was able to peel off a sock shaped chunk of thick skin from my foot !
