I had the rarest encounter on Friday. I was shopping in my local Kroger and turned down an aisle where a woman and her daughter where looking at items on the shelf. Without missing a beat, both moved out of my way without me having to ask. Which blew my mind. It was honestly the most refreshing thing I've encountered in a long while. I thanked them profusely because that's the type of behavior that should be over the top acknowledged!

When my sister was 12, I was 21, so I got the job of chaperoning when she went shopping with her friends. She only agreed because at least I was closer to her age. Good thing too, because the first time she went without a chaperone her friend shoplifted and they had to get picked up by parents.

1960s/1970s Computers are big, expensive things. You have to timeshare them with other people and pay for the time you use. You own nothing, you just rent it by the month. 1980s/2010 You own the computer and all the software. It is relatively inexpensive. 2015 Computers are now in the cloud. The cloud is a big, expensive thing. You have to timeshare the cloud with other people and pay for the time you use. You own nothing, you just rent it by the month. The people running the software companies realized that we could buy the software, and keep running it far longer than they wanted. So they force us into the "cloud", telling us how much better it is. But now we can't buy the software, we can only rent it. Whomever though of it is making big bucks off that idea.

You can tell fancy restaurants now by the name ______ & _______. We have River & Fort, River & Post, Ember & Iron. The previous trend was to name it something gross. We still have a Blackfly restaurant & Cowford Chophouse. Before that it was their building number Eleven South, Seasons 52, Rustic 21, Cuisine 76, Coop 303. If it's called a "shack," it could be fancy or humble. Why do they copy each other?
