There Is A Lake In Finland, That Looks Like Finland
In case you're wondering, because I looked it up immediately when I had learned about it: It's manmade, was made in 1991, is 116 meters long, and a 1:10,000 scale of Finland! The construction engineer was Esko Sääskilahti. It was going to be the Centerpoint of a tourist village, but that part was never completed. The lake took a week to excavate. Hope you enjoyed learning some more! :-)

Countries That Have Been Bombed By The US
Key words are "from 1946". Until I noticed that, I was calling Foul in re: Japan.
Load More Replies...Because they started counting juuuuuuust late enough: 1946. The map would've been a little different if they had started, say, 6 years earlier.
Load More Replies...Note: AFTER World War II ended. Don't know why they make that distiction.
Because this is a map to show what the U.S. bombed after World War 2?
Load More Replies...Blame Ronald Regan for the actions in central America. He manage to convince enough of congress that Marxism in Nicaragua posed some sort of existential threat to the US and basically doomed the country to relative poverty.
Load More Replies...So...is anyone else wondering if this is their 'Where might we hit next' map?
So who bombed Japan in WW2? After Pearl Harbour I thought America dropped the nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki? (I think those 2)
What no no no i dont know everything but japan should be there
So...why isn't Japan marked? Edit: just noticed the time period. Nevermind.
Ok. Was going to say Japan is not colored but the map is only after 1946.
most of them in Africa are likely during the Israeli war and those countries were attacking Israel
Missed out one: the continental USA, which the USA accidentally bombed in 1961.
They should have included before 1939, and then there would be France, Romania, Germany,...
No, they really shouldn't. Point of this map is to show what US had become after WWII.
