Contemporary Stairs by Andrii Ortynskyi
Somehow, I would find a way to fall or have my foot slip between the steps and I would break my leg. No thanks!
I grew up in a house with open stairs. Be assured it happens veeeery rarely. Still I share your uneasiness. Mainly because of the alternating colour I think...
Load More Replies...That looks perfect for a lot of toddler accidents and grandma and grandpa accidents. And then some accidents for all ages in between.
My very first impression: "Jeez this is ugly". And yes I also see tripping hazards.
I think it would give me nightmares due to there not being a consistent handrail. The glass part worries me. If I slip and fall will I be able to grab it as I could with just a plain wooden one?
Nice looking, but problematic. Uneven rail, too. For some it would be ok.
Ugh! Way too ugly and way too modern. Hate the wood and acrylic together. 👎🏻
Cool, but I would be afraid of falling up them because of the different colors and trying to figure out where to step. Maybe its just me.
What's wrong with the 70's? (just in case I do not mean this as an insult of any kind, im just curious)

Möbius Chair By @markowitzdesign
A Möbius strip (or Moebius strip) is a surface with only one side. When you go along such a strip you will visit the entire strip surface including the portion that seems to be on the other side of the strip before returning to the starting point. Therefore, the structure of this chair is clearly not a Möbius strip because it has to surfaces.

Concrete Block Bedside Table By The New Design
I find a many of these impractical. They would pretty much only suit as decoration and wasted space than be of any use. Whilst the design and creativity is great and of course a lot of effort went into these. I just find they are more suited for an art gallery than someone’s home.
I enjoyed these. A lot, okay most, of them were impractical for everyday use but that probably wasn't the purpose. It was good showcase for the designers imagination.
Would it be easier to just go to Pinterest? They are all from there and with correct links to original places...
It used to be but now ever 5th image on my feed is an ad which is why I just deleted my account. Advertising may be necessary but every 5th pin???
Load More Replies...Moral of the thread: CGI renders are pretty, but interior design is impractical and ultimately results in just useless art ;)
As fun design challenges, there are some neat ideas here, as actual living furniture/space? Very few would realistically work.
So many yummy chew toys for my dog to wreck. This is why I can't have nice things.
Some of these actually make sense but some are just, sorry to say it, stupid. My fave was the Sibling room. The dumbest 2, I think, are the Outdoor bathtub and the Bluetooth table speaker. I would rather buy a $10 plug-in-to-my-phone-speaker than a how-ever-much-that-was table thing! Plus, I'm preeeeety sure it's not waterproof.
Can not believe all the negative comments.....Again it makes me glad my family looks for the good, You do decide how to face life's bumps. Each artist exposed their idea to you, & you responded how?
Imagine you drunk as hell and trying to walk through any of these rooms/up the staircases.
Love some of these designs, but...... I guess If you have lots of money, you will actually be able to afford some of these nice things ;-)
Such negativity in the comments! I find them all quite beautiful in their own ways. I love getting on the housing apps and looking at the designs people have done with their homes. Anything unusual is a plus for me.
