Ha! At first I thought you meant literal onions with blood on them.
Load More Replies...You were his lifeline, and a generous person who listened to someone who probably didn't have many to talk to. He was able to do crosswords and talk to a genuine friend. Thank you so much for doing that.
Aww this was really sweet. Poor dude felt like he had to sneak around, stealing crosswords 😂 At least OP handled it well, so many people escalate things these days for no reason.
You know that saying “out of sight, out of mind”? I think that idea rings true for a lot of us. And this day in age, where we’re dealing with, or at the very least witnessing, a pandemic, war and the destruction of our planet due to climate change (that we caused!), it can be easy for uplifting stories to fade right out of sight. And it’s not our fault. When all we see in the media is upsetting reports, it's an understandable reaction to feel like nothing good ever happens anymore. But with pages like Unexpectedly Wholesome, we can bring positivity back to the front of our minds, even for just a few minutes each day.
Writer Emily Torres published a piece last year titled “Why Are We Craving ‘Wholesome’ Things In 2021?”, and she hit the nail on the head by saying, “In a year that’s left nothing but holes in our hearts, we’re all trying to find some way back to our whole selves.”
Major Respect To The Manager Of The Bar
This makes me feel so good. People watching out for others and bugger the consequences. My faith in humanity went up a notch or two,
I used to work in a place that had a policy whereby if a female couldn't walk out on her own accord (being drunk etc), she had to sit in the first aid room until she sobered up. Didn't matter if her "friends" were trying to help her out the door, she wasn't allowed to leave until she got sober
Load More Replies...Kika, i'm sorry. I hope nothing "worse" happened if you know what I mean.

Hotel bartender here. I occasionally have people meeting blind dates at my bar. I always tell the lady before her date arrives: if at any point you feel unsafe, say "Hey Jenna, I'm gonna run to the ladies room, but I'm really curious about that martini you were telling me about earlier". There's a back door to my office right across the the ladies' room.... I meet her there, we chat about what she's feeling and what she wishes to do. If she feels fine(as in not drugged/concerned with that) but wants to go, we handle her Uber and get her outta there. If she fears she's been drugged, we take the steps to have him removed without him knowing SHE said something.
Similar story... I was a young pup in the military. Me and my boys liked to drink whiskey. My buddy saw this guy do the same thing, and imediatley grabbed the guy by the hair and starts wailing on the guy. Out of all of us, he was the most collected, and his decision making was the by far the best. When he made a move, it was the right one. When security came and tried to break up the fight, which was really just asking my buddy to put let the guy down, he said, "This f**k just slipped something in that broads drink. He wants a good time tonight, he can go home with me." He then walks out, dragging the guy by his hair. Security looks at us and asks what the hell is going on, and we if that's what he said happened, then that's what happened. Security immediately calls the cops. My buddy is out side with the door man and the manager, causing a scene, but getting his point across that he's not the a*****e. Cops come, search the guy, find everything from weed to Molly on him.
Emily went on to liken the holes in our hearts to nutrient deficiencies that we can help fix with regular supplements like “smell[ing] the clean fur of a sun-drenched puppy”. “Wholesome moments are everywhere,” Emily notes. “If only we’ll pay attention to them.” She recommends readers become more observant in their daily lives and, instead of rushing through things, stop to appreciate the little things. It’s hard to describe the feeling one gets when experiencing or witnessing a purely wholesome moment, but it’s sort of a rush of warmth that almost does give the sensation of a hole being filled.
Emily also notes that being uplifting doesn’t have to be a temporary state. “Being ‘wholesome’ is not a performance; rather, it’s a state of being that is sustainable and life-giving to us and those around us.” It’s natural to feel a longing for wholesomeness, and we owe it to ourselves, and those around us, to feed that desire and allow positivity to blossom.
Santa Comes In Many Forms
Why we should care about others - the world is scary and unsafe. When we care about each other, it's less scary and unsafe.
I've never done anything like this, but when my daughter was stillborn, I did what I knew: I finished up the hand made stuffed bear I had been making for her, and gifted it to the only other family currently in the maternity ward with a soon-to-be newborn. I explained that though my daughter would never get to hold her, I hoped someone would, and that I would love for their newborn to have a lovingly handmade bear. They cried nearly as much as I did. To this day, im not sure if they kept it or tossed it (who accepts a stuffed bear from a half crazed man in the hospital maternity ward), but either way, it helped heal my heart to at least believe that her bear found another kid to cuddle it.
I very much doubt they tossed it. I bet it really means a lot to them and they'll never forget your kindness and will always cherish that bear.

So how do we find positivity in our daily lives? Aside from a few minutes on the Unexpectedly Wholesome subreddit each day, a doctor might also prescribe you a healthy dose of positive-thinking content through books or podcasts. Luckily, the internet has unlimited resources to help you boost your serotonin levels. One book on this topic is The Happiness Advantage: How a Positive Brain Fuels Success in Work and Life by New York Time’s best-selling author Shawn Achor. Achor is the author of 5 successful books, but The Happiness Advantage is his most popular and is described as “the happy secret to greater success and fulfillment in work and life—a must-read for everyone trying to flourish in a world of increasing stress and negativity”.
I Just Saw This On Fb I Don’t Know If It’s Been Posted Here But I Had All Sorts Of Feels!!! I Definitely Smiled Tho
I had an old lego set. A special desert storm military one. I got it from a friend of my grandma when I was about 10. I kept it for years. When I was 16, I considered trying to give it away or sell it or trash it, but something in my mind kept me from doing that. So I went to visit my grandma. I asked her about her old friend. We arranged to meet up for lunch one day with said friend. I asked her about her son, the guy who originally bought it. Turns out, he loved Legos. He bought that set a month before joining the military. After joining, he was shipped to Iraq. His first tour, he didn't survive. He was driving lead on a patrol convoy. Got hit by a mine. And thats when I remembered, she told my grandma all that 6 years prior, when she originally gave me the set. But I was too young and preoccupied to really notice. She gave me his battalion patch. And since then, the lego set and his patch have always held a prominent position in every home I've lived in.
This is one of the most heartwarming things I've read in a while, I'm in my math class and I'm trying so hard not to cry 😭 this should be higher

As far as podcasts are concerned, the world is your oyster in finding positive content there as well. One popular research-based positive podcast is “The Science of Happiness”, which is hosted by award-winning psychologist Dacher Keltner. The show, which has been running since 2018, now has 115 episodes, with each one featuring tips for leading a more joyful life. Topics the show has covered include “How to Find Your Spark in Life”, “How Gratitude Renews Us”, “24 Hours of Kindness” and “Scheduling Time to Feel Awesome”. Listeners also give the podcast glowing reviews. One fan wrote, “It’s wonderful to learn about yourself through other people’s experiences. It takes the pressure off and allows the listener to be inspired without being deterred by one's own insecurities. These stories are entertaining and thought-provoking.”

It Warms My Heart To See People Who Are Often Stereotyped As Violent Be Caring And Companionate
I actually have biker family friends, for reason the name of the group is not going to be mentioned and they are the nicest people. Some people don't get along sometimes but they are so nice and the mean evil stereotype is actually really sad to me.

BACA memeber here: don't know about other organizations, but we don't even interact with defense counsel. We exist to empower abused children, period. And the guy in the pic is my brother, Pipes
My dad is involved in this! My grandmother abused me while he was deployed, and he knew nothing about it. The cause has become very dear to him.
They have pamphlets for these guys at my local library. Dudes need more exposure, a lot of kids could use their help.
I was raised around my uncle’s motorcycle gang… you’ve heard of them. I came from an abusive home. They were so protective and made me feel so safe. I would even bring boyfriends to them for approval. I love them as uncles to this day. There’s bad ones in every group but when you find the kind ones, it’s incredibly self empowering.
Everyone’s definition of wholesome may be slightly different: some people are thrilled by the sight of babies while others only melt when they see adorable animals. Even virtual encounters and memes can be incredibly wholesome for some people. In 2017, Time magazine published a piece titled “How the Internet Is Getting a Little Nicer, One Meme at a Time” detailing the story of how Twitter user @JonnySun gave the Sad Kermit meme, which was viral at the time, an uplifting twist by challenging his followers to turn “a virtual punch line into a symbol of hope”. Some of the captions submitted were “when you remember how much someone loves you" and “when you’re so proud of how far you have come, and excited for how far you have to go". While memes often have a more cynical twist, they can be used to promote a little positivity online as well.

My mom used to make us shove the sidewalk and porch of our elderly next door neighbor. I was about 8 or so. We weren't allowed to accept payment. We didn't have front yards, but we also had to sweep her porch on the weekends when we did ours. She was a wonderful woman. She once gave me 2 hand made dolls she got in Japan when I fell in love with them. Years later discovered they are worth something, but I still have them and think of her when I see them.

One of the reasons the posts on this list are so enjoyable is because the endings are unexpected. But why do our brains always jump to the worst case scenario? Why do we start reading something and begin to brace ourselves for bad news? According to Meg Jay, a clinical psychologist, our brains are actually wired to expect the worst. “When early humans were wandering the Earth, underestimating what was around the corner (or in the bushes or the forest) could be deadly,” Meg explains in a piece for Harvard Business Review. “This is why the most primitive parts of our brains take a ‘better safe than sorry’ approach to uncertainties, both big and small.”

Apparently jumping to the worst case scenario, or catastrophizing, is incredibly common, especially for young people. Meg explains that we’re most likely to have a mindset that assumes the worst between the ages of 18-35, because those are typically the most unsettled years of people’s lives. She goes on to note that the development of the prefrontal cortex that’s happening during our 20’s doesn’t help the situation. “That doesn’t mean young adults can’t cope. Rather, it means that now is a great time to hardwire new habits, such as slowing down and thinking things through.”

Your Job Is To Help Others
@Izzy Curer One would hope it would be made up, but with the state of the world I have my doubts. There are people that have this very mindset.
Yeah, my middle school was usually very open and friendly to LGBT kids and parents, but there are always these big groups of people(mostly kids) who absolutely hated LGBT kids and would make fun of them and say stuff like "LGBTQ means let's kill all the gays"and stuff like that. I really hated them and was disappointed to learn that one was my friend. I didn't hang out with him anymore after that

Damn right. When I was studying gynocolgy and we got to abortion during the lecture, my teacher said "No matter what your beliefs are, you only have one opinion, a medical one".
Right?? Nowhere in the Hippocratic Oath, be it classical or modern, does it say "Treat those who are sick, unless they are lgbtq" It's like when Jesus said "Love your neigbour as yourself". He didn't say "...unless they're a different race, or poor, or gay, or speaks another language than you"; EVERYONE.
When I was younger, late teens, I was on birth control meds to even out my cycle because they were debilitating. Mom took me to my appts and her and I saw the same Dr. I go to pick up my RX from pharmacy and was told they refuse to fill it because the pharmacist was Catholic and it was against his morals. I was Catholic too (not anymore though). I couldn't believe they could do that and it was perfectly legal. Still sickens me to this day! This was in Florida if that makes a difference.
Absolutely absurd. Did he have to transfer the Rx to a different pharmacy for you?
Load More Replies...This seems like it would be a common way that pre-med and even early med school students could get weeded out and change majors. Not specifically this exact situation, but a lot of things similar. "What if I'm against X?" then don't be a doctor. "What if it's against my religion to treat with Y?" then don't be a doctor. "You mean I HAVE to follow Z rule??" if you don't like it, we can always use more engineers, you don't have to be a doctor. It would be easy to believe, honestly.
People Helping People
When dot com’s started to fail in the early 2000’s, a director at a prominent tech magazine, who had to layoff his entire department, posted his entire staff for sale on eBay. The post was eventually removed, citing you can’t sell people, but it was up long enough that it got fantastic publicity and garnered many job offers for each of the staff. I love that story!
Perfect response. I've been laid off twice in my life, and the feeling of isolation was what hit first. My introvert nature made me want to run and hide, but someone doing this for me would make all the difference. Kudos to this manager.
Literally in tears. Could never have imagined a "boss" could be so great.
THIS is what a damn good boss looks like, and I can guarantee you that if they head up a permanent position team, half would immediately go work with them. This made me smile.
Wonderful. It's really not that hard to take care of each other if people think to do it. This is a perfect example. I love it.
Meg then goes on to share tips on how we can stop catastrophizing situations and develop healthier habits. Her first tip is to “stop time traveling”. Most of our fears include future events, perhaps months or years from now. But worrying about the future is not conducive to tackling the tasks we need to complete in the present moment. Next, Meg recommends to focus on whatever it is you’re scared of. “Catastrophizing is based on fear rather than on facts,” she explains. Recognizing the actual facts of a situation often helps us realize that we have little to fear at all.
We Need A Big Strong Woman To Take Care Of Us
It benefits both partners. I'm the quiet one in our marriage, and my wife says that my laid back manner has made her calm down a lot.
My husband is calm, cool and collected. I'm scatter brained, easily distracted and worry about everything. We're total opposites, and yet we balance each other out perfectly. He keeps me from figuratively floating away and helps calm me down when I'm in the middle of a stress induced panic attack. And he says I provide him with endless entertainment and fun. 💖
This is true for the other way around… mashed potatoes are always the most important.
I could go along with someone between those extremes. I am mostly quiet and laid back but there are thing that keep making me snap. Someone with similar attitude but snapping at different reasons might be ideal.

I love these balloons! Seeing this, makes me want to say it, every time I think about, and picture them in my mind! Thank you ☺️
Next, Meg recommends fearful individuals to play out their worst case scenario in their heads. Although it’s probably not the most likely outcome, imagine what would actually happen. Your life will probably still go on. After realizing the worst case, play out your best case scenario. Meg notes that the best and worst case scenarios are often “simply childlike fantasies” with reality falling “somewhere in between”. She explains that catastrophizing is a way of looking at issues as black and white, but what we need to do is see the grey. There is nuance to every situation, and it’s best to avoid fixating on the ends of the spectrum.

Love, love, LOVE! My sis realized that her now 8-yr-old started around 6 sitting up past bedtime to “secretly” read by the dim light of the nightlight. When she figured out what he was doing - and that he only sat up about half an hour after bedtime (usually reading himself to sleep) - she set up a small shelf right next to his bed to put his books on, and got him a headlamp to wear so he wouldnt disturbed his younger brother.

Load More Replies...Gaming Friends Are Real Friends
I played an online game for a long time with a young lady and her sister in Ukraine, I worry about them everyday, and hope they are doing okay.
The Christmas after my husband died unexpectedly the morning after his 57th birthday (his memorial service was 2 wks late on our 26th anniversary & our dog died 1 week after he did), my online friends did our regular Secret Santa exchange, except w/o telling me they decided they would all be *my* secret Santa. I got care packages from across the US, Canada, the UK, and Saudi Arabia. They did a lot more, too, but that really made the holiday season so much easier to get through. Their care for me kept me alive in those early years.
I started playing a mobile war strategy game at a time in my life when I was depressed and alone. I’d lost my mother, my dog, been made redundant and ended a 12 year relationship when he cheated on me. The guys and girls in my alliance became my family. The alliance leader spent hours talking me through the rough spots and helping me regain my confidence. He became my best friend. Never thought I’d actually meet any of them although we talked about it a few times. Roll forward 3 years and I’ve moved 3000 miles away to a new country, got a much better job with a great salary, adopted a new puppy, and play games sitting on the couch next to that same best friend several times a week. Game friends are real friends. Never underestimate the value of them.
I have gaming friends all over the world. We talk about life, music, family. A caring heart isn't limited by distance.
In my teen years, when the friends I had couldn't give two shits about me, I looked for company in online chat rooms. I met some amazing people, who truly cared about me (and I cared as much in return). Although we have drifted apart, I will never forget them.
I met and married my partner from meeting him on an online community in a video game and we're 17 years strong. I'm still friends with the other people in the group also. Online friends are definitely real friends!
I've got a friend I've met online but never met IRL, but we've been friends for over 25 years.
When I was pregnant, I found a website/chat room for parent and parents to be. I became close friends with many of them 15 years ago when we all met online. We've gone through pregnant and watched our kids grow up together. I've met quite a few in person. One of the members died in a horrific car accident along with several of her children and her newborn baby. Our online community really came together and that showed me how important these people had become to my life.
For some of us housebound with disabilities, virtual friendships are a lifesaver!
Lastly, Meg notes that, “The real cure for catastrophizing is confidence, and confidence comes from experience.” While it may feel like we hear bad news everywhere we go, there is plenty of news worth celebrating as well. We just need to know where to look. Our instincts are there to protect us, but what would happen if we started challenging them and viewed our lives through a more optimistic lens? What’s the worst thing that could happen? Okay, now imagine what the best outcome would be. Reality is probably somewhere in the middle...
The World Needs More People Like This
Happened with my partner a few years ago. They asked suddenly "What if it turns out I'm not a man?". My lack of brain-to-mouth filter automatically replied: "That I won't be as gay as I thought I was. And I'll have an excuse to buy more cute stickers!"
I literally just had to go ask my son if this was his response bc not only do you have the same name as him, but this sounds like something he'd say too!

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I have Asperger's but I've always fallen in love with the mind and the soul of a person; I've only had relationships with men and I'm female but I don't consider myself to be heterosexual. Exactly only recently that I started questioning my own sexuality. Just treat everybody with kindness and respect.
Personally I think the labels are getting in the way. Instead of finding that the existing set of labels for sexuality or gender don't fit everyone and deciding to just create more and more, we should instead just get rid of the ones we have. People are people

My dad’s side of the family is all male, they don’t have girls in the last 3 gens so as a joke at least one of them is a girl for Halloween. Since I’m the first girl they figured the tradition should extend to my fiancè, which he did with no problem. After wards he was kinda sour for a while and acting a little off. So I tricked him into shopping at a well known drag store, got him a half a wardrobe before he realized it and was like “wtf?” I explained I’d noticed he’d been acting off lately and thought it was because he wanted to dress like that more so he’s need the right cloths. He started sobbing and said he’d been a woman for years and hadn’t thought he would fall for me and was scared I’d leave him. We were together as wives for 15 years before she went back to her old life as a man. His new girlfriend and family has no idea about any of our life together other then we were together that long.
As someone who is very het, I've mentally combatted this very (hypothetical, for me) situation. I'm not attracted to males, biologically, plain and simple. I would support a transitioning partner, but I don't know how I would stay in a relationship with them.
People break up for lots of reasons and many of those boil down to the partner not being (or no longer being) the person they (thought they) had fallen in love with. If going from generous to selfish or left wing politics to right wing is enough to trigger that, then changing gender or sexuality surely is too. There's no requirement for you to love or fancy all people equally.

I love animals to no limit, and I'm a veterinarian, but yeah I'd do it, and then probably pay for a miniature rabbit enclosure in my backyard for rabbits to go in and out of as they please. It'll have all the things a rabbit likes, that rabbit's death would be put to good use. I ain't gonna turn down 1.5 billion just because it's small and cute. Unless it's a dog. Plus like the guy said, it never stated you had to kill it. So I'd find a way. But that 1.5 Billion is gonna reach my pockets one way or another lol.

Its sooo much!! Maybe you guys don't know the worth of cows in East Africa. Let me tell you, one cow can be sold between 350k-500k. Some even go beyond that depending on the size and age. Its also a sign of friendship. When someone gives you a cow you become a brother or sister to them. Now Imagine 14 cows, that's between 7 and 4.9 million.
When the Choctaw heard about the starving of the Irish in 1847, they collected what I think was around $700 at the time to donate to them. This was less than a decade after they were forced to travel the trail of tears. There is now a sculpture in Ireland to commemorate this act. I want to see something that commemorates this act, too.
Ive seen pics of the sculpture and its a.ma.zing!

I like looking at the names in the credits, some people have super cool names.
Load More Replies...always do. A movie is more than just the director and lead actors. I read everyone's name, they deserve that much.
Fizzy: there sure are a lot of credits, Kermit. Do you think anyone even sees them. Kermit: of course. They all have families.
Oh my God you sound just like Barry, he also likes to clap for the grips.
My whole family always watch credits to the end. We comment on job titles, read out to each other interesting names, and give a collective cheer when 'Production Babies' comes up at the end (can you believe some films completely miss this vital credit???)

"I note that some are warning schools against the computer game Fortnite, saying it engenders aggression and violence. I am a 74 year old who likes to play and keep in touch with his 9 year old grandson, who lives 200 miles away. In playing the game, I've come to interact with many of his friends, who are caring and friendly towards the grandpa among them. They never leave me to die, are quick to attend to me when injured and give patient advice. Their politeness, comradship, team spirit, humour and creative thinking would astound their parents, let alone their teachers. It is a priveledge to be counted among them. Believe me, this game has nothing to do with violence and everything to do with fun."

Online and mobile gaming have both earned a frown from the general public due to the negative actions that are a part of it. But much like anything else, there is a brighter side to online gaming. You can form bonds - remote as they are - with other people that you will provably never meet, but are caring folks who are there for the love of the game and the camaraderie.

This is freakin awesome!! I now consider it a personal challenge to do the same!!!
Although it's very hard to do, I think it's more effective to talk calmly and politely to someone who has insulted your religion, race, sexuality etc. If you tell them to f**k off, they'll probably spread more hate, but if you have a conversation with them, you might just change their views.

This Little Girl's Rock Displayed In A Local Museum
Scagsy, you must have been stoned when you typed that comment.
Load More Replies...Almost 50 years ago, when I was 11, my family went to Japan to visit my grandparents. My brother and I got into a rock throwing contest with our grandfather, and Jiichan could tell I was disappointed I couldn't out-throw him (my brother was older and bigger than I and had a cannon for an arm). He picked up a rock, gave it to me, and told me one day I would out-throw him with that very rock. I brought it home and kept it. I never did get a chance to have a rematch with him because he died of cancer not long afterward. I still have that rock, and I think of my grandfather every time I pick it up.
What a great museum to do that for the little girl. I'm sure it helped her grow an appreciation for all things science, history, geology, etc. Well done!
The museum people are smart. The stone now has value because of the story behind it.

Question for the BPers. If you could use the What-If machine to look at how life would've turned out differently if you had acted/decided differently at various points in your life.... would you use it? If so, what would you look at?
I’m not sure I would use it. I’m rather young still, but even at this point, a lot of things have happened. I don’t know if I’d want to look back and how things could have been different. I’m at a point where even though everything in my life is still a mess and I’m still an emotional wreck most of the time (teenage years), I feel happy with where I am right now and I feel hopeful for the future, and these are things I haven’t felt in a long time. I have my parents, my friends, my amazing partner, my pets, and all the others in my life to thank for that, but I think I also have a little bit of myself to thank. I wouldn’t be here without me, of course, and I don’t think I want to know the could haves of the past, in times where I was in even more pain than I am now. All I want to think about now is the can haves of the future. <3 thank you for posing this question, it got me thinking. Have a wonderful day and take care of yourself :)
Load More Replies...Each and every thing you done, felt, and experienced, has played a role in making you the strong, wonderful person you are today. The good times lift us up. The bad time show is just how brave and strong we really are. And if even one thing hadn't happened, if one thing had been different, if even one piece of the puzzle was left out or changed, you wouldn't be who and where you are, right now. You might not even BE. There's a reason for everything that happens. Whether there's a lesson to be learned, or it's simply another link in the chain of events that makes up your life, that reason is there. We might not always understand that reason, or even see it. But it's there. Hold your head up high. Take pride in yourself. Take heart in your good fortune, and use your bad luck to help build yourself back up even better than before. And never wish things were different. Because you don't know how different they really might be.

I dunno. I know I'm being a Negative Nellie here. I'm usually not. But children like this trigger me. So for me, this straddles the line between cute, and obnoxious. Or at least annoying. I can see where others might think it's charming. I can. But I would just want to get on the bus and sit my tired àss down. Not be blocked by some little mûff wrecker whose mother should have already told him to sit down, stop bothering strangers, and learn to ride the bus just like everyone else does. You don't run me kid. You don't tell adults what to do. I'm not gonna cow to you, because Mommy thinks it's adorable. My feet hurt, my underboobs are sweaty, and my head is pounding from the heat. I'm not in the mood to play games with a child I don't know and I don't want to be forced to smile when I'm really just irritated. Please, just get out of my way, and let me sit down. Besides, he should be sitting down anyway, if only for safety reasons. Not saying what the kid did isn't cute to others. But I personally wouldn't like it.

They're chilling. Spiders aren't interested in people, they can't eat us and therefore we don't matter.

This Is The History Our Kids Will Learn About
I remember that my first game I ever played was on the PS1 called Pandemonium. My brother and I had so much fun playing it and it was the first one we beat together.
Wholesome story: At a supermarket chain they often give you free stickers, depending on how much you buy. Obviously I don't collect them, but I take them anyway for the kids of coworkers. Another coworker does the same, so one day the little daughter of one colleague got a pretty big stack of stickers. Her father told us the next day that she asked him if he is REALLY sure he said thank you to us! And a few days later he came to work with a homemade cake his daughter insisted on making for us. The first cake she made was not pretty enough, so she baked a second, prettier one! Best cake of my life! 😄
Confession time: I'm 35f and love going to arcades and collecting as many tickets as possible for the prizes at the counter, BUT I always give those tickets to someone's child as well as any leftover tokens. The only exception was on my 31st birthday because I saw a little red sock monkey at the prize counter so I got the little red sock monkey and I still love it. 99.99% of the time, though, I just go to play games, then give the tickets/tokens to a child when I'm getting ready to leave.
This list actually made me cry. I haven't had a good cry in 5 weeks. Thanks, BP
