It has been accepted that perfection doesn't exist in the real world. That perfect things don't exist. That perfection only exists as an ideal, a Platonic, ethereal form. It works for the better, as perfectionism can be dangerous for your mental and physical health.
However, although there might not be things that are perfect in the conventional sense, there sure are things that get as close to it as possible. Then, if, at the back of our minds, we acknowledge that there is no such premise as a perfect thing in the world, is there really a problem with treating certain things as if they were?
Sure, deeming things (or people) perfect creates an illusion of a ‘standard’ that must be followed. But we can admire the beauty of others, whether things or people, without questioning our own. Hence, let’s avoid using the word ‘perfect’ to describe awesome things. There are many great adjectives in the English vocabulary to use instead, yet the term ‘perfect’ sometimes just seems to fit better than the others.

Window seat on the plane with no one sitting next to you. Absolute bliss. I saw one girl had this luxury on another flight and she took advantage of the "extra leg room". LOL Wish I thought of that so I could get some sleep on that long flight. I can't sleep sitting. However, waking up an hour before you have to is not nice, imo. That means I can try to fall asleep again and pray I wake up on time.

When you desperately need a blanket, there’s no such thing as a ‘bad’ blanket. No matter its color, the material it’s made of, or how long it hasn’t been washed, it’s always perfect. Even those old itchy ones.
I admit, I have an unhealthy obsession with blankets. When I just HAVE to have a new one, one of my old ones gets transported to my families vacation home. And since it's always cold there everyone is grateful for a blanket. In my fathers bedroom there are 2,one in my brother's room and one or two in the guest room. And of course about 4 or 5 in my room 😂

Natural Curls
Straight-haired girlies can only wish! If you’ve got them, flaunt them, skip the straightener.
I was born with curly hair which, by my early teens, had relaxed to waves. But I wanted stick straight hair, so I used chemical straighteners, as well as blow dryers and straightening irons on it for decades. The chemicals and heat really damaged it. Along came Lockdown and working from home. Perfect time to try something out—-reviving my natural wave. Took about a year and a half, trying out different brands and combinations of curl products, and finally growing out the damaged hair long enough to get it all chopped off, but I finally got my naturally wavy hair back! I don’t ever apply any heat at all to my hair anymore. I just use curl cream after shampooing, which I don’t do every day anymore, and salt spray the next couple days to revive whatever flattened out as I slept on it. I just scrunch up my waves and let them air dry. The most I do is put some hair clips underneath in certain areas that tend to get a bit flat, to give the hair there a bit of lift. I love my hair now so much more than I did when I used to straighten it. I can’t believe I wasted decades trying to force my hair to be something unnatural to it. I should’ve just let my waves alone.
