You don't need to be a computer person to know that exposed wires are trouble. Or that driving a bolt through a screen might cause it to go black. But to some people, technology is so foreign that even these concepts are hard to grasp.
So when they inevitably damage their software and hardware, someone needs to show up and fix the problems... As well as take a picture and post it on the subreddit 'Tech Support Gore' to remind everyone that IT literacy matters.

But you can run windows on a Mac but not Mac OS on windows. What do you call support?
That statement couldn't be more opposite of its meaning if you tried. You can open Windows files on a Mac AND you can even run Windows on a Mac. The opposite is untrue at every turn. I lost count of how many times over the years I've had to assist a Windows-only user on how to send, hand off or open a file not created on a Windows platform. A more accurate example from my point of view would be the iMac being used to hold up a window from sliding down.

Cult? What a strange world you live in. I love Macs, I’d never use anything else, but I don’t give one single fυck about you hating them. Feel free. I have no problem with that; what’s sometimes tiresome is the constant, never ending, frantic nagging and moaning about it. You don’t see me throwing myself over every single picture of a PC so I don’t miss a second of pointing out how much they sυck, how feeble and foolish the users are and how much I personally, deeply take offence at their mere existence. Hate Mac with body and soul as much as you want, just chill about it.

I do a monthly de-dusting on my pc, a little bit more during shedding months, rabbit fur gets everywhere as its such fine fur.
When i had my lionhead, i forgot to dust my PC one month and ended up blowing whole rabbits out of it the next time. It builds up pretty quick.

*Don't have a pick, honestly it's for the best it was nasty.... Anyways, One time at helpdesk, customer brings in their laptop in saying it won't start up. We open the laptop and their is this familiar stench that I can't quite place floods the room, and there are these gross looking brown crystals all over the system board. Turns out their cat peed in their laptop bag and just SOAKED the laptop. Ugh.
Yeah, ammonia. I once had one of those super nice viewsonic screens that had a way better refresh than most. Same fate. I almost killed a cat, but instead starting bagging my monitor when I wasn't using it.

I worked tech support when I was like 18-19, but I've always sounded much younger than I really am. Plus, I'm female, so somehow I always ended up getting the callers that demanded to talk to a man because obviously a "little girl couldn't know much about computers." One night I got one of thise callers, but all of the other guys on my shift were on calls. Guy starts ranting about how we sold him a bad computer, it had turned on earlier and was working fine but it just stopped. It was a Dell laptop (I don't remember the model, but 2001-2003 was when I worked there), so I ran though my normal troubleshooting. Nothing worked, so I told him I was starting the RMA process, and I apologized for all of the trouble, when he goes "oh wait, the power in my building just came back on." He seriously didn't understand why his power being off would affect a dead laptop battery.
In Drama this year we were working on some scenes we'd written and our director (An older student taking the directing class my school offers) walks out to go do something. One of the girls goes up to perform her scene, accidentally drops her Chromebook, and the screen just... pops off... We all just stare at it for a moment because despite being detached, the screen is still on. So the girl just clicks it back onto the rest of the computer and says "We do not tell [director] about this"
Are you sure it wasn't a 2-in-1 Chromebook? Where it's a hybrid tablet
