So, without further ado, we invite you to take a closer look at captivating urban life.

Bored Panda got in touch with one of the photographers featured in this post, so feel free to read the full interview with Dimitris Makrygiannakis down below.

Dimitris's picture of a dog on a balcony is truly amusing. We asked him to tell us more about the context behind this image.

“This photo was taken during a family trip in Albania recently. I was walking with my family when I saw the dog. I saw the possibility with the eyes and made several shots. This was the keeper,” shared Dimitris.

As a street photographer, Dimitris is faced with various challenges. We asked what was his biggest one and how he managed to navigate through it. “The biggest challenge is to act fast if needed. It is a matter of continuous practice, I think,” wrote the photographer.

We also were curious to know who had the biggest influence on Dimitris regarding his photography. He responded: “Nicos Economopoulos. I learned a lot by studying his photos, about framing, composition, and storytelling.”

Regarding photo editing, Dimitris shared his take on the topic: “I usually do a very basic edit of my photos in Lightroom so that they will look a little sharper. I could also crop if needed.”

The photographer shared what he would like for people to take away from his work: “I would like to talk to senses and the mind of the viewer.”

And lastly, Dimitris added: “Grab a camera and start taking photos if you do not already!”
