But sometimes shadows get tired of living in, well, our shadows, and so they decide to forge their own identity by taking on secret lives of their own. Check out the list below to see what we mean. You really have to unfocus your eyes to see it. Part of the face is not in shadow, so the light part becomes the right side of the face. The edges of the shadow falls at the midline of the face. It's rather uncanny when you see it.

No. 20 is not a shadow - it's a projection of what's actually outside. It's called the camera obscura effect. If the cars outside were more brightly coloured you would be able to see the colours too. So cool, isn't it?
