The way the light bends around the contours of her face makes this one for me.
I can't even imagine how much money this was or how much time went into it. It's amazing and worth it though.
Quang Phạm is a 40-year-old tattoo artist from Vietnam. When asked why he does these types of tattoos, here's what he said: "Tattoos tell a story. They represent moments in your life. They can rekindle memories, grant loved ones eternal life, or simply make you smile whenever you look at them. When people come in to get a tattoo of their loved one it always makes me smile. Maybe that's why I'm so dedicated to my job."
Finally, a tattoo of a baby’s face that doesn’t look like a demon trapped in the skin!
I'm obsessed with tattoo art and I've gotta say, this is one of the best portraits I've seen. Coloring, line work, shading, heavy blacks in the shirt, eyes and inside of the mouth....it's all perfect. This guy probably paid a lot for this high quality but so worth it. If you're going to get a portrait you really need to go to the right person and be willing to pay.
Okay I take that back - this thread is full of this guy's work and they're all as amazing as this one!
Load More Replies...Not only does this guy capture the actual image. But he accentuates the life like qualities of the photo to make it look even better!
It takes a special artist to be able to tattoo faces that wonderful
When it comes to choosing his profession, perhaps the artist always knew what he wanted to do, given how his childhood turned out. "I've liked tattoos... ever since I was a child. The history of them is very interesting and fascinating to me. Why you might think? Well think about it, they date back pretty much as far as humans do, isn't that in itself pretty amazing?"
Weird artistic decision on the placement of her nipple but other than that, this is pretty much perfect.
Her nipple doesn't appear. His does, but I don't think the artist put it there. That's just where it grew.
Load More Replies...It's a beautiful tattoo and I would certainly be happy with it, but the line work is a little shaky. around the neck area and her mouth in particular. The blue shading there is a little strange. But the attention to detail in her eyes and the feathers really saves it. I love white in tattoos but it tends to turn yellow within about a year when it's done lightly like this.
Before the artist even started working on his craft, he was always fascinated by seeing tattoos on other people too.
"I find tattoos to be simply beautiful. I enjoyed seeing costly tattoos that were intricate works of art on people and stick and poke designs that people themselves created when they were teenagers. Even faded and jumbled tattoos on older people are cool to me because they tell a little bit of a story, and if you question them about the tattoo, they generally have an interesting story to go along with it. Stuff like that is what caught my attention..."
I absolutely LOVE the red around it, it's the perfect shade and everything
I love wolf headdress tats but I actually don't like this one. The placement of the headdress doesn't make sense for the angle of her body. It's a little lopsided. The right eye has a wider lower lash line than the left. Also, the wolf's teeth have an undershadow that makes it look like it's not touching the fur. It's not a bad tattoo but I'm a tattoo snob, lol. I've seen better ones.
Once again, love the background of the tattoo! The blue looks like paint strokes!
I wonder if the same artist is doing the portraits because the work all looks to be the same. Amazingly detailed and lifelike. A true artist.
Taking all of that into consideration, perhaps in some cases, especially for the clients of Quang, the best way to express the everlasting nature of love is with a tattoo that honors their loved ones. However, with that being said, before getting tattooed, please make sure you are ready to have something permanent on your skin. Unless you have complete faith in an artist's artistic ability, consider twice before getting a tattoo from them; even then, proceed with caution.
So, you're having some alone time with your loved one and you've got these two laughing at you #theshining
The realistic look is just stunning. This artist is serious. I don't generally like hyper realistic paintings. (You could just take a photo) but tattoos that are hyper realistic are just AMAZING! Especially, when they are portraits.
That nipple looks like it belongs to the little guy lol. Beautiful tattoo though!
Never mind the baby, the lion king photo in the background!! I want it sooo bad :(
I would too if it was from the og one not the 2019 remake
Load More Replies...Is the location of the tat the artist idea? Because all the children are above the breast.
It's larger on the one side, we have a genetically obscure family history... No response Necessary
Those super fine details with the "stray" hairs are amazing. Most artists wouldn't or couldn't take that step.
After seeing so many horrible tattoos of kids, girlfriends, famous people etc,, looking at these are a pleasure.
@kcanded, here’s a video of his process. He’s actually just that good! https://www.instagram.com/p/CfeUXNUpeMx/
The nipple sticking out of his neck reminds me of the bolts that Frankenstein's monster has.
Aww you can see the joy in this little guys face! The artist is T👏A👏L👏E👏N👏T👏E👏D
I think it's still very fresh. It should calm down once healed.
Load More Replies...Yeah, seems like there are better places to put a portrait tattoo.
Load More Replies...Seems a rather, uhm.. I feel this beautiful portrait should have been placed somewhere a little less awkward?
Very odd nipple placement again… shouldn’t an artist of this caliber be aware of what happens regarding the placement of the client’s nipple?
When getting a memorial tattoo of a loved one that passes away, you get it on your chest… by your heart…

Load More Replies...It would feel a little... odd...in certain situations, lol, seeing faces staring back at you.. I get the sentimental aspect on some of these, but it would be a little jarring, and a bit of a mood killer, to me at least, lol.
It probably holds sentimental value to them. If this is how they keep their memory alive, then so be it
Load More Replies...Very talented artist!! That right eye is looking to see what the left eye is doing, though
I'm going to get a picture of a good-looking guy and have him tattoo it on my face.
I can't imagine how "that magic hour" could be more uncomfortable, like your kid opening the door at the wrong time... but his work is awesome...
Exactly my thinking. I told my husband I could never look at him *that way* again if he had our kids on his chest.
Load More Replies...What is the obsession with putting a picture of a child over your boob??? There are plenty of other body parts.... arm, back, shoulder, leg.... but no, let's put the picture on my nipple.
I think it's because it's right over the heart. Not my personal choice-and I have lots of tattoos, so deff not a judgment thing. To each their own.
Load More Replies...The tatoos are amazing but I still wonder why would anyone want to wear them. Is it like being a life Facebook wall? Yeah, so you have a kid, so do 70% of the people on this planet. And yet another thing- how will the kids feel about it when they grow?
Yeah, but to me, my kids are more special than any other kids on this planet. Just like my tattoos are important to me and not to you. I wouldn't want my kid's face tattooed on me
Load More Replies...Here’s a video of him doing the work. He’s legit! 💕 https://www.instagram.com/p/CfeUXNUpeMx/
