Photographer Helps Women Get Rid Of Insecurities By Photographing Them Like Celebrities (29 Pics)
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" is an accurate quote by Margaret Wolfe Hungerford. Everyone views beauty differently: some find it in nature, some in the busy streets of cities. It especially varies when we're talking about the beauty of people.
Sadly, sometimes people feel insecure in their own bodies. Maybe it's because of some body issues—scars, age. There are many factors that can bring our confidence down. Then we can't let our inner beauty shine through.
Emily London is a photographer with the goal of getting rid of any insecurities women have and making them feel like the queens they are. She helps women feel confident in their own skin by giving them incredible makeovers and then capturing their portraits. The women get transformed into models and Hollywood divas that could easily be on the most popular magazine covers or movie screens.

I like that they didn't photoshop her face to look 20 years younger. Beautifully mature woman!
They also gave her really nice makeup. It’s not all Instagram-style with magic marker eyebrows.
Load More Replies...She's a pretty lady in the before photo, too. I hope her, and the other ladies, don't rely on make-up and clothes to find confidence in themselves. These before shots not flattering, I admit, but a comb, a comfortable blouse and a smile is all they need. Society is dictating how they expect women to look. So when the makeup comes off, do they lose their confidence? I pray not.
A lot of home work until you see the result then YOU are the inspiration. Thanks!
This is some more information about Emily from her website: "I know what beautiful looks like. I can see yours. I know how to bring it forward, and how to capture it with my camera. I also know what it's like to be a woman who struggles to see her own beauty. That's why I've made it my mission to create the most beautiful portraits you have ever had. I want to show you how beautiful you are; to help you reconnect with the woman you see in your portraits, and be awed by her again." Emily is based in Salt Lake City. She has two children and a German shepherd. Her hobbies include playing the ukulele.
I've always loved the natural hair on African American women.

Though none of these women are ugly, I couldn't help but remember that 'before and after' picture that made the rounds some years ago. It was called 'There are no ugly women, only poor.'. It featured women who'd gotten makeovers that spared no expense. The differences were stunning.
Yikes that did not work. The greasy look is almost better than turning her into Toad from the mario brothers
Many women have been made over by Emily. Here are some testimonials from them found on Emily's website: "Using these elegant photos for marketing has catapulted my business and brand. Emily will deliver, then exceed, the look, style, and feel you are after. Her work is incredibly beautiful, and it reflects her heart and skill. My photo sessions with Emily will forever be some of my most treasured days." - Rachel
"Treated like a Queen, nurtured, and bathed in love. This portrait taken by the magnificent Emily London envelops the feeling of my life, breathing light into what once was, what is, and what will be." - Carita
"Emily London has the ability to bring your inner beauty out into a photo and capture the beautiful goddess that is meant to be seen." - Annette
"Emily made me feel like the confident, beautiful, graceful, romantic women that I see in magazines. I wish every woman that I know could have that experience. They’ll come back to their family a changed woman." - Wendy
"What Emily creates is simply breathtaking. She made me feel like a princess when I had my shoot, and I can't express enough the love and talent Emily gives to every woman she works with. The pictures Emily did for me will be cherished for a lifetime." - Sandy
"I approached the day of my session with trepidation, always disliking to have my photo taken. Emily is so caring and attuned to her clients. She instantly transformed my anxiety into excitement. The day turned into a luxurious and joyful adventure. I left the studio feeling exhilarated and rejuvenated. Happy at last, someone was able to capture that essence in me I wanted the world to see." - Ronnee
Seriously stunning! She looks so fun, Iike the best friend everyone wants!
As you can see, the women that worked with Emily are all very happy and have had their confidence boosted. This project has brought a lot of happiness to these ladies and the result is a lot of smiles.
What do you think of these transformations? Tell us in the comments and don't forget to send love to Emily for all her amazing work!
Just read the 'testimonial' above this ladys' photos, from a "Wendy" saying women will go back to their families "a changed woman". This is sad, really. No woman ( or man for that matter ) should be judged by their looks. To be taught to believe that the only way to 'feel good about yourself' is from wearing a ton of makeup, frilly/glittery clothing, hair-spray stiff hair, is not what we should be teaching our children. Young girls need to learn early that they are perfect just the way they are.
I agree but sometimes a person can be so discouraged that something like this will lift them up, make them smile and see themselves as they really are gorgeous inside and out.
Load More Replies...Yes the first one was me rolling out of bed in the morning, as I knew I was going to have my hair done.. why do it myself!
Load More Replies...I am the woman in the photo, I am not Wendy. My name is Leta The "fat" is still there it all about moving the chin out and camera angles.
Load More Replies...Especially since the 1st picture is what I look like after rolling out of bed. I am the woman in these photos.
Load More Replies...i dont get how she has a completely different chin and no second chin. Photoshop?
Camera angles and posing. I still have the sexy chin depicted in the first photo, but for my headshots I go for a more subtle sexy. Can't let everyone see your curves ya know.
Load More Replies...I am 47 and am super hot. ahaha I am the woman in these pictures.
Load More Replies...This is downright spectacular. Such a tiny change but such a HUGE difference
I am the woman in the pictures-- the first image is me fresh out of bed. Posing, camera angles, some makeup and hair make everyone look better.
Load More Replies...I think she is much prettier without makeup. Perhaps it is the smile.
Housewife turned Sparrow, this is absolutely magnificent. Why would someone with such mazing ink dress like a frumpy minivan hausfrau??
That middle picture she looks absolutely stunning...she's pretty irrelevant but that middle one 👌😍
Wow! She is absolutely gorgeous! Hard to imagine even lookers like that feel insecure.
I decided to quit coloring my hair and go gray, after seeing this, I can hardly wait!
I keep contemplating it. My Mom had that gorgeous silvery gray color, so I’m hoping I get blessed with that when I do decide to go gray. I’ve got her hair, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. LOL
Load More Replies...This is starting to feel like an eye makeup awareness campaign. I do love er skin even if its a bit dark for my taste, but the eye makeup takes thirty years off her!!
Naturally beautiful with such soft features and the sexy slightly pursed lips 😍
its not the clothing but the posture.she lost 20 kg....not so funny when you go on a date and see who is actually coming....
Load More Replies...I think she's the most most stunning and prettiest of all of them
Load More Replies...D**N! Best one so far, and they are all great so that’s a statement and then some
i think they gave her the wrong makeup on her eyes , up not down !
Another Tolkienesque elven fantasy, absolutely breathtaking creature
After is stunning but the first one is just gorgeous! Her smile makes her face light up! I also love women in flannel tops! :)
beautiful the third one is amazing actually all of them are amazing
This might be my favourite one. She's clearly a fun playful woman. but in the pictures she really pulls off the pinup look from the bombers in my youth
but it is her smile that is captivating... that really draws you in!
Third picture is terrible. She looks like her head grows straight from her shoulders, and like she has a super-short torso, and loooong hands. Really bad angle & body positioning.
Some people can rock the Karen style and you can (it’s good, Karen’s can’t rock the style ;p.)
Anyone can rock the "Karen style" in their own way.YOU can't decide who can and can't.....
Load More Replies...She kinda looks like Tom Hanks in that first picture (not in a bad way! she looks lovable and sweet with that adorable, warm smile :) )
To convey the statement she was trying to make, apparently yes it was. If you’re not a fan continue on, no need to throw shade at someone for enjoying a new look to the fullest.
Load More Replies...I love how the hid her ears, I have ears like hers and I am always trying to hide mine. I love her in the third photo.
Sweet smile is lost in the 'after' pic.s..... but the glamour is up !
On the contrary, the hair in the 2nd and 3rd pictures softens her face. Love it!
Load More Replies...I don't think so. They are just posing for a glamour shot.
Load More Replies...I thought that you were twins at first. Yes, unnatural second photo, but gorgeous in both.
See this is why people should stay out of the sun. Daughter's skin is sooooo much more radiant. Mother looks as tho she's just in from yardwork, whereas daughter would look entirely at home as first chair.
Less exaggerated eyebrows would look prettier, IMO, otherwise she looks great.
Holy c**p it's Katy Perry with a B cup! Mind, she does look a lot more happy and centered without the makeover
She sure looks a lot like Katy Perry to me as well !
Load More Replies...The hair looks so unnatural, not attractive to my mind, but as long as she like it... She's very pretty in the before and after pictures.
Yes, they both are. It may be a mother and daughter and they had a together shot as well as individual shots.
Load More Replies...Thank you, I knew she looked like someone but I couldn’t think who it was.
Load More Replies...Wow! Beautiful work! I can not chose who looks better. Everybody look Great and I am sure this can change a life for the better for some of you too.
It's such a pity she's done that to her skin, but the makeup hides a lot of it, despite the jessica rabbit eye job
These makeovers just accentuate the loveliness they already have . . . nothing wrong in that !
So does this mean make-up equals confidence? Can women learn to be confident without wearing a ton of makeup? What are we teaching young, impressionable girls by this? These women are all equally pretty without the makeup. And their actions, who they are, what they do in life, how they treat others, and themselves, is so much more important than glamming it up. Clothes do not make the woman.

Load More Replies...Oh. My. Stars. That HAIR! That Skin! She looks .ike a mermaid on land!!
I have heard that there are no unattractive females-just those who do not know how to apply makeup. This article proves that.
LADIES YOU ARE QUEENS WITH AND WITHOUT MAKEUP. YOU ARE ALL SO AMAZING AND STUNNING EVEN IF YOU DON'T ALWAYS FEEL LIKE IT
The makeovers are great and I hope they are all inspired to try a new look...but the excessive airbrushing is really unnecessary. Does that really make people feel better when their skin has been completely washed away for a post-worthy picture?
I think it is just to achieve the final movie star look. Movie star photos are also heavily photoshopped.
Load More Replies...Most of them look so much happier and more comfortable in their before pictures.
Man we live in a hopeless time. NONE of those women "should" have insecurities! They were are beautiful before
"Photographing Them Like Celebrities" isn't that one of the major reasons some even develop insecurities?
It always concerns me that even women who are really beautiful don't see themselves as such. It always takes tons of make-up and hairspray plus heavily editing to make us feel good enough. Interestingly I don't know many men who would prefer the ladies in the right pictures. So everybody, wear your smile, it's what makes you most beautiful.
It tends to be women that drive these unachievable standards as well. Most men don't care for these over the top looks. But it doesn't look like it's getting better, it seems like it's getting worse, especially with Instagram and other social sites driving girls to chase these looks.
Load More Replies...While it can be good to make you feel better about yourself l think it is almost cruel to dangle this in front of people cause the reality is they aren't always going to look like that again.
It's amazing how much better people look and feel when they're confident in themselves and their bodies. Some people try to bring you down by commenting on your body type, looks, how much makeup you put, etc. But the key is always loving yourself and knowing that you are perfectly good as how you are. Don't try to change who you are for others. These women look great in the before and after pictures! <3
Some of the women in the after photos don't look like themselves. They look like a instagram filtered image. Remember Glamour Shots? They'd doll you up for the photos, but not this far! At least you still looked like yourself.
Teaching young girls that they "need make-up" to be pretty is terrible. Beauty is from within. For men and women. It's fine that these ladies wanted to glam it up for a photo-shoot, but am skeptical that any one of them felt more confident from doing so. The make-up and flashy clothes come off at the end of the day. I pray we teach our children better than this.
