There are two ways of approaching the fact that you look a lot like a celebrity. One is to ruthlessly break it to people that, unfortunately, they are mistaken, you aren't Tom Cruise or Jake Gyllenhaal, and that they shouldn't look for their phone so they could snap a pic with you. That's the disappointment approach. The other way of dealing with it is embracing your looks and just going along with the person that walks up to you with an enamored expression on their face and starts spilling compliments about your work. That's the one that's a little more fun.
The people listed below (some of them - actual celebrities) went for the latter and that way made the day of many people, who thought they met their heroes. Scroll down below to see whether you would be confused by these lookalikes as well!

I Spent An Hour Convincing My Friend (Kick Ass) That We Did Not Meet Johnny Depp
Dude is at a costume party, meets someone dressed like Johnny Depp and thinks it's the real Depp.... ?
Whoever he is, he certainly went out of his way to look like Johnny Depp.
That guy is fully trying to pass himself off. He looks like the type who acts like, "what? Oh you think I look like who? Really? Seriously? Ha ha, how funny! I never thought of that!" Meanwhile when he's at home he's studying every movie and photo of the guy he can get his hands on.
Considering the fact that the other guy is dressed like Kick A*s, I would say this is probably a halloween party or something similar, and he did the Depp costume for fun.

No it means you have a life. Hehe. Or have no life and no interest in tv or music. I didn't know the people's names, but I was able to guess they were teen idols, rap artist or in the NBA players case, A basketball star. That man was TALL!
Load More Replies...I'm the opposite. I live in Los Angeles and used to work at a popular beauty store in the mall that celebs would frequent. The amount of times I would help a celebrity with out knowing it, just to have a coworker tell me who they were after, was alarmingly high lol
This would totally be me! I'm so bad with faces and I don't really give a damn if someone's famous or not, that I'd be helping people out without a second glance.
Load More Replies...Seems like sometimes these mistaken identity "celebrities" are nicer to people than perhaps the real ones might be. I remember in pre-selfie days, meeting a very famous footballer of the time in a local bar when he tapped me on the shoulder to borrow a pen to give an autograph to a fan. I asked if i could have one myself and he said "no". Never even got my pen back.
It's pretty funny the running theme in most of the pictures is, "i was drunk and ran in to a celeb." Lol
Do you think it ever happens that two people both think the other one is someone famous, and happily take selfies together? That would be funny.
I would assume most of them are just funny posts for their social media profiles if a similiar thing didn't happen to me 3 years ago. Walking down the street I ran into some (sober) guy in his fifties who mistook me for some semi-famous local singer. And the more I was trying to explain to him I'm not that guy, the more he was like "Oh, of course you are. I watched you perform on TV a few days ago.". Certain
We didn't take a selfie, but it certainly made my day (damn, fix this BP app).
Load More Replies...The funny thing is that the people who arent the celebs agree to take the photo anyways lol
These people mistake them for celebrities'. Mean while I would make the mistake of not even knowing my favorite celebrity. I just walk on by even if it's the real person lol.
