People Are Cracking Up At These 30 Funniest “Proof Of Delivery” Pics Shared By People Online
Being able to order various things online and get them delivered helps to save a lot of time. Especially being able to order some good food after a long and hard day. During the pandemic, getting things and food this way became even more convenient as people didn’t have to go anywhere and encounter others. Because of this, delivery services presented another clever solution - no-contact delivery. It was followed by a requirement by many delivery companies to take a picture of the delivery once it was brought next to a customer’s place.
This necessary step accidentally inspired a thread where people started sharing hilarious pictures taken by drivers of them picking up their delivery.
Which one of these do you find the most hilarious? Have you ever had your picture taken by a food delivery driver? Don’t forget to leave your thoughts in the comments down below!

Omggg I Can’t Believe Door Dash Uploaded This Photo Of Me Getting My Food
If you’re curious to find out why it is necessary for drivers to take pictures once they are about to deliver you the food, there are two reasons for that. First of all, they need to confirm it with you that they delivered the food to the right place and the right person. Sometimes food gets delivered when no one is home, or when trying to avoid contact with another person. This is also really helpful when a customer claims that they didn’t get their delivery or if the delivery was ruined or missing something.

I Ordered Instacart Like A Year And A Half Ago And The Driver Got Me Looking Like An Absolute Goblin
Knowing that we live in a world where a lot of information about us is stored, one might ask whether it is okay to take someone’s picture without permission. Users of Reddit had a whole discussion about this when a user @warwm asked others online: “Do delivery guys have to take a pic of the customer grabbing the food?”. The user found this quite unusual, so a lot of people started sharing their own experience as customers and those who deliver the food.

This Surprised Me When I Delivered The Order Lol
It was mentioned that even when a delivery person takes someone’s picture, they usually do it by accident when a person suddenly opens the door or is even already waiting for the delivery. It was also stated that in a case when you are in the shot, this picture is not saved in the phone but rather is just in the app, sent to the customer, so they would know that their food was brought to the right person.
Some people working in this industry revealed that they sometimes don’t take the picture as proof if they bring the delivery straight into the person’s arms or see how they take it. Some users find it risky as you never know if that was the right person or if later they won’t blame you for not delivering their food.

I don't really get this. The picture isn't proof that your food was delivered in most of these. It proves that for a moment it was at your door. After that picture is taken the dasher could just take to food with them, or they leave it and someone else comes along and grabs it, or an animal.... It's like when Amazon leaves a package at an apartment door. I walk by about three a week in my hallway and I think "I could take that or that or that...".
Yeah these photos are kind of pointless except when you are on the photo! I think the best solution is to do what they do in any other country! They give you your package on your hands and that's it
Load More Replies...I am so confused, how is this supposed to be funny? The ones with cats are cute but idk
Prob funny/embarassing for the people in them because they are caught unexpectedly on camera and usually in loungewear, no make up looking disheveled...relatable if its happened to you perhaps? Animals are always funnier than people!
Load More Replies...These are not that interesting, it's just random people receiving food.
I happened to walk up to my place as an Amazon driver was dropping off a package. I went to pick it up as I greeted him and he told me to wait, he had to send a pic to prove delivery. I asked if he'd like me to pose with it and he laughed as he snapped the shot without me. Now I'm a little lowkey sad.
Cheap. Convenient. Easy decision when you don't care to decide on a list of fast food places. McDonald's is so deeply rooted that it's pretty much the default option when you kind of don't care. Lazy option, I guess? Very detailed reply for no reason lol
Load More Replies...I have never had food delivered. It is all very well taking photos, but what if it is the wrong address? I recently had food delivered and left outside my house meant for the house across the road. Without the number of the house in shot, the photo doesn't mean much other than it was left in some random location.
This is exactly why I peek out of a bedroom window until I see the car drive away before retrieving my food. Of course, I also do this to avoid neighbors, so maybe it's just me.
Haha okay so, I don't know about other delivery apps but I know Doordash does have an option to press if the order is handed to the customer so they don't have to take a photo like most in this article. I only did this once, on my very first order, before I knew about the second button.
I am convinced that these dogs, cats and geese are the ones making the orders
I received a parcel recently and the delivery guy took a photo of me with the parcel. However he told me he wouldn't capture my face, then he showed me the photo (just captured my torso) and asked if I was ok with it. I guess he was a very considerate delivery person! It's the only time I've ever had a photo taken of a delivery!
I have no problems if the proof of delivery driver catches me. It shows they let me know it was here so it stays as warm as possible before worrying about the legality part of proving they did it. Unsurprisingly, there seems to be a strong correlation to the quality of my delivery. Make sure you tip and give positive reviews to the delivery person and you end up in more photos.
