Oh my word. There's a house like that near my daughter's home. Do you live near Fredericksburg, VA or has this become stereotypical for Trumpettes to decorate their yards this way? Gives me the creeps whenever I drive by.

I am in Fl. We have a huge contingent of trumpanzees. The decorate their houses, cars and pick up trucks like this. I think it's ironic that these "patriots"/s are so proud to fly the confederate flag... the flag of a defeated enemy combatant.

When my former MIL showed me stacks of Confederate money, after she reminded me that Yankees were hanged in front of her grandfather's house, I asked her how much it was worth now that the war was over. She wasn't pleased.

agreed! One of my favorite dogs was a little thing who was surrendered because "she wouldn't eat". I have never seen a dog so emaciated, she couldn't even grow hair, and she looked like she'd just been freed from a concentration camp. They named her Desperata, because no one had ever seen a dog in such terrible condition. She was the sweetest dog! Within two days she was showing weight gain, and was finally recovered enough to be adopted by the rescue vet's cousin. The people who starved her received no punishment of any kind. In my opinion, those monsters should have been arrested while they were standing in the animal services building. Desperata-...8bd6ea.jpg

I would love to do that as well, but living where i do, I am only allowed to have one support animal. My best friend and her son are both visually impaired, say I should be a puppy raiser for guide dogs. Can't do that either, I am afraid, but love animals, period.

I have a friend who is a puppy raiser. It's too difficult for me, to raise a puppy up and then pass it along, even if I know it's going to a good and honorable life. No, I prefer to just love my old and special pups, pamper and care for them right up until they cross the rainbow bridge. 🦮🦮🦮🦮

Have you considered volunteering at a shelter near you? They always need loving people to help socialize kittens and walk dogs . . .

Did she think it came with a chip installed that would automatically make it go to the door to go out and potty or bark it out in Morse code 🤔? It was just a puppy, it had to be taught what to do, go for walks several times a day, especially after eating and drinking. Mercy, some people really don't deserve the sweet love of animals.

We used to say that it was amazing how many people think that puppies come with batteries that you can just remove if they become inconvenient.

Sadly, she already did. What struck me most about the whole mess was that the kids were completely apathetic to the dog. I would have been unconsolably hysterical if my mom had given my puppy away. On the upside, Lucille the Basset got a wonderful new home. So it was a happy ending.

I cannot fathom how a child wouldn't bond with a dog, but I am happy for the wonderful ending for the dog! Thank you for your reply!
