I raised an abandon raccoon from about 10 days old. She was an awesome pet. She insisted on sleeping in the same bed (would crawl under the blankets for a while, then sleep on the pillow on top of my head). She litter box trained herself in about 5 days. She would ride my shoulders while I vacuumed, and went to the store on a leash sometimes. She loved grapes and hunting for herring in the bathtub. Like a cross between a cat and a monkey, she was adorable and smart!

According to the team that runs the group, the subreddit is a place where anyone can share their experiences and sightings of interesting people at Walmart. Even though the subreddit is mainly focused on photos, internet users can also write text posts as well. However, these have to be descriptive.

Me too! I had twin great aunts (Neta and Reta lol) who lived out of state, they apparently had separate houses, kids and husband's. But I only ever saw them when they came to visit together, dressed exactly alike down to the last detail, and they were so small they looked like old children. Kinda freaked me out as a kid, but they were lovely women. The surviving twin (i still get their names confused) turned 100 last year.

I don't understand letting animals into a food shop - here (UK) we have guide dogs/assistant dogs, but no other animals are allowed. You may have an assistance pet, but it stays in the car (or preferably at home) No one EXPECTS to take animals in due to food hygeine laws.

the only time I have ever really seen this kind of matter is in people that couldn't move for a long time, they had to stay it meds for like dr orders or a reason, or they just got out of the hospital and haven't had a chance to fix it, I [male} had hair down to my butt when i was younger, I have brittle bones and I'm tall{at the time i was about 7'2, I'm not 7'4 so you can see how brittle bones can be at that tall} and my hair that was to my butt, was matted to my shoulders from being stuck in a bed for about 3-4 months while i was healing from surgery, i could move but i could do more then mve my head back and forth, that movement makes it mat up, and at the end, i was able t o go to stores and stuff and, it took 4 days of it looking a lil worse than this before it was able to take care of, that means school saw it, dr's saw it, stores saw it, and no one bothered me {mainly cause I'm tall and scary and my hair was messedlol} But the point was.... There is normally a reason

As a wheelchair user, the amount of people who sayll they'll pray for me is upsetting. For context: 1.) I do not resent my disability or feel a cosmic need to be cured. Being Disabled is a huge part of my identity and it saddens me that so many people assume it is a burden I desperately want to be free from. 2.) I'm not religious and people who know me will do this and strangers will do this without asking (someone who asks if they can pray for me and doesn't do it if I say no is fine. I just explain to them that I don't feel the need for my disability to be removed) 3.) I had a former coworker seize my hand and started out loud "faith healing" me and it was the most uncomfortable experience of my life. Please DO NOT assume all disabled people view their disabilities as burdens to be lifted. DO NOT verbally pray aloud for someone without asking and if they say no, DO NOT pray for them aloud. I appreciate the kindness behind the request, but respect my choice 💛

Once had a nurse in an OR insist on praying for a patient just before surgery EVEN THOUGH HE ASKED HER NOT TO. He lodged a complaint when he got to the recovery room. She got transferred to a " not direct patient care" area of the hospital (not her first offense)

I had a lady do this to me at the vet just a couple weeks ago, without asking permission, she just grabbed my hand. I'm disabled and immune compromised. Reuters recently reported that Walmart is changing how its hourly starting wage structure works for entry-level store employees. This is done in order to reduce costs in a slowing job market.
What this essentially means is that store workers, including cashiers, personal shoppers, stockers, self-checkout helpers, and associates manning departments such as sporting goods or electronics will all receive the same hourly starting wages that are paid at the store.

My Target has all the detergent locked behind a glass cabinet. You have to ring the bell and someone comes and opens it for you. Unfortunately the people of walmart have started trying new stores. At the department store I work at, we had a gentleman who came in and walked around with a large parrot on his shoulder. We are definitely not walmart!

I think I am a person of Walmart. Aussie’s don’t always wear shoes and I took my pet rabbit into KMart because he’d been to the vet, I needed to buy him a mat and I didn’t want to leave him in the car. Next I’ll be wearing hot pants

A friend of mine made it to the "front page" (or whatever you'd call it) of POW sometime around 2008-ish for bringing his boa constrictor to a Walmart in San Diego. It still comes up in conversation even tho he passed away a few years ago. For context: there was a reptile convention going on and he didn't want to leave her in the car. I can fully understand how he ended up on the page though. Very tall guy with a huge snake around his shoulders is definitely not something you see every day.

I live in Oregon and the stores are so dull. Everyone is dressed properly. No strange things happen. The animals I see there are just dogs. It's just like any other store.
