I had something similar happen. Someone stole the decorative bricks in the base of my brother’s grave. We fixed it immediately, but I forever damn that person just for the pain and grief it caused to my already shattered parents’ lives. I hope that piece of sh*t feels the curse.

Cemetery workers may have removed it to mow. Check with the office. Although a friend’s husband worked at a cemetery and often it’s the cemetery workers themselves who do the stealing. He couldn’t stand that, he quit and found more rewarding work.o

Probably cemetery groundskeepers removed for mowing and or using weed wacker purposes. Can you imagine getting hit by that if a mower kicked it up?!

Social services offers the same type of service here in the US. The sort of people who apply for these jobs are generally not very remployable but also aren’t out right criminals. Basically since the’re willing they get the job.

I doubt there are any qualifications, anyone can just walk in and get the job as long as they aren't criminals.

To be clear, this actually happened in the Leicestershire region of the UK, in 2016, and the disability assistant pictured & this incident was investigated -- she was dismissed from her "homecare assistant" position.
