50 Memes To Remind You How Good Life Once Was, As Shared By The “Ouch, Right In The Childhood” Page (New Posts)
“The Greek word for "return" is nostos. Algos means "suffering." So nostalgia is the suffering caused by an unappeased yearning to return,” stated Milan Kundera.
The days that were and the days that will never be again sum up the joys of feeling nostalgic for something. The daily rut of getting out of bed, making coffee, working for excessive hours, socializing with people, coming home to watch Netflix, sleep and repeat, falls short of the happiness of childhood.
Those days when life seemed oh so interesting, complex, and explorative. Those days when TV actually had something good on regardless of timing or day of the week. Those days when one didn’t have to pay rent, worry about being able to afford eggs, or ponder the purpose of existence. All those feelings can be summed up in the posts by this Instagram page called “Ouch, Right In The Childhood.”
They come with a warning of having the potential to ruin your childhood, so be careful as you scroll through this list, upvoting your favorites and leaving comments in the sections below. It’ll be a good time! And if you’d like another hit of nostalgia, here’s another Bored Panda article right here. Now let’s get into it!

He also paid for all his medical care. Robin Williams was just one of the best humans ever. 😢
Still feel sad about what happened to both of these absolute legends.
I think nobody at BP is reading the comments, or they'd see that Sarah Elizabeth, or whatever the bot is calling itself today, has been reported so many times it should be banned for life. But no, still popping up on a regular basis, while I'll probably get a dire warning for this comment!
Both men were dealt a rotten hand. Each, as far as I know, were good men who deserved better. Bless them both; I miss them.
A sentimental longing or wistful affection for a period in the past. That, ladies and gentlemen, is what we call nostalgia. A craving for the way things were. An idyllic way of remembering the past. The bittersweet feeling of happiness and pain intermixing. Those times will never truly come back, but there are bits and pieces of them still present.
The page called “Ouch, Right In The Childhood” has made it their mission to keep the nostalgia train running with their witty memes. Although the page comes with a warning of the potential ruining of one’s childhood, their 142K followers seem to not mind. Started in August 2016, they’re still going strong.
Mine too! And Spaceballs! And I just re-watched the original Ghostbusters yesterday!

I think sleeping in a Lego must be as uncomfortable as stepping on one!
Load More Replies...A few years ago, I heard him call into a radio station in Toronto as a tribute to Roger Ashby, a long time DJ who was retiring. They had worked together at the station as young DJs back in the 70s. He was cheerful and funny in his tribute and seemed to have no regrets about the life he chose.
Someone sucker punched him in NYC a couple years ago. Still trying to figure out why ..
cause they were a selfish jerk. I was really PO'd when I read he was injured.
Load More Replies...Damn skippy. He looked at Hollywood and said, "Nah, this ain't it for kids." And left and for that we Stan.
Right -- he lives in the John Wick universe, which he owns. Why should he take a part in another universe where he would just be an adjunct character?
Load More Replies...I wonder who Marvel wanted him to play? (Keanu is so awesome that if - emphasis on IF - he eventually dies people will say "well, he was just too pure for this wicked world, you know")
Offhand, I'd say gambit. Would maybe depend on WHEN the rejections happened though
Load More Replies...My sisters bedroom was COVERED in Keanu Reeves posters lol he's a really cool guy if you bother to read about him
Nostalgia is one of those feelings that is universally familiar, and yet the experience of it is specific to each person. What one person feels deep feelings of longing for, another may have completely forgotten about, and vice versa. Yet in both cases, that feeling may be a result of our own thought processes, rather than an accurate representation of memory.
There is a reason that Alan R. Hirsch refers to nostalgia as a screen memory—not a true recreation of the past, but rather a combination of many different memories, all integrated together, and all negative emotions getting filtered out in the process. One can never return to this past, as it never truly existed, and the present reality, no matter how good, can never be as good as an ideal.
My old man got me into Monty python when I was about 5yrs old back in the 80s. When my sister had a kid when I was about 15yrs he used to watch live at the Hollywood bowl with me. One day he got caught singing the lumberjack song on the toilet at preschool😂🤣😂 He also did a pretty good silly walk and a solid rendition of "how sweet to be an idiot" hahaha
I made my kid watch Holy Grail at about the same age. also And Now For Something Completely Different. I waited until he was 11 to screen Life of Brian.
Load More Replies...The movie's budget was $400,000 in the 1970s, about $2,200,000 today, so a retake might have strained the budget unnecessarily. Tim is funny enough.
Even not knowing what the long complicated name was, I'd argue that Tim is funnier. There's already the part where the Knights of Ni change their name to the Knights who say Ekky-ekky-ekky-ekky-z'Bang, zoom-Boing, z'nourrrwringnmmm. Having the enchanter's name shortened to the monosyllabic common name, Tim, is perfect
Load More Replies...I let my kids watch Monty Python, and they're huge fans now. A couple of years ago, they decided to be King Arthur and his knights for Halloween, and made me walk behind them clacking a coconut. 🥥🥥
I always smile when I remember this great, wonderful, kind, and very funny man! RIP Robin, you were always a treasure!🥰😁😢❤️
He was. I taught in a private religious school in San Francisco. His housekeeper's daughter was in my Kindergarten class one year. I never met him, but she also came to our school and did some of the janitorial work when the regular janitor was out. We would talk when she is my room, and she'd tell me stories about what he was like. He paid for all three of her kids to go to school in that system, all the way through high school, as far as I know....on top of her salary. The man was a prince. Huge loss.
Load More Replies...Can't believe he's almost been gone for 10 years. Still doesn't sound real.
He's always remembered for his comedy but for me his very best work was as a straight actor. Dead Poets Society, One Hour Photo, Insomnia...great things.
I grew up with this incredibly talented gentleman. I will forever miss him. I am very sorry for your loss but I’m happy you found these amazing memories to share with us. 😭😭👍👍
Just seeing his face makes me smile! I remember growing up watching Mork & Mindy.
The nostalgic urge to recreate the past within the present in many ways explains the choices we decide to make. Marrying spouses with characteristics reminiscent of those of our parents, painting walls the same colors we had in our childhood bedrooms, sleeping with a stuffed toy, building a diet with the foods that we grew up with, etc.
As Dr. Hal McDonald states, we are, after all, the leading actors in the memories that we classify as nostalgic, so some reflection on the type of role we play in those memories is necessary for determining how important or meaningful those past experiences are to the present in which we remember and embody them.
I can't remember ever thinking I wished we had internet. I can't remember being bored either.
IMO life was better before smart phones. Not everyone will agree.
Load More Replies...Yeah, my brother and I could disappear for days at a time. We used to stop in at the house to "sh*t, shower and shave" and then poof we were gone again.
How can a kid wish for internet when it wasn't even a thing at the time? No one sat at home a hundred years ago and sighed, "Gee it's gonna be so boring until they invent television"
The internet was definitely a huge thing for most of the 90s. The OP is wrong from the start. We had way cooler chat rooms and websites in the 90s than we have today.
Load More Replies...If I stayed in the house during the 90s I got into trouble or I was sick. We didn't need the internet we just went outside and did s**t. We would go out and see what was happening and get up to all sorts of stuff. I miss not having a phone attached to me all the time. I miss live music. I miss having a beer at the pub. We we're Kings!
Yes, I miss turning up more than one minute late, and NOT being phoned by your friends, demanding to know where you are!
Load More Replies...I can remember my dad wishing we didn't! we had it a week before he upgraded to broadband when he realised we weren't getting any phone calls.
Imagine playing outside and riding your bike and not being glued to your phone for hours and everyone knew where we were at cuz all of our bikes and toys were in front of our friend's house down the street. Imagine earning $25/week to deliver the AM newspaper and then splitting that with your sister and still thinking we was rich... at age 12+9. Imagine playing duck, duck goose, red rover red rover and hide and seek for hours, climbing the trees and seeing who could climb the highest without busting your a$$. Imagine hanging out at the pool with your friends without parental supervision because we were actually at the pool frying our skin with baby oil for a tan and spraying lemon water for cool blond highlights lol. Imagine doing homework together with the neighbors and wrapping our books with paper bags from the grocery store and then drawing+doodling all over them to see who's looked the coolest. Nahhh papa, my teenage hood was all good. So glad I got to experience the 80's+90's!
To be fair, we also used to spend an unreasonable amount of time in front of the TV screen, though.
I agree! I love both. I'm going to try to find this episode.
Load More Replies...At one of Johnny's concerts, he impulsively picked a little girl from the audience and sat her in his lap. The photo of the two of them was on his album cover. The little girl ended up being my co-worker. She even had the picture.
Loved this episode!! Johnny Cash in Elton clothes! Still makes me laugh and smile!!
Load More Replies...Elton looks really cool and Jonny looks like he’s spent too long backstage with the muppets
Or spent a day dressed as Phyllis Diller!
Load More Replies...Never knew of this but that's pretty good sport on Johnny Cash's part considering his core audience was likely a lot more interested in pickup trucks and rodeos than fabulous balls.
There’s nothing wrong with fabulous balls, or balls held for charity. But it’s best when balls are held for fun.
Load More Replies...Never would have guessed that wasn't one of Elton John's looks. There's not much he can't pull off.
I've only seen politicians in airports, and only old rich white male Republican parrots of other politicians, so I guess it's safe to say that I've never gotten a $100 bill in an airport before.

Load More Replies...Although we think of nostalgia as something that one is fond of, a positive thing in general, back in 1688 Swiss physician Johannes Hofer defined it as a neurological illness. It wasn’t until the 19th century that things started to shift. According to VeryWellMind, another Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung saw nostalgia as a way of reconnecting with our past and understanding our present.
Studies have shown that nostalgia can have positive effects on mental and physical health. For example, nostalgia has been shown to boost immune function and reduce stress levels, and can also help to increase life satisfaction and reduce anxiety. But, of course, everything has to be taken in moderation, as nostalgia can lead to a sense of loneliness and isolation and make us less likely to take action in the present.
Awesome line from an awesome film. LOVE Ripley!!
Load More Replies...Yes, just a simple woman lost in deep space, alone to face a deathly beast, and she makes it. And she has a cat to support her, for the final touch of ultimate badassery.
Ripley had to deal with a far tougher foe. Xenomorphs are super fast with a hive mind and their acid can eat through anything, including Terminator endoskeletons. :D
Load More Replies...Nope For me, it instantly brought back that amazing feeling from my childhood.

No time fo love, Dactah Jones! - my favourite line from that otherwise ridiculous movie
Load More Replies...Everything, everywhere all at once was a legit trip and anyone who can should watch it. Me and my bf were in tears in the theater and so was the guy next to me.
Until this film, I never thought 2 rocks on a cliff could make me cry. It's a shame my mother can't cope with surrealism, because I would love for her to understand this film with me. (She doesn't like "weird" stuff and can't see past it to the story)
Load More Replies...Willie: "why do you call him Short Round?" Indy: "because he is" - best line in that movie :)
I still recognize Temple of Doom as the worst movie ever made, but Short Round was quite a redeeming factor.
Temple of Doom? The worst? Obviously you never saw the one about the crystal skulls.
Load More Replies...Ke needs a cameo in Indy 5, just to show us that Short Round is still okay.
There are a few things you can do to avoid the negative effects of nostalgia. As advised by VeryWellMind, one should aim to ground themselves in the present moment. What are you doing right now that you enjoy? Also, make an effort to connect with others, spend time with people you care about, and talk to them about your positive memories.
Furthermore, do things that make you happy. Listen to music, go for walks, watch your favorite movie. If you’re feeling particularly down or drifting more and more into the past, it would be a good idea to speak to a therapist about it all, as they can help you make sense of things. Most importantly, be mindful of how much time you spend dwelling on the past.
Boomers: I had to go to school in 10 ft of snow walking uphill both ways barefoot Kids now: I have to go to school dodging bullets and not knowing if I'm going home alive thanks to you
You got a valid point. I'm sorry I made a similar reference about my dad. Nobody had to dodge bullets. In class you got in trouble for chewing gum & passing notes.
Load More Replies...Before online schooling a snow day was often not a freebie, just a delay. Nice now but sucked later when the start of summer vacation was delayed. Of those two, I'd rather do a day(s) of school from home and then start summer vacation on time.
The only time I had to go to school in June was because of an Alaskan type 'snow' day. I've waited for the bus in -50F weather but school was only cancelled when the ice fog was so thick that a school super intendant almost rear ended a school bus.
Load More Replies...Nothing was more exciting then your school being called off at 6:00 that morning!
Watching the closings scrolling across the bottom of the news and waiting to see yours closed lol
Load More Replies...I went to school in San Diego County, there was no such thing as a "snow day". We had heat days though. If it was gonna reach 100 Fahrenheit by noon, we got out of school early. Although Alpine and Julian got snow sometimes so maybe they had snow days.
i lived in northern canada, never even knew snow days were a thing until i moved to the u.s.
Schools usually plan so many days off in a calendar year for snow days, does this mean they'll be let out early this summer?
I live in Oklahoma, 36 degrees and like a millimeter of snow. We got an hour off of school.🤦
I'm in Oklahoma too. 3-6 inch on for cast, half the state shut down.
Load More Replies...Oh Lord yes! My kids get a literal day off when it snows more than a couple of inches. The schools don't close, apparently, but the buses don't run. Since the school year is mostly over all the winter months, this system is totally ridiculous. If they want to make sure that there's no snow for every school day, they'll need to change the school year to run from April forward.
I want a sexy Jesus tramp stamp in the same pose at Jeff. I want his loin cloth placed just so to hide his shame. He's gotta have a ripped bod too, he is the saviour after all. And I want him making a hand gun pointing towards the viewer as if to say "how you doing" and maybe the words Body of Christ above it. There is something wrong with my brain I swear
I'd like to think Jesus would approve of sexy Jesus tramp stamp.
Load More Replies...🎼 We first saw him in the Fly, but his face was grotesque. Then he won independence, from an alien mess. And in Thor Ragnorak, his performance was classic. But who could forget the hot doctor, that he played in Jurassic🎼
Well i've recently learned you need to make those markers wet before using. Lets say 30 years to late.
Really?? Wow that wouldve been good to know lol
Load More Replies...These weren't good quality, BUT they did allow us as kids to try out a bunch of different things. I don't know if I ever would have messed with wax pastels if it weren't for my cousin's set. Also we figured out pretty quickly how to pop open the backs of those markers to wet their color wicks. (Psssst adults, you can add strong alcohol instead and then they become a bit more vibrant).
i can feel the panic as i try to get the oil pastels of my hands because no one ever explained what they were or how to use them, but they were NOT crayons
I recently bought this for my kids. The quality is still s****y, but the effect is the same :)
At the end of the day, nostalgia is an experience that unites us all as people. Albeit different in each case, nostalgia motivates us to remember the past, uniting us with that authentic self and reminding us of who we have been, then comparing that to who we feel we are today. The conflict of the bitter longing for what can never be again together with the sweetness of having experienced it is what makes us all inherently human.
As you continue to scroll through this list of hilarity and painful nostalgia, make sure you’re upvoting your favorites and leaving comments along the way, and I shall hope to see you in the very next one! Have yourselves a good one!
I've always loved Poison Ivy, she was pretty much the realisation that I was very, very, gay. xP
Have an upvote to take off the downvote some butthead gave you, lol
Load More Replies...Technically correct, but we shouldn't forget how they tried to do that and what it would have meant for a lot of people.
He was trying to save his wife. Bane was cleansing the filth. Plenty of villians more noble than the hero.
Hmmm... definitely something to think about. One person's villain is another person's hero.
And we keep voting for the same type people & complaining when they do what they do because they are who they are. My definition of an idiot.
With Titanic I was 100% with team "let him on the damn door Rose". So maybe tears of frustration?
The movie just frustrated me honestly. Like how hard was it to just get on the door from the other side when it didn’t work on one side. But no, let’s just freeze him to death
It will tear you up bit it's worth it for Michael Clark Duncan's performance. He deserved that Oscar nomination.
Load More Replies...I can cry during almost any film. Real life, notsomuch. About Time is the only film I had to stop because I was sobbing so much. Call your Dad and tell them you love them.
the green mile is a movie that should be on anyone's watch and read list imo. it's heartbreaking but such a good film.
I could only ever watch it once. This movie gutted me. For days. I swear I still need therapy ❤️
He froze to death. And she was there with him the whole time. She forced herself to live bc she knew he gave his life to ensure she lived. You can watch her allowing herself to die but remembers that he sacrificed himself so she could 'go on'. She knew that's what he wanted her to do. And she fulfilled everything they said they would do together in honor of him and their love. Im not trying to be a B and I'm not trying to be all judgey about things. Just , as much as I hate to admit it, this movie hits me in the heart every time and I'm silly.
Load More Replies...What do you mean out of nowhere? That's where she left him.

My old salon manager/friend Danae went to school with Snoop and she most definitely bought her weed from him in high school. Then she married a man who became a preacher for the drug rehabilition thingie called Set Free. Danae owned her own dog grooming salon called You Heavenly Dog
But he must have used Visene, that or a talented person doing retouching.
Load More Replies...Snoop is one of the only celebs I actually really like. He's so down to earth, a family man and loyal as they come. Absolute legend

Scriptwriter: "I dreamed of writing the Great American Novel, but this is what I ended up doing instead. Oh well, might as well make the best of it and use some of my "A" material."
If you are wondering what film, it is Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams (2002)
The he went on to play God in a hilarious TV show with Daniel Radcliffe, Miracle Workers
That show is hilarious, and season 2(?) is even better, when they're on a wagon train and he plays "Benny the Teen" (instead of Billy the Kid) 😂
Load More Replies...GREAT LINE. And he was a firefighter and helped with 9/11. Wonderful human.
I don't know why but I immediately thought of Miracle workers because he plays god
And if you didn't read that in a voice an octave lower than your normal tone we cant be friends.

Load More Replies...Voiced by Larry King in the US, but when it was released over here in the UK, popular talk show host Jonathan Ross overdubbed it because no one on this side of the Pond really knew who Larry was so it was a wasted cameo. I think they did it with another character as well, but I can't think who at the moment.
Joan Rivers on the red carpet was swapped out for one of our presenters, Kate Thornton.

I never saw the end of Pulp Fiction. 2 Hr 34 minute movie. Saw it in the theater. Was before streaming or even DVDs were common. Somewhere around the 2 hour mark the film broke and we sat in the dark for a while as they tried to fix it. Finally they apologized and gave us free tickets to come back. Didn't want to sit through the first 2 hours again so never saw the rest. I guess now almost 30 years later I could watch the whole thing again.
1) it's aqua. Teal is darker and slightly greener. 2) the official colors of the 90s were aqua and fuchsia together, not just the former. I was there, Gandalf. I was there 30 years ago when the...idk how to finish this joke.
@no Name: i was about to say that. I Like teal and i Like it in combination with lilac/ purple , but that is a total different colour Combo than that in the 90es. It is more Like the colours in peacock feathers.

It still blows my mind she sings that line backwards! I thought she was just singing gibberish then someone pointed it out. It's just so clever!
She looks like every other Real Housewife type now. Like everyone just agreed to the wig / long fake lashes look and rolled with it. Or sucks to see people who were unique in the 90s just become basics.
This lady is so dope! Check out how many hits and other great songs she produced and you'll be surprised. THEN, try to unhear her voice in the background vocals of these songs
Mohammed Ali went to jail rather than serve in Vietnam, at the height of his career
I wouldn't say they were forcibly drafted or anything. Mandatory military service exists there after all. They've even said in interviews they are ready to do their duty when needed. An exception just because they're BTS would be unfair to other idols.
Load More Replies...So did a lot of stars like Clark Gable and David Niven. John Wayne got his studio to wangle a deferment for him.
Load More Replies...He didn't have it so bad. They gave him a delay to finish a movie. It was 1958 so peace time. For much of it he lived off base with family and had frequent parties at night after work. Soooo... not like they sent him off to die or anything. He even made at least one hit song during his rather short (a bit less than 2 years) active duty. So no, it was nothing like "in the middle of a war". More like chat on base of, "Hey, want to come to the party I'm throwing tonight?"
We were smack dab in the middle of the Vietnam War (1955 - 1975), so it was not peace time. As a nation we have spent a very large percentage of our existence at war with somebody or even ourselves+!!

Mythbusters did this one once. The bad guys would hear you crawling through that metal vent from a mile away. Clang clang clang. "I'm being stealthy" Clang clang clang.
Some industrial places do have large vents but it's always funny when they are shiny clean in the movies. I've been inside large vents on aircraft carrier - cleaning for one of those longer spaced maintenance items. I think it was annual but I'm guessing it had been skipped. It was an exhaust from the bakery so I'm in this huge vent duct with a metal dustpan scraping off a combination of crumbs and dust. It was surprising how much junk was in the section I had to clean.
I am too well aware. Our school got new heating and air systems, and the workmen sometimes come during the day. You can hear them stomping and clanging around in the ceiling while trying to keep the attention of students.
Look at that clean air duct, if mine were that clean they would be cleaner than my house
To hold your attention. Basic escapism, you go to escape reality because reality doesn't interest you. It's entertainment, not a documentary.

I am never going to watch cars with the same innocence again, thanks to you.
Load More Replies...There's a similar line in Doctor Who, the episode called The Doctor's Wife (Matt Smith's Doctor). The soul of the Tardis has been put into a human woman, and they're trapped in a parasite universe. Lots of other timelords had been lured to the universe, and all of their tardis are stuck in a junkyard. The Doctor thinks he can make another working tardis from the remnants and is all excited, but his Tardis isn't, and says "all of my sisters are dead and I'm looking at their corpses." Its a great episode, written by Neil Gaiman.
And he's a wrecker, so he's like what, the county coroner? The mortician? The morgue assistant?
I think the wheels at least are more like shoes than their actual feet..
If I had spare space in my dollhouse of an apartment I'd totally steal this. 😎

People wondered why I never had him change clothes, thinking he was dirty because the clothes looked the same. No mam, he changes clothes every day, they just look the same.
I was once reported to child services because my daughter wore the same clothes all the time. They didn't seem to understand that she had several sets of the same clothes and I had to take all of them to the meeting at her school with her teacher and a social worker. I never even got an apology from them

For the rest of us it is trying to kneel on a piece of wood balanced on a kitchen table, trying to saw a bit off and the wood keeps moving, you then find the cut piece is crooked and you've left a small nick in the table top. Sawdust is sticking to you and you tea/coffee has gone cold.
It’s the same with the “let’s flip this piece of furniture” as they pull out their industrial sanders in a specially modified room with the Dexter serial killer plastic everywhere, then finish it all off with their favourite Dixie Bell paint in a spray gun!
Load More Replies...Sure. After you’ve already invested tens of thousand of dollars in learning woodworking in the first place (classes cost money, and teaching yourself means wasting money on failed first attempts), acquiring all the tools, setting up your shop, and having all necessary supplies on hand. Yeah. Sure. Fifty bucks. Right.
I have thousands of dollars worth of tools. They are absolutely NOT necessary to create wonderful things, all you need to do that are a hundred dollars worth of basic hand tools. The big expensive tools don't endow you with any skills, they make the process simpler and faster, that's it. Clamps, a hand saw, plastic miter box, a drill, a super basic pocket-hole jig, glue and inexpensive construction lumber are more than enough to get someone started with painted projects. My first workbench was a concrete floor and my first assembly table was a door laid on a pair of sawhorses.
Load More Replies...My husband has thousands of dollars worth of shop equipment that he uses to make puzzles and toys to donate.
Old me is jealous of some of the modern tools I see in youtube videos. drum sanders and CNC cutters, CAD, 3D printers and so on. But I'm at a point in my life where they would just be expensive toys I would not use enough to justify purchasing. I am grateful to have a shop. I wish it had adequate lighting, insulation and a ceiling that didn't drip in many places when it rains.
Obviously not "right in the childhood", unless you're still a child, but yep. 100%. As a keen amateur photographer apparently all I need is a £8000 camera with a £4000 lens, a few £5000 lights, a professional studio room, five assistants and a super model and I too can "take glamorous photos on a budget".
Having a well-designed workshop, replete with tools, is the first step.
Building is cheap. Getting the tools to do the cheap stuff...not so cheap.
Robin's last line, chopped off here, is "How exciting!" I miss that man so much.
Something about him just felt so genuine. I of course did not know him personally but he made you feel like you did. It's sad that he did not see how much he was loved. I guess you never know what is going on in someone else's mind
Right on! "Something about him just feels so genuine". He was a good man.

You still essentially do this . You take your cellphone witch is your radio/music, you roll up your window to keep people from reaching in, and Sun shades are still a great way of keeping your car cool. And correct me if I'm wrong but if you park somewhere that needs it a club lock out is still a great way to make sure you're car is still there when you get back.
Well, at least you could take out only the frontal. I remember when people used to remove the whole thing.

I may get hated for saying this, but Im not mad at Will Smith for acting out pain for his wife. He just did it on national tv. To make a joke about his wife's medical condition is a f****d up thing to do too. That was just overshadowed by the actions of Smith
If you watch the whole clip, Will was actually laughing at Chris's joke at first, then you zoom over to Jada and she gave him that look. That's when Will decided to show his "manhood" and defend his wife's honor. It was an inappropriate joke but Will's action was just as inappropriate IMO.

I got to read. We didn't have a TV until maybe Jr. High - and it was black & white. The rule was that if you were sick enough to miss school you needed to stay in bed. To be fair, I may have faked illness more than once to try to get out of school. Mom was no dummy. A day spent doing nothing but lying in bed and either reading or doing schoolwork was worse than actually going to school - unless you were truly sick.
The reason they had to change appearance in each world was to protect the world order. People couldn’t know the existence of other worlds so for this particular world, Pride Lands, they had to change to fit in with the inhabitants of the world. A duck and a dog wouldn’t be in the savannah but a tortoise and whatever the hell Donald is (I’m assuming a bird like Zazu) would be! I’m available for more Kingdom Hearts lore if needed.
I mean, you COULD say the same thing about the human characters, too. Kinda puts it all into perspective...

But, let's be honest, Disney Villains are more true to life. That sweet kil'ol' lady can't be a villain? Oh, she was a secretary, at Belsen. That doctor, who lives on our street can't be evil, he gives full size Snickers at Halloween?! Oh, he euthanizes people he seems a burden. That college guy can't be bad, he helps out down at the animal shelter? What do you mean his Frat Bro's call him, "Mr. Roofie".

Still no annyoing commercials in every 15-20 minutes and you can choose whatever you want to watch. You can pause everything if you wanna go to the toilet. You can also stop watching it, go to sleep and continue where you left it. You don't have to remind yourself to record the stuff you are interested in if you are not at home because you can watch anything whenever you have time for it. If you liked a scene you can watch it again. So it's still not the same.
To be fair, you've been able to do that with a cable dvr box for over 20 years though. And it stinks because the whole point was we're all sick of paying so much for tv and now it all costs exactly the same as it used to. As for the no commercials thing, hope you didn't get used to that because they're coming back, too. They're guaranteeing more intrusive "ARE YOU STILL WATCHING??" click reminders as well. Different budgets, bro. A 2009 dollar was worth more than a 2022 dollar.
Sure, using 2 good CGI examples and 2 bad CGI examples says everything, of course..🙄
But at least one of those 2022 examples is a tv show. (I'm not sure about the Dr. Strange one. It could be one of the movies or a TV show.) The other two were big-budget films.
Dr. Strange's third eye was from the sequel. A high dollar MCU project. You'd think they could have done better than "realistic animation eyeball".
Load More Replies...To be fair, Disney set an all-time high benchmark with whichever Pirates of the Caribbean movie that one is (not a fan but credit where it's due). There are few movies before or after that can match that level of CGI. Practical effects mostly always look better than CGI (IMNSHO) i.e. The Thing (1982) vs The Thing (2011). Not always but mostly. Just look at blood effects and gsw effects from the original Robocop vs any modern action flick.
