Some of this parents are genuinely trying to dissuade their kids from ever again asking Santa for toys. "Are you sure you want that doll, little Mary, remember who is going to come visit you in the middle of the night to bring it to you". Mary: "No, I don't want the doll, I don't want any presents. Ever again. Please mommy!!!! No presents, I said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
