Well, i guess in short, it's the distance. Starting of anew. Finding my self. Learning to happy with who i am and not letting what people say about it to define me is the key. And finally, to learn to be forgiving on my self and eventually loving my self despite everything i am or i am not. It's hard. But it's possible. For me it worked. I hope you too will find a way out of the tunnel. You are strong and your worth it. I believe you will one day be able to fall in love with yourself. Best wishes !

Hey, 1st of all, i want to tell i know how that feels. I was once in that tunnel too. I never took any medication for my depression. Nor did i never had professional help. Not because i didn't want to. But because i was very poor. And to be honest, had i spoke about it to my parents, i might have been beaten to death. I was just 12 when it all started. But i'm not going to go into details. But in short, i was many thing but never anything good. Said my parents, grand parents, siblings, school mates, teachers, even total strangers. You see, i was literally alone against the whole world. I am dylexic and i have ADHD. I was uncontrolable therefore i was exactly how not be to. I was called many names and beaten and punished for being me. I always believed that my very existance was inacceptable. That i was destined to be me. An error in reality. I truly believed that. I had not where to run and nothing and no one to run to. How i got out of it ? Well, i made a great escape. I was 22 when i left the country and never look back. I kept my contact back home to the bare minimum. I gave my self space to start anew. To be me. It was hard at 1st because i did not speak their language. Documents and finding my place. But i was finally free to be my self. I was able to prove to my self that i was able to deal with life in my own term. All the ups and down, i faced them and i was making it. I was doubtful in my self at 1st but when after about two years of struggling, i finally was settled down. I started to believe in my self. That i can make it. That wasn't as useless and as hopeless as people been telling my whole life. I was proud of my self for the very 1st time. It was weird to be honest. When i finally realised that it had been over 24 hours since i felt the desire to self terminate. I was just doing some stuff on the computer, i was distracted by something outside. Then it hit me, i was genuinely happy. Absolude absence of self hate. And since that point on, i never fell into depression again. I was able to trust my self. To be happy. To be sad or mad without blaming or hating me self in the process.

Well, to be honest, through out those 12years i was depress, i thought so too. But here i am, 8 years without. It isn't easy, and quite frankly, it is very very insanely hard. But i assure you, some do come out the other side. I can testify. I can only wish the same to those who are suffering from depression . There is hope, just never loose it, no matter how dim.
