Three Little Sisters Recreate Oscar-Nominated Movie Scenes With Their Mom, And We Can’t Get Enough
"One family's journey through the Oscar-winning movies." This is how the author of "Don't call me Oscar" herself describes the cool photo project.
Seven years ago, Maggie Storino, a mother-of-three, received a black tutu for her baby girl and took a picture of it, inspired by the famous movie "Black Swan." The feedback on the photo idea was amazing, and that's how it all started.
With each passing year, the quality and intricacy of the photoshoots grew and now these young kids, Sophia, 7, Sadie, 5, and Sloane, 2, are real pros at channeling their movie counterparts.
Below you can find some of the amazing recreations from the past few years, including reenactments of this year's best movie nominees, such as Shape of Water, Dunkirk and Get Out. What was your favorite? Let us know in the comment section.

All those boxes! I'm not a photoshop wizard to say the very least... but the faithful recreation of background is amazing. I applauded the girls earlier, but now I'm clapping for the mom/director's skills in recreating and pulling off these snapshots and images. Awesome.

Since I can't respond directly to Douglas Campbell, I'll say it here: the stars of photos are of these people's children. They just happen to be white. Would you prefer they did blackface? Would you prefer they didn't even mention Oscar-winning movies with black actors? Geez, just shut up already!

Wow, these were so spot on, so clever, and absolutely delightful. Throughly enjoyed each one. Unlike the troll in the comments, I think these show, not only a wonderful color blindness, but a gender, age, and living blindness. Loved the dolls and stuffed animals -- that's a big part of the whimsey of the shoot.

Well done girls!! As a theatre teacher for children, I am delighted and inspired by your fantastic renditions. As for sad, sad Kemal Akannat — I’d rather think that you just can’t read rather than believe you are this stupid. These are 3 little sisters whose acting is incredible, creative and beautifully inclusive. But obviously positivity is lost on you.

Why only Oscar nominated movies? So overrated 9 out of 10 times. Do some Black Dynamite, Texas Chainsaw Massacre or Faster Pussycat Kill Kill :)

Absolutely the most fun I have seen; these children are wonderful and deserve accolades to you and children for their wonderful portrayal they did it better than the actors did.

Some of these are more than just mimicking the scene, some are beautiful stills that should be entered in a photography contest (minus the movie reference).

Read the description! They created these photo's with their OWN children. And they don't have any African(-American) children. Would be a bit hard to recreate them right? Or would you rather see them painting their children's faces into the dark color? Pretending to be that race. Guess you would not be okay with that either. So probably it will never be good to you. Just enjoy the cute pictures!!
