In year 8, some boys locked the French teacher in the resources cupboard and started passing her items under the door like she was on Big Brother. One of the boys said to her “do a task and we’ll let you out,” and slid her a glue stick and a potato. My professor stole the idea of my thesis and the entire chapter 1 to 2. He then failed me on the class so I wouldn’t be able to publish the thesis then proceeded to present the thesis in his Master’s.

MY SCHOOL HAS DRAMAAA! So basically, I was in year 6 at the time, and there was this teacher, lets just call him Mr. Dog. One day, police barged into this grade 3 class he was teaching as ARRESTED him on the stop, infront of all the kids. We later found out that the reason he was arrested and going to court was because he had been taking photos of the young kids changing and had alot of ch1ld 🌽 on his phone. Apparently he had up to 200 IMAGES! This whole thing ended up on the news and Mr. Dog had to go to court. He was originally meant to be in court with my friend’s mum, but since she had a relationship with that person, she couldn’t. I don’t know what’s happenend with him now, but all I know is that he isn’t allowed to teach anymore and MIGHT be in jail. (He should be.)

One of my teachers did that too. When the bell rang, he yelled, "Nobody move, I can't find the key!" So, we all looked for the key until he found it... in the back pocket of his jeans. The student in question was the class clown, he found it all hilarious and liked to joke that he almost didn't come out of the closet.

A child a few years ago brought a steak knife to school (blade was about 15cm, or 6 inches, long) and was threatening two little girls in his class with it. When I reported it, he told me, the department head, the deputy and the principal different stories as to why he had it at school. I think he only got a demerit. The two little Indian (ethnically; we're all South African) girls were terrified.

we had a b0mb threat at our high school every friday for 7 weeks one year. someone would call it in (always at lunch time bc eff all of us trying to eat) theyd evacuate us and bus us all home. after the third time they started sending us to the track field instead of home. as far as i know they never found out who was behind it. the running joke became asking everyone if they had their lunch bag with them bc no way were we going to get to the cafeteria on fridays

Boarding school in the 80s. We were all woken early, told to get dressed (in normal school uniform) and sent on a cross country run in the rain. As soon as we'd gone police descended on the place. Never saw the headmaster again, he got tipped off and did a runner. And that's when I understood that "büm chum" was a very literal euphemism.

That one teacher would work for a couple of weeks then she'd be on sick leave for several weeks. Rinse and repeat. The official reason was that she had depression, everyone believed it because she always sounded a bit... disconnected in class. In reality, her son was a w*ed grower and seller, she'd rather spend her days smoking on her couch than deal with students. Only the st*ners knew the truth, and they kept their mouths closed because her son would give them a discount.

I'm a teacher myself. In my current school about five months ago, two staff members got into a punch-up in a crowded canteen. Staff quickly evacuated the students while others tried in vain to break up the fight. Both are still working there.

So i grew up attending (at the time) the best public school district in the whole of the US. Very rich, very snobby town (which we were not) Mr.J well call him, was everyone's favorite teacher. He'd been teaching in the district for 35 years. He taught CAD, photoshop and computer science after school and during free periods for anyone who wanted to sign up, he ran an electronics repair club AND gaming club after school (in the late 90's no less) Amazing teacher, everyone adored him. Half way through my 8th grade year, we got a transfer student...we'll call her H. H...had been held back a year, so she was the most "developed" girl in the grade. She was also dumb as post, a compulsive liar and attained validation by being the school's "bicycle" (anyone who wanted it got a ride) So when she was in danger of failing Mr.J's class, which would have held her back again....so she made an accusation! continued.....

Except the time she claimed the incident to have taken place (during detention in his room) there were a dozen other students that....and she was not, she was with a group of other kids across town. She was never alone with him, because he was never alone with any single student...other teachers came forward detailing the inappropriate things H had said to them. Her "friends" called out her blatant BS, as did every other student. But her parents were lawyers, and loaded....threats were made and Mr.J got fired. Students were outraged, the other teachers were outraged. Students demonstrated in support of Mr.J every single day demanding he get his job back....to no avail. Until the following year when H....tried to sing the same BS again, in HS. The HS was covered with security camera's....so this time it was easy to prove she was full of $hit. Mr. J then sued the school for wrongful termination, sued the girls parents for a host of things....and walked away a multimillionaire.

I still remember my art teacher in year eight telling the guys on camp that he wanted to see “their wet, naked bodies out here now”. He might have meant it innocently, but I dropped art as soon as I could cos I was grossed out. Edit: Rather expensive private school.

A lot of these were lame. Here's my 2 HS scandals from the 80's: 1) the discovery of certain illegal plants growing around the perimeter at the field biology worksite (happened every few years up there), and 2) the jazz band was gifted recording time and use of a state-of-the-art recording studio....at the studios owned by the Scientology people. The locals lost their minds, the band didn't see a problem, and the controversy lasted years. The locals and the Scientology people were already at odds over their handling of the property they built their studios at; they'd let the golf course dry up and people with golf-course homes were suing; issues with accessing public land, etc. Anyways, it was a Really Big Deal.

A gym teacher at our high school started dating an 18 year-old cheerleader, got her pregnant and they married. Another teacher was having seggs with multiple male students and tried to get with a friend of mine. She even bought him the book "The Joy of Seggs" and wrote in it how much she wanted to try some of the things in there with him. Her husband was a city Councilman. She was arrested and fired, he resigned in disgrace.
