LOL when I worked in home care I took care of a 96 year old. I would go in in the morning and say " how are you today?" Her answer was always a snarling " how do you think I am? I woke up AGAIN!" I never really understood until I hit 65. Sigh

Aw, bet that was a fantastic laugh! I grew up on a farm and my dad would put us on the back of an old trailer, pulled by a tractor, and drive around the bumpiest fields with deep ruts in them. We would be jolted and thrown about and had to hang on for dear life! Dangerous? Yep! Fun? So much fun! We would be shrieking with laughter. If I had kids I wouldn't do it in a million years!!

Its a "had to be there moment" but during the 90s I used to watch a TV chef called "The Frugal Gourmet". I was watching one episode where he was making both Lebanese and Greek style baklava. While laying a layer of phyllo dough and happily talking about types of honey he likes to use for different recipes, he angrily put down everything and screamed at the top of his voice "YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MUCH GARLIC!!!!" into the camera. He then calmly returned to talking about honey. There is no garlic in the dish and 30 years later it still makes me laugh as my favorite non sequitur of all time.

Devided them into small packs and put into freezer, they don't have to peel garlic for the rest of year.
I chop it up and put it into an ice tray with olive oil, then freeze it. Next time I need garlic, I just pop it out of the tray and into the pan.

Jarred minced garlic is convenient and all but you’re missing out on a lot of flavour and health benefits (allicin in preminced garlic is HUGELY reduced). If you’re just looking for mild flavour, jarred is fine, but to get all the healthy oils and compounds and the best flavours, fresh always wins :)

I mean. How did they even get 102 garlic cloves. Did the go through the trouble of finding out how many cloves are in a head of garlic and then buying like 21 of them. I feel like something should have tipped them off before this happened. And how good was this recipe that they were willing to do this. And yet it happened. There is the picture, it happened.

I once had someone cook garlic chicken for dinner for my family, and the recipe said 12 cloves of garlic... But she used 12 JARS OF GARLIC
That the recipe only wants 1 or 2 is enough to make me sad. They probably don't need 102, but I'd throw in 3 or 4 at least.
My friend did the same for 18 garlic clove chicken thinking a pod was a clove...

OMG hot oven, disposable cookie sheet, olive oil, kosher salt. Roast. Mash onto crusty bread….so many things to do! Pig out, enjoy, don’t burp or fart near anyone for at least 24 hours.

I hope they converted it into a massive supply of picked garlic. It's quite easy to make and absolutely delicious.
I mean, in a lot of those cooking tips lists people advise you to always use more garlic than the recipe asks for...
Put them in ice cube trays with olive oil and freeze them. Then put all of the frozen cubes into a ziplock bag. The next time you need garlic, just take out what you need and then chop it or leave whole depending on your need.
Fair play to them. I just have my dogs who never question my decisions or argue with me!
Coming from someone who grew up poor to the point that our summer "consisted of playing in a kiddie pool filled with the laundry rinse water (cause water cost money) I still don't understand the allure of Disney. Over priced garbage.
I remember 1 year my grandkids had been complaining that my pancakes were bad because I didn't have a non stick frying pan but I couldn't afford to buy one. 2 weeks later I got one from my daughter lol. Her boys had told her I needed a new frying pan. Last Christmas I'd told my daughter not to buy me anything as I knew she didn't have much money to buy gifts because of being on maternity leave. Imagine my surprise when she gave me a an electric heating blanket because she knew I couldn't afford to have the heating on.
