Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks is still known as the nicest guy in all of Hollywood. And it doesn’t seem that this will change any time soon. At the 2020 Golden Globe ceremony on Sunday, Hanks got the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Cecil B. DeMille Award for Achievement in Film, and it was the perfect opportunity for people to speak up about their real-life encounters with the actor.

We’ve collected some of the best stories about people meeting Hanks in real life, so scroll down and enjoy the heart-warming experience. Don’t be shy about leaving us a comment with your thoughts about Hanks and, if you’ve ever met him in real life, we’d love to hear your tale.

Also make sure you have a read through our earlier articles about how Tom Hanks is the nicest guy in Hollywood, as well as how wholesomely Hanks reacts to some of the nicest tweets.

Stuart told Bored Panda that he met Hanks between Galena and Ketchum, Idaho, in Sun Valley.
We wanted to hear his opinion about why he thinks Hanks is such a genuinely nice guy while there are some other celebrities who create fake personas. Stuart joked that he suspects Hanks "chose his parents well."
He also added that he believes the Hollywood actor "remembers when he was not successful," which helps him stay down-to-earth.
"I’ve worked with Clooney. He’s very much the same," Stuart said.
Lastly, we wanted to find out what Stuart's favorite Tom Hanks movie was. He revealed that it's 'Bridge of Spies.'

I find it really sad and kinda creepy that there is an industry that revolves around stalking people

Numerous celebrities wear two radically different masks: one in public and one in private. Heck, we could even say that most people in the world behave very differently around strangers and their loved ones.

But Hanks is one of those rare individuals who is always genuine, no matter who he’s talking to. Another upside is that the actor being his honest self is great for everybody because he’s a good person. Compassionate. Kind-hearted. Caring. He’s the perfect stranger to help us out when we’ve had a string of bad luck and the perfect neighbor.

My friend once left her phone in my English class, and her teacher went around asking other teachers to pose with the phone as she took pictures.

isn't sad to realise that we praise people who are just nice and normal? Don't get me wrong like keanu reeves he seems like a fricking great guy but since when being nice deserve a praise? are we became so use to freak and weirdo than normal people are now the exception?

Hanks is known for spending lots of time with his fans. He sometimes sends them gifts. And he even answers fan mail. With a typewriter. Oh yeah, he’s that awesome.

When we look at Hanks, there’s a small intuitive feeling that there’s something oddly familiar about him. And we’re not wrong to think that. After all, Hanks’ family is related to the 16th president of the United States—Abraham Lincoln himself. When you realize that, some things just click into place, don’t they?

Both he and Keanu are both very nice, down to earth people who don’t let their fame cover the fact that they are people too. We are blessed to have them both.

“The members of my branch of the family are either cousins or in-laws or poor relations. So when I was at school, guess which president I was always doing essays on,” Hanks joked.

And that is why he is so down-to-Earth: He has remained grounded and keeps in touch with everyone throughout his career.

Go Tigers! Even though it'll take them at least another 5 years to be competitive again, I don't care!

If I was a dancer that was there, 3 seconds after I realized that tom hanks was there I would have already asked for his autograph, hugged him, proposed to him, gotten a picture, and have had him record my voice mail

Tom comes in to meet Rita’s extended family members in my cousin’s restaurant in Chicago. My uncle asked him if he was cold, because he was wearing a white tshirt under his button-down shirt. It was 90 outside in mid summer. Tom looked around and noticed he was the only one. So he went into the bathroom and took it off. When he came out he said “I feel more Greek already - now all I need is chest hair!” Everyone laughed!

Please keep PBS ALIVE!! Thanks Hanks. It's sad that our current admin removed funding for PBS and Fred Rogers was not there with Daniel Tiger to ask Trump about his childhood. [See Fred Rogers address Congress, May 1st, 1969]

Tom Hanks & his wife, Rita Wilson, were at the Mall of America in MN years ago in the first few months of it opening. They were waiting in line chatting with people in line around them, waiting like everyone else for their turn to get a table at one of the restaurants. Most other celebs walk up & expect or demanded seating immediately at restaurant's & not wait in line like everyone else. I love Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson!❤
