Hello, I'm a Finnish artist, Sofia Härö. I've always had a love for dogs as well as art. When I decided to combine these two, the result was the #30canines art challenge.
Drawing 30 dogs in 30 days was a joy and a challenge. All of the drawings are done by hand, in ink and markers. One drawing took around 2-4 hours to finish. Some are good, some are not, but that was the whole point of the challenge - to really push myself!

Dachshund
Dachsjunds always look like they are gonna try and kick your a*s before running away
I'm a 35-year-old, self-taught artist. I'm originally from Lapland, Finland, so nature, wildlife and animals in general have always been very close to my heart. Even when I was a little girl, I used to take care of bugs and all small critters that lived on my family farm. Today, I'm living in Helsinki, but my upbringing can still be seen in my art.
Whippet
Look at this distinguish gentlemen. Hmm, yes. Look at the was he's sitting. Very distinguished.
Very nice...Whippets look like teens that had a growth spurt and they are waiting for the body to catch up
I just arrived here by chance. Impressive art, I always show appreciations towards graphicians, if I get a chance to leave a comment. Btw, I hail from the same country as you, miss Härö :)
American Staffordshire Terrier Mix
BSL = Bullsh** Laws, there is no fighting dog breed, there are only irresponsible owners, the problem usually is at the other end of the leash. Not where the pup is.
My dog is American Staffordshire and bulldog mix! Total sweethearts thoroughly misunderstood
I've always been creative and drawing (casually) since I was little. I started actively drawing a few years back as a New Year's resolution to myself. That resolution has led me to great things, like having several of my own art exhibitions and being able to work on very cool art projects and art orders from my customers.
I've mainly been drawing with pencil and ink, but I'm always experimenting with my creativity and new mediums - even though my Instagram doesn't show it.
French Bulldog
fine you can have my steak but only this one time, this is a one time thing (years later)
The Great Dane
"As my grandpappy, Old Reliable used to say, uh... Don't recollect if I've ever mentioned Old Reliable before.."♥
I don't mean to sound nit-picky but isn't Trusty a Blood Hound? Still, love the quote <3

The most difficult part of the creative process is when you keep creating things that don't fully resonate with yourself. It's nice to create pretty things, but it's amazing to create something that feels like it came from the soul.
Black Lab Pup
awwwwwwww its soooooo cute my mom said i could have a puppy like that cause she loves it too
But please look at shelters and rescues then, they have puppies for adoption too, please don´t go to a (backyard) breeder, support #AdoptDontShop, like most of the Pandas do it, including me.
Load More Replies...If anyone wants a specific breed for whatever reason:there are breed specific rescues ,there's also laboratory rescues (which may take a bit more work, both options may cost you more in vet bills) and retired MWD rescues. All of these may have specific breeds ,some may not but overall you need to provide your dog with appropriate care &enrichment. Soapbox rant over.
The Old Golden Retriever
Drawing and creating are just something that I'm drawn to (no pun intended). It's something that just feels like it is a solid part of me and therefore I can't escape it. I love seeing what empty paper and some ink can create - it's magic.
Norwegian Elk Hound
The Tiniest Dachshund.
This cute Dachshund drawing reminds me of a #Steiff plush Dachshund that my sister and me had as kids, it looked so realistic that we loved to play with it. It would be worth a lot of money if it still existed now, unfortunately we gave it away to the #RedCross some day. It was from the 1970s and some #Steiff plush animal collectors´d pay a lot of money for it now.
Kleinspitz
Swedish Vallhund
Dachshund
Malinois Pupper
American Staffordshire Terrier
The American Staffordshire Terrier
The Boxer
"I am just a poor boy..." (Sorry, that happens EVERY single time I hear or read these two words.)
LOL and I bet that old "Simon & Garfunkel" song´s an earworm now in your head that you won´t get rid of anymore, until you either listen to it completely (some psychologists recommend that) or hear another song that gets stuck in your head, in the morning my earworm was "Viva La Vida" von Coldplay, after they´d played it on the radio, but in the meantime I listened to other music and now it´s gone from my head again, until they´ll play it next time. LOL

As a Finnish artist with a deep love for art and animals, it's fascinating to explore various creative challenges that capture these elements. Just like the playful trend of giving pets expressive emotions, capturing unique and whimsical moments can be incredibly rewarding.
If you're intrigued by blending art and humor with animals, why not explore the concept of drawing enchanting expressions on your pets?
Thank you for your kind words! :) I love the breed! Such majestic dogs
Load More Replies...I just found a few of my “doodle” drawings from art school that I thought I had lost. And I have a Pen & Ink drawing of my late Mothers Pekinese “Scooter” and a friends Boston Terrier name “Butch” that I did over 10 years ago. Your drawings are fabulous. I’ve also done a drawing of my cat Myssee. 👍🏻👍🏻
I love Corgis! They are the cutest little bubblebutts :D
Load More Replies...I really loved your drawings of the dogs, i'm just really sad there was not a Shih Tzu, as a 13-year-old, i have 3 Shih Tzus, but you did a great job, way better than I can do.
These drawings are all so charming. As a fellow artist I'm inspired to try a 30 day challenge of my own, in the not too distant future. The Frenchie is my favorite. :•)
Oh you definitely should! Its quite hard work but it improves your technical drawing skills in a noticeable way :)
Load More Replies...Great doggy drawings, I follow Sofia on IG and Bored Panda too now, on FB I´d already been following her. Thanks a lot for this cute post.
I enjoyed this. Very talented. I'll come back to this one again and again.
I love your work! Do you take commissions? I've been looking for something that would translate into a tattoo of my frenchie for ages!
Thank you! And yes I do :) Contact me via Instagram or Facebook: @sofiaharo.art
Load More Replies...I tip my imaginary hat to this 30 day art challenge. I got some inspiration to get back to practicing drawing canines myself and hope to see more art from you in the near future! Love the simple style you have. Only I was hoping to come across a Border Collie in this list :D
Thank you for you kind words and encouragement :) I'm so happy to hear that my drawings has inspired you to get back to drawing <3
