Having a family pet definitely brings lots of joy to your life. Not only to you but to your furry friend too. Having more than one adorable pet multiplies that happiness so many times, although it also raises various challenges.
Now you have not only one always hungry mouth to feed, but several critters following your every bite. If we're talking several dogs - it isn't always a walk in the park to take them out. And if it's friendly pets of different kinds, such a thing as night's rest might not even exist. And yet, even though it's a lot of hard work, adorable animals give you the best kind of love that's very worth all the hassle.
If you have more than three silly animals hanging around in your house, share your funny photos of what your life looks like. He rescues senior dogs. Many of which require special care and diets. He's wonderful! He takes in those overlooked dogs, because everyone wants a puppy... My life too with 6 kitties, and 5 birds. The birds have no problem sleeping in but kitties lose their collective minds. Its NEVER more than a 30 minute "over sleep"

So, how did she tolerate their weight on her leg? My beagle, Maggie Mae, weighed about 30 lbs. when I had mine done. No way I could handle her on my lap/legs/knees.... Well, you get the picture. My cat, Elmo, was light enough that I could keep him on my lap. Just had to give Maggie a few extra cookies so she wasn't too jealous or sad that Elmo had her spot!

my cats did this, but with a lot of patience (and after eating a lot of meals with just one hand) they learned not to do it. I mean they can look and hope i give them something, but they are not allowed to be "on top of me" like those dogs on the couch! Except when it's chicken, they loooove chicken.

Yup!~ Try giving them the first and last bites of each meal, starting with the oldest dog to the youngest. That way, they'll eventually learn to leave you alone while you're eating the rest. It works!

Of course, they do! I worked in a nursing home and the cat would go curl up next to a patient and we knew to watch that pt. even more carefully than usual. Usually, at some point in the next 24 hours, the patient would pass away. No explanation for why or how the cats knew. I really didn't know, but I came to believe what I saw happen again and again.

I have a walk-through gate between the hallway to our bedroom and the kitchen area. My cat waits for me to open the gate. He walks me right over to the coffee table and waits for me to pull the kitty treats out of the drawer before he climbs up, then give the fur babies their morning cookies. So....if I'm too slow to get up in the morning, MaggieMae, the beagle, will actually nudge Elmo till he gets up and Maggie gets her morning cookies!!!

OMG I thought so for 16 long years too, thought I was too chronic sick to care for a pet or for more than one, until I adopted Gizzy (https://www.facebook.com/Gizzy-Thori-and-Sisi-da-second-hand-kittehz-576379702467034/) in Oct. of 2010, he celebrated his 7th GOTCHA DAY yesterday, and since then I only had 3, maybe 4 mild Lupus flares, before then I had heavy flares that came with a huge weight loss every time every 1-2 months, so now I have 3 senior kitties and´m doing better than ever, still disabled and can´t work anymore, retired in 2009 yet anyway (disabled pension & social security here), but almost flare-free now, thanks to my furkids!!! 13775991_8...a5cb19.jpg

I want to be friends with all these folks and go over their houses to pet AAAAAALL their pets :D BTW, how can they manage to have them all (pets) to pose for the pic? Not even my 14yo boy stands still for more than a minute, much less, the 3 cats and the 2 doggos. Amazing!

Cute, but the headline´s irritating because not on all the pics´re MORE THAN THREE PETS, I acutally have 3, Gizzy, Thori and Sisi, da second hand kittehz who´re on Facebook under that name, they´re 13 1/2, 10 1/4 and 15 1/2 years "old" yet, and Gizzy celebrated his 7th GOTCHA DAY yesterday!!!

When my children were growing up we had ten cats, a rabbit, a collie, and a hedgehog. There was also an opossum who came every night to eat the outside cats' leftovers!
