From nomophobia, an irrational fear of being without a mobile phone, to xanthophobia, a fear of the color yellow, countless phobias exist out there. Now this time, we’re delving into the mind of megalophobes, people who are in fear of anything large, like skyscrapers and jumbo jets.

In fact, there’s a whole corner of Reddit dedicated to sharing examples of this phobia known as megalophobia. “A place to post images of all things large, particularly ones that are 'triggers' for those with megalophobia,” the group’s description states.

Below we rolled up some of the most interesting examples shared on the group, so scroll down. Also, when you’re done reading this one, make sure to check out part 1 of the article.

Clever - but it must be terrifying for the truck driver. Imagine thinking you might be hit by a Russian missile!

Clever, yes. But whoever made this photo public has told the Russians where to find the Ukranian choppers. Not very clever.

A Mi-24 is huge, but it's around 17m long, when this kind of truck is around 10m long. The fact that the helicopter is very close makes the perspective a bit deceiving.

It's called NOE, Nap of Earth flight. They fly as close as they can to the terrain to avoid detection. The skills of these pilots are amazing. I was in the military and the pilot of a chopper did this to show us what it was like. I thought for sure , "this is it, this is how I'm going to die, this guy is going to kill us all for GP" Mind you, we were in heavily wooded terrain.

I hate it when helos fly over my condo building. I can feel some vibration and definitely hear them. I would hate to have them flying over my car. (Nothing to fear, yet. I live in Maryland.)

I have a genuine question....... would the downdraft/rotorblade stuff....thingy not suck the truck off the road or make it difficult to control vehicles on the road? I am not very articulate in asking my question but if someone could help me out please?

That's actually pretty smart. The old Stapleton Airport in Denver had north-south runways OVER I-70. That's a little unsettling. But nothing is as much of an adventure as landing in San Diego. You can see people eating dinner and watching TV in their apartments and houses.

I was a delivery driver for a bouncy castle rental company over the summer and my partner and I almost got hit by an airplane (crop duster) that was coming over the highway. If we had been even 3 meters ahead of where we were it would have taken the top off the box.

He's not using anyone as human shield. This is called NOE or Nap of Earth Flight. A quick research will show you that this is a tactical maneuver to avoid detection. As a veteran, I know about these things. Nothing sinister here
