Dad Shows What Would Happen If Children’s Drawings Became Reality, And The Results Are Both Terrifying And Funny
What started as a fun series between a creative dad and his two children Al and Dom, three years ago has now grown into a bigger and even more challenging project involving anyone who wants to join (previously here).
Things I Have Drawn is an Instagram account where father-of-two, Tom, started to share his children’s drawings and now accepts artworks from kids all over the world. But that’s not all – this loving dad decided that it would be fun to bring those cute, childish doodles into the real-life and recreate their real-world counterparts with a little bit of humor. Giraffes, birds, bears, and anything else a kid with a limitless imagination manages to draw, becomes slightly terrifying but pretty hilarious in those digital artworks that Tom creates.

They did this wrong! The "teeth" is her nose, and the "chin" is her mouth, - with a big smile. Not creepy at all, nothing like the adult-made copy.

Interesting fact, Humpty Dumpty was actually a cannon that was situated on top of a Roman wall here in my hometown, Colchester. It wasn't secured properly and when it fired, the force propelled it backwards and off the wall. Also, the song Twinkle Twinkle Little Star was written here, and the author of The Borrowers, Mary Norton, lived just up the road from me in Alresford, the village where I grew up.

When you ask a very young child to draw something for you, he (or she) will do just that. I find them hilarious. Why on earth do some choose to comment on the talent of a toddler instead of enjoying the result? Toddlers are toddlers, and they doodle in earnest.

OMG - these are hysterical! I love how kids make almost everything with a smile. Even with the face all on one side of the animal, they are adorable. We should all look at the world like kids! Okay, maybe a little messed up, but at least we'd be smiling all the time!
