If it’s not educational or amusing, it likely won’t hold our attention. Many of us still have an inner child whose eyes gleam brightly every time it spots something fun or interesting, whether it’s online or in real life. We’re driven by curiosity and there’s a deep inner desire to learn more about the world. Though it can get dimmer as we age, it never truly goes away. And one way to reignite our passion for learning is by snacking on cool, bite-sized facts about science, psychology, tech, and history.

That’s where the massively successful ‘Did You Know?’ project comes in. Run by a group of ‘knowledge crusaders,’ it shares fun, interesting, and unusual facts about the world that you may not have ever heard of. And today we’re featuring some of their best posts, as shared on their Instagram page, to help spread their mission of enriching people’s lives through education.

Scroll down, upvote your fave facts, and let us know in the comments which of these you found the most surprising, dear Pandas. Oh, and if you feel that you’ve fallen in love with the ‘Did You Know’ project, be sure to follow them on social media for their freshest updates.

We reached out to the 'Did You Know?' team and a representative was kind enough to answer Bored Panda's questions. We also got in touch with Steven Wooding, a member of the Institute of Physics in the UK, part of the Omni Calculator team, and the creator of the Weird Units Converter, to have a chat about how scientists should approach things when there are competing interpretations, embracing mistakes, and staying passionate about your chosen subject. Read on for what they both told Bored Panda.

A member of the 'Did You Know?' team told Bored Panda that they started the project over a decade ago, all the way back in 2011. The goal was to make it fun and interesting to learn new things that people might not know about the world around them, no matter if we're talking about the past, present, or the future.

"Specifically, we know if we can take something complex or long but filter it down to something snackable we have accomplished our goal," they said.

"It might sound cheesy, but we want to make learning fun," the 'Did You Know?' team representative told Bored Panda that, above everything, they put an emphasis on this key thing.

Agreed. Show the truth no matter what. Even if it is dark, even if it is twisted, and even if it is ugly. Justice and reconciliation will only come about if everyone is confronted with the whole truth.

In Georgia there is a push to remove the Stone Mt Confederate Memorial but I've thought it's a great memorial to demonstrate even well-meaning intelligent people can be dreadfully wrong [Robert E Lee was in all other respects a good man EXCEPT for his acceptance of slavery as natural and right] and that we should all keep open minds to where we might be mistaken in thought.

I've always found it hugely ironic how the selecting of products to protest actually reinforces the stereotypes being fought against. Example: Nothing about Kentucky Fried Chicken has been challenged despite their logo prominently featuring an image of what most people see as a typical plantation owner. Must be nice to have been given the power to pick and choose what to rid the world of, except for the things that you personally enjoy.

Except it's not the same as that. Banning the use of swastikas in Germany doesn't mean they deny Hitler's actions. They just won't allow it any more.

It is the same as that though. The banning of swatsikas isn't a blanket ban, they are still used in textbooks and documentaries to document that part of history and teach us about how Hitler used them. Similarly here the stereotypes are seen in the re-release of old media but are not used in new media.

This was for the 3rd volume. Unfortunately, when putting in the Discs to watch cartoons, this intro immediately appears and if you want to get to the cartoons immediately, you need to press menu. The next 3 volumes simply had a written disclaimer at the beginning of them after putting the disc in. BTW, I’ve been watching Looney Tunes for years and have accepted this message for years. That and most of the shorts were still hilarious regardless of being politically incorrect.

They also revealed a bit about their approach to the research behind each fact.

"We focus heavily on the research and fact-checking when creating our content and hold high standards to finding and verifying sources," they explained. "No one is perfect, but we have reviews by writers, editors, and publishers before we publish to ensure we are doing our best to not misinform our readers."

Meanwhile, Steven, from the Omni Calculator project, shared his thoughts about how scientists 'should' behave if they come across two or more competing interpretations of the truth.

"Probably the main factor when deciding on which theory is closer to the truth is the amount and quality of the evidence for each interpretation," he told us, adding that scientists have to put in the work and immerse themselves in their field. Staying up to date with the newest information and findings is critical.

"You have to be prepared to keep up with the developments in a contested field of science, as new evidence may favor one or the other over time. And therefore, you need to keep an open mind in these areas."

A lot of these men and women grew up with racism without any other choice. Some of them swayed easily by a an adult when they are teens. It is just disgusting what they do, and I’m glad someone has the patience to do this with them. I highly recommend the movie American History X. It is a great story about how a bigot figured out his wrongs.

What makes me laugh about the KKK is that so much of their iconography is based in Middle Eastern, early Jewish and proto Christian beliefs - basically, badly educated white people following their beliefs which were actually recorded a thousand + years ago and codified to Turkey, Iran, Iraq - BY BROWN AND BLACK PEOPLE !!! Good for Daryl though ... maybe he could make a start on the US education systen next ....

I lost my fiancé last year at age 63. He was my everything. Being a “widow”.. wasnt married at the of his passing to truly be a widow… this made me cry so much. At my age when you lose your best friend, you’ve lost everything. I’m so glad people see us older people not as throw always but as human beings that still need interaction with others. This old man was so blessed. I hope someday God enriches my life like this too so I don’t die a shut in.

We wanted to get Steven's opinion on how to embrace failure, something that most people probably don't enjoy. Mistakes are great opportunities to learn, but many end up feeling embarrassed and miss the lesson. Reframing failure as trial and error might help some people shy away from failure less.

"One very powerful way of learning a new skill is by trial and error. Take learning to ride a bike for example. We fall many times and make numerous mistakes before we finally get it and we can ride error-free. So the next time you make a mistake, reframe it as part of the trial and error learning process and normal part of it," the member of the Institute of Physics in the UK told Bored Panda.

As for keeping our passion for our beloved subjects burning bright over the years and ups and downs, Steven suggests taking a look at what's fresh and new in your chosen subject. It's bound to rekindle any curiosity or passion you feel you may have lost.

"One good way is to keep up with the latest news happening in your subject area. You will be exposed to all the new developments and realize that the subject is progressing past what you know and learn new things," he said.

I don't see this mentioned in the comments so I'll say it. After Robin Williams' death, all these stories began coming out about charitable contributions he made either silently or anonymously. One of them involved Christopher Reeve. When Reeve's estate could no longer pay his exorbitant medical expenses, Robin took over and paid for all of it until the day Reeve died. And he paid for his funeral. 🥰

Cool! My brother could have used one of those when he was in the hospital after surgery for a brain aneurysm. He had the usual tubes in his arms and a couple orifices, plus a couple tubes draining fluid from his brain. He was a little confused about what was going on and kept trying to pull tubes out. Come to think of it, he could have used a couple crocheted breasts as well, the nurses would have appreciated that! 😮😬

The team behind the ‘Did You Know?’ project states that their main purpose is to “enrich the lives of others by providing fun and interesting ways to learn about the world —past, present, and future—what lies within it, and what’s been discovered beyond it.”

According to them, they provide new ways of “observing and understanding life” in the massive stream of information that many of us have access to at our fingertips.

Above all, the ‘Did You Know?’ team strives for quality, reliability, and excellence. They do a ton of research to make sure that what they’re sharing is as close to the truth as it can be.

“We know you want more than just random, meaningless facts, so we work very hard to live up to your expectations. Whether you’re interested in giant tarantulas who have tiny-froggy pets, lifelong couples who die holding hands, everyday people striving for social justice, the fact that magenta doesn’t exist, or the reason why your diamond engagement ring is the result of a decades-old marketing ploy and holds no actual monetary value, ‘did you know?’ has something for everyone,” the team writes that they try to provide something interesting for everyone, no matter who they are.

No, really, they’re aiming to make everyone happy: “the knowledge junkies, the trivia addicts, the know-it-alls, the need-to-know-mores, the don’t-know-enoughs, the young, the old, the incorrigible, the bored, the eager, the downtrodden, the underdogs, the lovers, the dreamers, and you.” It just goes to show that they really do believe that everyone’s a fan of something. No matter how jaded or cynical.

That happened to me once. My sister, my cousin, and i were in not bad but also not great seats singing along and a security guard comes up and asks us if we wanted to move closer. We wound up in the front row and Billy gave us all high fives! He puts on a good show.

Makes sense. I read that Lin-Manual Miranda keeps an eagle eye out on stage for anyone on their cellphone. He then alerts security to have them removed or otherwise punished. Madonna was, very rudely and inconsiderately, on her f*****g cellphone while in the audience ar Hamilton. Miranda denied her access to the backstage after the show, when she requested it, making no bones about telling her that, since she couldn’t be bothered to stay off her phone and watch the musical while it was being performed, she has no right to come backstage and mingle with the cast afterward. If that’s how the wealthy act, even at a musical that has been f*****g impossible for non-wealthy people to get tickets for, I can only imagine how infuriating it is to have to look at their bored faces in the front row, performance after performance, while true fans who are delighted and excited just to be there to see Billy Joel perform live, are relegated to the cheap seats. I hope more celebrities, especially those who weren’t born rich, and still remember what it was like to struggle, start doing this. Put a stigma on the type of rich people who rub everyone else’s nose in the fact they they’re rich and we’re not, so we’re not worthy of any of the goodies they can afford to have. F**k ‘em.

And yet, for her last tour, everyone had to have their cell locked up in special bags by the staff before the show. Because someone didn't want to look out to a bunch of people fiddling with phones instead of watching.

My husband and I went to see him at MSG a few years ago. We sat in the handicapped area since my husband is in a wheelchair. There was a woman sitting next to us who was there with her two grown sons. She was well into her 70s. She LOVED Billy Joel and this was the 10th or 11th time seeing him. Turns out, she had stage 4 lung cancer and her sons took her to see him play. She hoped to make it to another one; I don't know if she did. But bless her and her devoted sons.

I grew up watching old episodes of his show with my mom. She shared her love of art with me by teaching me the different things he did on his show. I unexpectedly lost my mom in January. She was only 67 and was my best friend. I just got home about an hour ago from cleaning out stuff from her house to get it ready for sale. In her closet she had a Bob Ross Joy of Painting acrylic paint set in her closet with other art supplies I got her for Christmas one year to help her try to heal from losing my dad. It is now home with me. I'm going to use it all to help me start to heal from losing her.

Such a great guy. My daughter went to her grandfather-in-laws funderal and noticed a gravestone not to far away covered in coins. Out of curiosity she went to see who was buried there, and low and behold, it was Bob Ross. He's buried about a mile from where I live in Orlando Fl. He was in the military and the coins let the deceased soldier's family know that someone stopped by to pay their respects.

2002, Parks received an eviction notice from her $1,800 per month (equivalent to $2,700 in 2021) apartment for non-payment of rent. Parks was incapable of managing her own financial affairs by this time due to age-related physical and mental decline. Her rent was paid from a collection taken by Hartford Memorial Baptist Church in Detroit. When her rent became delinquent and her impending eviction was highly publicized in 2004, executives of the ownership company announced they had forgiven the back rent and would allow Parks, by then 91 and in extremely poor health, to live rent-free in the building for the remainder of her life. Elaine Steele, manager of the nonprofit Rosa and Raymond Parks Institute, defended Parks's care and stated that the eviction notices were sent in error.[84] Several of Parks's family members alleged that her financial affairs had been mismanaged.[85]

Reminds me of the ripped blue jeans fad when I was in highschool. I'm wearing my torn up work pants because I'm going right to the farm after school. Media expert Mike Sington previously explained to Bored Panda that it’s vital to find reliable sources to rely on and to be careful what you repost on social media.

"Red flags to watch out for that a claim may be fake: it's outlandish, it's too good to be true, you haven't seen the claim anywhere else, you've never heard the source, the source isn't reputable, you can't find two other sources making the same claim, your gut tells you, 'this can't be true,'" he shared with us some of the signs that a fact or claim might not be true.

Even if she "won" , I feel so sorry for her, at that age it must have been torture to live through that construction job right outside her windows, then having to live in the shadow of that gigantic building with all the foot traffic it generated.

But you can't fight the government. Florida took my house and my property to build a road that never got built. As the crow flies, I was less than 2 miles from Disney proper, and I could see the fireworks nightly from my dining room window. My first night in the house, I heard what I thought were explosions. Nope, just the fireworks. We owned 2 1/2 acres of orange groves and the house. They took everything for $99, 000. Just the property is worth $750, 000 because of it's proximity to Disney. One interesting thing though, a century plant which had been planted when the house was built in 1947, bloomed. They take a minimum of 20 years to bloom, and this one took much longer. It's stalk was almost 20 feet high, with gorgeous flowers, and then it died, which is normal. F**k Florida.

You can’t buy sentimental value. Humans can become attached to a place because of its significance in their lives. We have memories contained in the space that we don’t want obliterated. She probably lived in that house her whole life, or whole married life, and was determined to die in it. I understand that, and I know I’m not alone in that understanding. It’s just that those who are driven by cold hard cash to be unsentimental and uncaring have ignored their own understanding in favor of money. That lack of caring is what has already destroyed so many green places and beautiful old places, and that’s a disgrace. We’re supposed to be better than that.

"The rise of social media has decreased the reliability of information because misinformation can spread so quickly before it can be corrected," Mike pointed out that the speed of sharing information has also made the spread of fake news that much quicker.

One quick way to check the reliability of a fact or a course is to start off with a simple Google search. "Do this and think before reposting or you may be contributing to the problem. Amplification doesn’t make a claim true or accurate," he said that just because something is repeated a lot doesn’t make it true.

Absolutely - I love primates, but they don't make good pets for many reasons, the fact that they're typically social animals being one of them. Not to mention that being kept as pets tends to result in primates becoming aggressive, and since many of them are stronger than humans, this can become a very dangerous situation.

The Strauss family owned—-started—-Macys Department Store. These were rich people sacrificing themselves so younger people could live. They were also an old couple, long married and still very much in love, who wanted to die together, even though Mrs Strauss could’ve rotten a place on a lifeboat. She just couldn’t face the idea of living without him. That’s true love, people.

The scene with the immigrant mother locked below in 3rd class down in the belly of the ship always got me. She calmly tucks her children in bed and tells them a bedtime story. You know there were probably hundreds of people in 3rd class who didn’t have the choice to leave the ship like Mrs Strauss. I can’t watch that scene anymore. Makes me cry too much thinking of all the children who needlessly drowned.

im reminded of an incident here in my home city. some years ago, after a strong earthquake, mass panic ensued when rumors of a tsunami hitting the city started. everybody started leaving their work place and their cars to evacuate for higher ground. there supposedly was an elderly couple who at that time were riding on a jeepney (local form or mass transportation). when everybody started running, they thought that they could never outrun the tsunami and decided that let fate do her job. so they just sat there calmly waiting for the inevitable to come while the rest of the population devolved into madness. this happened around 2012 and i guess the indian ocean tsunami of 2004 was still fresh on peoples memories.

Sometimes human-animal encounters can be good, as long as the humans are good people who want to help, instead of harm. F**k poachers and f**k big game hunters. Well a 30 year-old elephant is as wise and experienced as a grown-up human, if not more. He had certainly seen the vet many times and knew what they do, where to find them and that they would eventually show up. That's very clever, patient and brave from him indeed.

When an elephant dies, it's herd forms around it to say goodbye and to protect from being eaten. Other herds from over 20 miles away also come. Baby elephants are introduced to other herds during migration, and the scent of the new friends remains active for over 40 years. This way, if anything happens to a herd, they can join a new herd. Rarely happens with humans - taking in other humans during times of tragedy. F****n Supreme Court

That last bit about them getting kicked out of a movie theater for laughing too hard while watching Looney Tunes is extremely wholesome and a mood.

Meanwhile, Joseph M. Pierre, a professor of psychiatry at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, said that countering misinformation is “a huge challenge” and isn’t as effective as we’d like it to be because it only presents accurate information as an alternative to false beliefs.

“In my opinion, understanding conspiracy theories and other false beliefs is best understood as a byproduct of mistrust and misinformation. If people don’t trust authoritative sources of information, they aren’t going to replace their false beliefs with facts and we’re not going to be able to agree on what facts are. That’s where we often are these days,” the professor told Bored Panda.

I lived for years in part of a grand old Victorian house. The low wall out front still had the stubs of the old fencing in the wall, like many other houses along the street. I'm sure I read somewhere that actually not much of the scrap from fences was actually used in the war effort, in the end.

It's around £25 / $31 for entry. Absolute rip off and very sad, as you can't get close to or touch the stones now. Plus there is a free public right of way which runs behind a large section of the paid route separated by a waist high wire fence. Also if you know where you are going you can actually ignore the signs and drive down another public right of way to Stonehenge and even camp there if you have a motorhome / campervan with the hippies and druids. The visitor centre is like over a mile away from.the actual Stones and you can either walk or get a coach. How do I know this, because I do it all the time in our campervan ✌️

In his view, ‘inoculation strategies’ can help beat misinformation to the punch. However, the sad fact is that, online, misinformation usually finds its way to people before accurate info. What’s needed is a “retool from the bottom up” in the way people are taught, putting more emphasis on analytical thinking, data reasoning, and media literacy, starting in grade school.

Almost definitely the motivation was neither sexual nor salacious. The phallus, to the Romans, was a symbol of good luck. Think of it as an ancient equivalent of a rabbit's foot.

I go for walks there. It's not on Hadrian's wall. It's in a quarry near hadrian's wall. But it's in a soft sandstone quarry, the chances are it could not have lasted 2000 years. The stone is so soft you can rub it away with your finger.

I think similar carvings in walls in Pompeii were actually signs that showed which way the brothels were. Unless there’s documentation—-a letter from a soldier to one of his bros saying he carved a d**k on the wall—-then it might show which way archaeologists might find the remains of a brothel.

I ended up 'dogsitting' a Yorkie I'd known since he was 2. I was the only other person he loved (got peed on daily due to *omigidomigodomigoditsYOOOOUUU* paroxysms of joy) and my dog Tesla was the only dog that he tolerated. I agreed to watch him for a 'few months' when he was 8 while his Dad found a new place to live. It's been 5 years and I still can't break him of angrily announcing my step children every time they come upstairs and loudly trying to keep them out of my room. He will bark and growl and snap while getting very much wanted scritchies. Unfortunately, his original owner liked that he was angry and antisocial. I don't let the kids touch him unless I'm immediately supervising, and he's always muzzled for vet visits. I KNOW he won't actually bite anyone unless he's startled, and he's never bitten anyone but me while I was trimming his belly fur, but the fact that he constantly *looks like* he's about to rip your arm off is enough for me to keep a close watch on him.

The duck-billed platypus, small aquatic friend Made from the pieces God had over at the end. According to His reckoning (He'd not been wrong before) He hadn't made enough: He needed one mammal more. He studied all the corners in His cupboard large and bare A little foot here, and a little nose there, A scrap of fur, a feather, nothing anyone would miss And God said, "Oh Good God... Yes?..... What can I make out of this?" There was a funny flat tail and a great enormous beak Which had lain in the cupboard for a year and a week. There were four webbed feet in the manner of a duck And hanging on a peg, a furry overcoat for luck! So the turn of the platypus came to be fitted God sat him down and honestly admitted That the finished platypus might appear a little odd, 'But look on the bright side of it,' said God. 'You can swim in the river, you can paddle in the creek, You can tackle anybody with a great big beak,

There's a tail for a rudder or alternatively legs And by way of consolation you've got babies and eggs.' So God took all the pieces into Workshop One And there he told the men the sort of thing he wanted done. The Carpenter and Plumber stroked the platypus's neck And said, "Don't you upset him, he cant run, but he can peck!" So the platypus was made, and his beak was firmly rooted And God found him a home where he would not be persecuted. They packed him up and sent him with his tail neatly furled In a brown paper parcel marked "Australia, The World."

When Iwas growing, as a Catholic, we had in the church choir an Irishman who had an angelic tenor voice. He would sing solos during services and at weddings. He, too, was told by a music teacher to never take lessons as it would ruin his voice. He lost two sons in separate motorcycle accidents, several years apart. He lost his faith and vowed to never sing again.

Gavrilo Princip, the man who eventually assassinated the Archduke and the Achduchess, had a fear of loud noises too. He was asked in 1917, after being told of the destruction that he helped to start, if he had any regrets. None was his answer. He died a few weeks after the Armistice.

The Archduke and his wife almost made it, but their driver took a wrong turn and had to turn around. Princip was on the sidewalk disconsolate at the failed assassination, saw them, and did the dirty deed. The Archduke was heir to the throne, was basically otherwise a non-entity, and really the only noble thing he did in his life was to marry Sophy, whom he loved but he couldn't give her his title. Not Archduchess bt Duchess of Hohenberg, and by the family law his children had no inheritance rights.

But the thing is, when this guy in the post threw the bomb, it exploded and injured some civilians, and then Ferdinand went to the hospital to see them, but the driver took a wrong turn which led him straight to Gavrilo Princip, who was the one who killed Ferdinand and started WW1

Matte painting on glass goes back 70 years prior to Star Wars. It was one of the basic techniques of filmmaking until digital compositing took over. Famous glass matte paintings include King King's Skull Island , the yellow brick road, Mount Rushmore for North By Northwest, and the Statue of Liberty beach for Planet of the Apes. Orson Welles use of them in Citizen Kane to save money was lauded I'm not disparaging the artistry of Star Wars. Instead, I'm pointing out they were standing on the shoulders of giants who shouldn't be forgotten.

"The Making of A Charlie Brown Christmas" really interesting. It's in the Extras on the DVD, and there's a slightly shortened version on YouTube.

Yup. Additionally, DeBeers was in cahoots with another diamond company - sorry, I don't remember that company's name - but DeBeers owned 51% of that company and that company owned 51% of DeBeers. The for many, many years the head of DeBeers was not allowed into the U.S. under threat of arrest for his manipulation of the diamond market. Again, I don't remember the details, it was quite awhile ago, but he worked out some plan with the DoJ to be able to come in.

While the 'Did You Know?' project aims to provide educational nuggets that are both fun and informative, it's intriguing to note how physics intertwines with our daily curiosities. Take, for example, how physical forces and principles explain common phenomena around us.

For instance, the relationship between the human body's inertia and seatbelts could be explored further in the context of interesting physics principles we've always encountered unknowingly.

This reminds me of my camel-riding gimpy knee cure. I could hardly walk but took a ride on a double-humped camel in Ladakh, and the way my legs were swinging free completely fixed my knees. When I got down after an hour's ride, no pain and I could walk perfectly. Went back and did it again a few years later.

When I was severely depressed, I used to construct elaborate stories while I was trying to fall asleep. As soon as I woke, I would anticipate the next time I could reasonably go back to sleep and continue my "storyline". I still remember that feeling of wanting to be unconscious and occasionally, to this day, I still get that urge when I have dilemma or am just having a very off day. I think this is the brain's way of protecting us in stressful situations and also to allow our broken psyches to heal.

And in order to motivate the Devil's Advocates to do their very best work, they generally chose very rich men and put their entire wealth at stake, and their wealth would be forfeited to the church if they lost their case. So, when someone says "Oh, I am just playing the devil's advocate here" it's actually a rather frivolous comment because being the Devil's Advocate is a very serious and drawn-out business.

In the USA especially Florida the dark ages are happening now. Women have no rights gays/trans have no rights and anyone who speaks out against it gets revenge laws made against them.

Didn't Burke and Hare sell the bodies to a doctor for him to study autopsies and anatomy? That's what I learnt, and I am NOT keen on researching it further. Edit: Ok, reread the post a bit, and the comments, and I see now that the coffins held dolls. Why? Were they made to replace the weight of the person who should have been in the coffin, or were they made by someone else as a memorial?

you are correct about Burke and Hare. The coffins are only a few inches long and beautifully crafted. they are definitely an enigma and no one can say for sure what their purpose was. but since they were pretty new when found, the best guess is that they represented victims murdered by Burke and Hare since that was the only remarkable event in Edinburgh in the time period

To be fair this presentation was over 6 months before the phone was released, so the phones on stage were just prototypes and Apple engineers had plenty of time to work the bugs out.

It was his version of “fake it till you make it”. Unfortunately Elizabeth Holmes idolized Jobs and thought she could do the same. The big difference is that her company was dealing with patients and patient test results. Her big promises were made BEFORE the tech was even remotely close to working.

Blue's Clues is (was?) a children's show that started in the mid to late 90's about an always upbeat guy and his blue cartoon dog. They would search for clues in the form of a paw print throughout the episode and in the course of their clue hunting, they would come across everyday objects, also in cartoon form. Very recently, there was a "reunion" with the original Steve, who had left for college irl. Adult Steve addressed the children whom would have watched during his time and proceeded to create an onion ninja apocalypse by explaining how he always thought about them after he left and to also say how proud he was of them. Whoo. I didn't mean for this explanation to be so long, but Blue and Steve were mainstays when my boys were babies and to some extent, me, along with a lot of other adults. Maybe if you watch an episode on YouTube and also watch the recent sob fest of a reunion video, you might get the appeal.

Nikola Tesla was a more proficient inventor, AC Power (alternating current), Radio, Neon Lamp, Hydroelectric Power, Induction Motor, Radio Controlled Boat among many others still in use today. When Tesla died, the government seized all of his inventions and papers for future inventions he was working on. The government has yet to release the stuff. Tesla died penniless partially due to Edison and his business ethics
