After Having Visited Iceland For 9 Days, I Decided It Was Going To Be My New Home (28 Pics)
I come from a Nordic country myself, but after having visited Iceland for 9 days, I decided it was going to be my new home, which has now been the case for the past 3+ years.
To sum up my time here, I've put together a bunch of photos from all over this country, and as you can probably tell, nature and animals tend to be my subject of focus. Even though it is impossible to make the greatness of the scenery justice in the photo, this collection will hopefully convey some of the feelings you get from experiencing it in reality.

Is this pony's eyes as ice blue as they look? He looks like he should be in my favorite fairy tale book "Tatasinda" by Elizabeth Enright, Illustrated by Irene Haas. In the book, in this village, everyone has brown eyes, except Tatsinda, who has eyes like these, ice blue.
All these photos look other worldly. This one looks as if he belongs in "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe." Beautiful.
This is so pretty! It looks like something that would be in Tinkerbell lol.
Now that is a view I don't think I could ever get tired of.
I think this is my favourite! Such a contrast between the calm pool and the crashing waves!
Is this taken from the rock in #16? (Gljúfrabúi - if yes, then I have been there)
This looks like the scene from finding nemo when they are all in the fish tank!
So exciting to have followed all the active volcanic action going on there over the last year or two. Excellent photo!
Wonderful light in this photo!! I almost missed seeing the people on the cliff edges!
lol, so funny i didn't even see them until I read ur comment

I honestly think that Iceland has to be on every outdoor lover's list of top destinations to visit.
All of these photos are stunningly beautiful. Iceland is incredible and one of the places I most want to visit. I have a sort of practical question - are the little light spots bugs or smutz on the lens. I ask because this is what it looks like in Northern Minnesota (USA) from early May to late October, except the spots are mosquitos. Lots and lots of mosquitos.
God is looking down on the people & seeing if they are worthy of being saved!
Called a fog bow where I come from. They occur at the Golden Gate Bridge, where you can add your shadow to the scene

is your word of the day contrast? You use it a lot! Not trying to be rude at all tho

It's the ' light ' & ' dark ' side. Come to the ' light ' side of you want to live. Go to the ' dark ' side like Darth Vader says to Luke Skywalker
Looks like Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli should be running around there somewhere.
I know it's real, but I've never seen it in person, so my brain doesn't think they're real. I'm weird.
Hey mate, you in the ship....get out of the water, there's a storm coming real quick!
These photos are soooooo beautiful. I'm going to visit Iceland some day.....
Thank you so much! You absolutely should, it's insanely beautiful!
