The “Make Me Suffer” Community Posts Unsettling Pics No One Wants To See, Yet They Can’t Stop Looking (30 New Pics)
Whether it’s fear, disgust, or shock, some things captivate our attention despite eliciting negative emotions. Take something disgusting, for instance. Food covered in mold, human guts spilling out in a horror movie, whatever you find to be your personal hell. One would assume it’s natural to try to avoid or at least look away from it, don’t you think?
Well, not necessarily. There’s a scientific explanation of why we are often engrossed in something gross. Moreover, we might even find looking at it somewhat enjoyable. That is likely one of the reasons the subreddit ‘Make Me Suffer’ was created.
With a description reading “If it hurts to look at, post it”, it’s home to pictures of some of the most horrendous things, from unfortunate medical conditions to way too many spiders. Scroll down if you want to test how enjoyable viewing such images actually is. Some can get pretty disgusting, though. Don’t say we haven’t warned you.

Unclogged My Sisters Shower Drain
I’d reckon that the grinch did a full body shave with that amount of hair
Load More Replies...And thete were prob some fruit fly larva in there too. Blech
Load More Replies...I can handle most things…poop, vomit, blood, dead bodies… but hair in the shower drain gives me nausea. Something about the moist, squishy-ness 🤮
And this one seems to have a color to it.
Load More Replies...I feel I am so weird that I find this so gross yet satisfying and I wish I could have been there!
The Conversation revealed that the reason we are often enthralled with something repulsive lies in the early stages of human evolution. It is believed that disgust originally mostly concerned food and helped people evaluate when it has become a source of danger. Its pungent smell or off-putting appearance let them know it was better not to touch it.
That is why people learned to pay attention to it. And eventually, certain things that seemed disgusting became captivating as well. In addition to that, viewing certain abhorrent things became somewhat satisfying due to the human tendency of enjoying constraint risks, also known as benign masochism.
Black Pin Mold That Spawned From A Bowl Of Cat Food That Has Been Soaked In Water For A Few Weeks
Petting your cat with the soft black fur until you realise that said cat lies on the couch sleeping
Cats are smarter than us humans, I'd wager they haven't been in the vicinity for quite some time...

I hate when my balls get all red and swollen and start leaking.................................eyeballs people! get ya minds out out of the gutter.
It must really suck to be allergic to the loveliest, sweetest, most loyal of species. Man, I would hate this.
It is! I would love to have a dog, but neither my allergies nor my cats would be happy
Load More Replies...Is the sclera of his eye actually swollen, or is that a tear? Seriously
Swollen, I had this due to a friends cat. Scared the s*** out of me at first :)
Load More Replies...I have the same type of allergy. Horses, cats, dogs, grass... And OMG it gets soooooo itchy!!!! Its almost impossible not to rub your eyeballs out
When it comes to disgust, it’s not only the palpable things that repel us. Similarly to safeguarding ourselves from physical danger, we tend to save ourselves from what we find morally alarming as well.
The neuroscientist Aditi Subramaniam covered this idea in Psychology Today. “Indeed, there is considerable overlap in the brain regions that govern both 'core' disgust and moral disgust,” she wrote. “When something provokes core disgust, our reaction is to get our bodies as far away from it as possible, to minimize the chances of contamination or infection. Similarly, scientists have suggested that when something disgusts us on a moral level, we tend to want to protect our 'souls' from contamination by staying away.”
My Grandma Has Had This Brush For So Long
I have trichophobia. The fear of hair, especially loose hair no longer connected to the body. This picture gives me more anxiety than I could ever describe. 😳
Did you see the post about cleaning out sister's shower drain?
Load More Replies...Nothing wrong with this, just clean it out every once in…OH MY GOD ARE THOSE TICKS?!
I guess grandma doesn't know hairbrushes can (AND SHOULD) be cleaned. That is so disgusting.
They should also be replaced from time to time...this is PAST time.
Load More Replies...Perhaps OP would have enough money to gift his grandma a new brush....
What Is This Crazy Swarm Of Inch Long Bugs On Gas Pumps In South Carolina?
dont worry ! they only live 24 hours so come back tomorrow
Load More Replies...Well, hello fellow Michigander! Saw this a lot when I lived in the Downriver area (south of Detroit).
Load More Replies...Why the fuel pump though? What is attractive about it? Anyone know?
My best guess is that they were attracted to the bright lights overhead. Don't quote me on that though, I'm no bug expert!
Load More Replies...The online world is an inexhaustible source for those who enjoy viewing rather gruesome content. The ‘Make Me Suffer’ subreddit alone has gathered over a million members since its creation in 2018. And that’s just one example.
Unsurprisingly, such content as well as some horrific trends have attracted plenty of attention from the online community, whether it’s videos of people popping pimples, eating something gross, or something else completely.

My Sister Has A Tooth Growing From The Roof Of Her Mouth
I had this same issue! And this same procedure. Yes, it's about as fun as it looks...
Geez I'm sorry! It looks awful. And this is coming from someone who had to wear fake teeth as a little kid after mine got knocked out.
Load More Replies...I also have one of these. These teeth don't come out on their own, so surgery has to be had to expose it. Then the dentist attaches the chain to the tooth to pull it out and eventually into allignment so braces can be installed. Its anchored to the braces on her front teeth. My anchor is in the back of my mouth. The chain is very annoying but it will get my tooth out of my sinius. She is further along so hers is looser.
Load More Replies...I had that too. The surgery to unearth it and attach it to my braces so it could be pulled into the correct place was oh so fun.
Wait, they can actually move the tooth that far? I would have assumed that it would have to be removed.
Load More Replies...My son has this, but as long as it isn't bothering him, dentist advised to just leave it
Radiologist Said There Was No Broken Bone.. I’m Skeptical
You can, but vast majority of times a limb looks like this it is because of soft tissue damage, severe sprains, strains, and contusions. Majority of breaks do not have this bruising unless it was a crushing break, and you would definitely know if it was, or there was sift tissue damage along with a break. Broken bones do not bleed into the tissue and cause bruising like this. They would have to pierce until the soft tissue, which again, would be unmistakable. . I honestly would be very shocked if the radiologist is wrong, but second opinions never hurt anyone and if you want one you should get one;
Load More Replies...My son had a bad sprain like this, went in for x-rays twice because he thought they were wrong about it being not broken at the E.R. He went in to see his personal doctor the next week and was told it is actually less painful and would heal faster if he had broken it. Bad sprains are awful.
I had a doc tell me the same thing. I had damage to a tendon in my ankle and it was a long process of healing. It's been 25 years and I still have issues with it. He said it would have been better if I just broke my ankle.
Load More Replies...I've broken my leg (required surgery) and had multiple sprains, and honestly - the worst pain was one of the sprains and it looked like this.
Yes, thank you! Breaks don't look like this, buy sprains and strains do, any soft tissue damage!
Load More Replies...A ruptured ligament will bruise like that, too. Harder to heal than a break.
Ooof I've had an injury like that, tore all the tendons .. took friggin years to heal!
Back in the day, when I played football I had a high ankle sprain that turned the bottom half of my leg and foot the deepest colour purple imaginable. It ended half way up my calf in a perfect straight line across. I had to rig up a box under my bedsheets to keep them from resting on the injury because it was so painful.
I had an accident jumping my horse where she fell down and accidentally stepped on my bicep when she scrambled to get up. (She also stepped on my head but thankfully I had a helmet on!) I had never imagined my skin could turn so many colors! It was fascinating to watch. But very painful.
Load More Replies...Yeah, it's a bad sprain. I had a much more swollen and ugly one, and it was not a break. That's gonna turn black in a few days and then slowly fade back to normal after a couple months. Probably be stiff an unable to walk without a limp for a month or two and unable to run for 2 or 3 months after that.
Had a similar looking injury. Pallet jack smashed into my ankle and no broken bones.
As someone who's literally done something resulting in a similar look to the same ankle MANY times, this doesn't mean it's broken. It could be but looking this bad doesn't mean it is. Heck, I have a little three step stairway in the backyard that did a barefoot running jump off of, landed solely on my left heel awkwardly, and it ended having the same color purple as the left picture for weeks.
But it’s not only the disgusting things we can’t seem to look away from; scary material can captivate people’s attention just as well. Take horror movies, for instance. How many times have you seen someone peeping at the screen through their fingers? Chances are, they know something horrifying is about to happen, yet they choose to witness it nevertheless.
According to Frontiers In Psychology, it is related to the build-up and the resolution of suspense. The build-up in horror movies is typically based on negative elements, such as anxiety, stress, or horror. Caused by something atrocious, they emphasize the juxtaposition of the positive effects the resolution of suspense brings.
So Uh... We've Been Having A Lot Of Random Ants In Our House For Years, And Today We Discovered Where They Were Coming From While Painting
once i put my legs over a heating vent to keep warm and my legs were covered in ants
ew ew i can only imagine how long you stayed in the shower
Load More Replies...I once woke up in the morning to a massive ant parade inside my condo. They were going back and forth between my patio door and the kitchen, which was quite a hike for them. On the way out they were each carrying a hunk of cat food. As annoyed as I was I couldn't help but be impressed with their level of organization and endurance. :)
Here’s where I’m actually helpful: there’s a natural, people and pet friendly insect spray called Stem that’s absolute magic! We’ve had a problem with ants in our kitchen for ages. One treatment, and we haven’t had ants for over 2 years! I got it on Amazon.
Partner Drops Used Contacts Behind The Bed Head
I think you need a few more w's and an exclamation mark or two, to fully convey the "eeewwwwwww!!-ness" of this photo.

Ankle 4 Days After A Sprain
A bad sprain can be much more painful and cause more swelling than a broken bone. It also takes a lot longer to heal.
Load More Replies...I had that happen once. Doctor was convince it had to be broken because the bruising was so bad. He actually called after the X-Ray to confirm it was just a sprain (they usually don't call when it's negative). Ice and compression sleeves were my friend. Hope you can rest and let it heal!
I sprang both ankles jumping off the roof onto the trampoline as a kid. Looked like this but much worse. I was convinced they were broke but they healed up after about a month.
I did something similar. The bruise seemed drawn on for how odd it was shaped. Incidentally, looked a lot like this.
You definitely need to get that x-rayed. I know someone whose foot looked like that. They had a cracked bone in their foot and were in a walking cast for a couple of weeks.
Some people who love horror movies are often terrified nevertheless, as fear is not easily manageable. (Readers who have fears related to any of the listed images can attest to that.) Similarly to disgust, it is a survival instinct based on responding to a perceived threat. However, the things we identify as threats differ from person to person. That is why something that’s terrifying to some can evoke no reaction from others.
Had A Hangnail
I’m so confused as to how a hangnail caused this?! How is the person not bleeding?!
AUghhhhhhHh!!! I hate hate hate this!! It made me cringe so hard!!!!!! Some of these should have trigger warnings

ORIF = operating room internal fixation meaning the hardware is on the inside of the skin. The external fixations are much more gruesome in my opinion
It's actually Open Reduction Internal Fixation. But yeah, External Fixation is worse.

I have one just like that! Broken ulna and radius repaired with a metal plate.
In some cases, excessive fear might actually be a phobia—a debilitating sense of anxiety caused by a specific object, situation, or feeling. The National Institute of Mental Health revealed that nearly 13% of Americans experience a certain phobia at some point in their lives.
When They Move Out But Don’t Clean Their Fridge
Whelp... time for a new fridge... People are truly disgusting...
I'm in the process of buying a house and the previous owners left their fridge like that. My wfie and mother-in-law cleaned it out while I was laying the new tile floor and they both were barely able to keep lunch down.
Load More Replies...Time to wheel it outside and use that squirty soap brush that screws onto the hose for washing the car.
I moved out of a rental 2 days after my birthday and we all forgot about the ice cream cake in the freezer. Landlord found it a week later (power was off day after I moved).
I moved into a place with this mess. They also left dishes in the dishwasher. It was truly gross.
Hand-Foot-And-Mouth Disease Is No Joke!
My brother got this from his toddler one time. The kid had minimal symptoms but all of my brother's fingertips completely peeled off. His toes too. It was gross.
When a nursery gets hit, it spreads quickly. If your child is ill, keep them at home!
They can spread it even before you can see it on their skin. My son got it in his first week of day care. Started with a fever, so we left him home with grandma. In the evening we found the first rash. By then, we left grandma out of the care for him. Nevertheless, she also got it. She had a really high fever. My dad didn't, but his hands and feet looked awful for weeks. He even lost a few of his fingernails.
Load More Replies...Kids are great! You'd miss something if you didn't had any.
Adults are rarely infected for some reason, unless they have compromised immune systems.
My brother got it from his son. My nephew just had minor symptoms but it messed my brother up big time. Really gross.

Found These Guys Crawling All Over My Kitchen Floor This Morning, After Some Heavy Rain Last Night
Oooo unless you have lizards aren’t those good for lizards?
Load More Replies...Everyone saying dead body, but could also be rotting hamburger or chicken somewhere, as well
Yup. I ended up with maggots in my trash can after ONE fly got in the house and laid eggs there. I couldn't believe how fast those things hatched! Probably the most disgusting thing I've ever dealt with.
Load More Replies...I'm not an entomologist, so don't take my word for it. But it's totally possible these aren't maggots. Flour weevil larvae look a bit like this (I've found some in an old bag of flour hidden in the back of a pantry (look a lot like maggots). Also midge larvae can be found in damp leaf litter, and they look a bit like maggots. Totally possible there isn't something dead, but they sure as hell came from somewhere
Phobias are classified based on the source of the anxiety. They include animals, the natural environment, blood, injection, and injury, situations, and other types. Some believe there are as many as 500 different kinds of phobias.
Getting Hit Head On While Riding A Dirt Bike
haha nah he meant it as in he had a head on collision, not a collision involving a head
Load More Replies...yeah I hope he has lots of drugs for that...three broken bones must be excrutiating!
Load More Replies...My dad kit a Boulder (we live in the desert) while he was riding his mountain bike he was going to fast to bail his bike flipped sprained his arm and had a giant gash leading from the bottom of his neck to his waist
Oh so close to a compound fracture. So lucky it wasn’t. You can get a really bad infection if that happens.
yeah, that happened, basically, to my son, but the damage was to his arm/wrist. he sent us a picture; he had migrated his hand to where his pinky was in line with the inner side of his arm. had a steel rod bolted to his arm for more than a couple of months. Bolted....on the outside! that was creepy. massive scar too. He tattooed the date of the accident along the scar.
1 Piece Of Mussel And Then This!
I feel itchy just looking at this, reminds me of the time I slept in a hotel with bed bugs 😅
Shower Mold
I'm nearly certain that this shower was lined with melamine-faced "bathroom panels" which are appropriate for the walls of a bathroom, but not a shower enclosure where they would be subject to constant water contact. The pressboard structure would expand and contract at a different rate causing the melamine to split all over, exposing the pressboard part to direct water contact and mold growth.
Load More Replies...I just don't understand how someone can actually step into that and imagine they're getting clean.
Ugh, my bathroom was similar to this and just this year I finally was able to have it gutted. This is some before & after. bathroom-b...0a2990.jpg
1. Remove shower 2. Take out into large field and burn 3. Bury with cement 4. Buy a new shower
When it comes to the most common phobias, Very Well Mind distinguishes the following ten: arachnophobia (spiders), ophidiophobia (snakes), acrophobia (heights), aerophobia (flying), cynophobia (dogs), astraphobia (thunder and lightning), trypanophobia (injections), social phobia (social interactions), agoraphobia (places or situations that are difficult to escape), mysophobia (germs, dirt, and other contaminants).
Looks Like My Christmas Gift Came Early!
Hair and makeup. The worst part, it had been there for about an hour and I couldn’t get to it because it was too far in my eyelid, and I had to wait for it to move up on it own so I could pull it out. Super uncomfortable lol
Hairy balls...........................Bloody hell I thought we went over this, EYEBALLS!
Funny that eyelashes are supposed to prevent things from getting in your eyes, but every time something's in my eye, it's an eyelash.
Got a tiny black thread stuck in my eye right before a performance, fist time having to pluck something out my eyeball, but I thankfully didn't cry and ruin my makeup lol
Why did they not run their eye under the sink and wash it out!? They waited?
Please, please don't use tap water to wash out the eye. Distilled water or saline solution only for eyes. In an emergency cooled, boiled water can be used. I repeat -*never* tap water. There are amoebas in tap water that will colonise the corneal surface, especially if it is scratched. These amoebas can cause blindness within a very short space of time, and can even cause the eyeball to rupture.
Load More Replies...Wet Q-tip. I used to have to help my Mom remove her contacts because she never did get the hang of putting them in.
A Wart On My Thumb That Has Resisted All Treatments For Years
It's been frozen and mostly fallen off, keeps coming back. Dermatologist has been injecting amino acids into my thumb/nailbed the last few times. Literally one of the worst pains of my life, plus it peels after exposing raw flesh.
A traditional Aboriginal medicine is the needle wattle (Acacia rigens). You take the needle like leaves and stick about 3 or 4 in the wart and repeat for a couple of days. The wart will shrivel up and you will be able to pick the dead skin off and then apply some redgum sap to kill the infection.
My grandma’s wart cure: dab castor oil on it every morning and evening, tape it so no air can get to it at night and put a band-aid on during the day. It’s slow but the wart eventually shrivels up so you can pick it off and never comes back
Load More Replies...This looks like the "before" picture to that one earlier in the list about a hangnail
I had a wart on my index finger that I tried having frozen, burned, chemical treated, scrubbed, and even tried the ductape trick. No dice. I got mad at it and excised it with some corn clippers until all I could see was subcutaneous fat. Removed the dermis all around it. Yes it hurt. The skin grew back with no scar. Please do not construe this as advice.
I had a wart on my foot which caused me immense pain when walking. The dermatologist said I just had to live with it. Thankfully, I went and got a second opinion! My new doctor made me put on the normal ice stuff, then every few weeks she would remove dead skin with a scalpel. Wart has been completely gone for 7 years now and I've been pain free for just as long :)
had a plantar wart, root and all, that wouldn't go away with freezing, salicylic acid, etc etc...so i dug it out and it never came back. Painful as heck, but worth it. It was SO ANNOYING to walk on!!!
Load More Replies...Duct tape; tape it up so it has as little air exposure as possible. Change out tape as needed.
In recent studies, this method of wart removal was found to be as good as, if not slightly better than, other methods such as cryotherapy and salicylic acid treatment.
Load More Replies...I had warts I couldn't get rid of for decades... I got my hpv vax 'late' after it was opened up to everyone under 45(?), and while not the intended effect, it did actually get my body to recognize the warts as an issue and got rid of them. Not entirely sure the mechanism but I'm not alone with it.
I had that problem once when I was 12, I went in after the roots and pulled/cut all those things out with tweezers and nail cutters, it sucked and kinda hurt but it never came back. I still can't eat Jackfruit to this day because it reminds me of the inside of a wart. If you don't kill the roots it will just keep growing back.
My doctor removed it with a burning thing. A bit like a soldering iron. You're left with scar tissue, but the wart is gone. Can recommend.
Saw These Creatures At The Base Of My Toilet. Wiped Them Away With Bleach Only For Them To Reappear In Force A Couple Days Later. What The Heck?
The fact that there are some with wings usually means the colony is outgrowing the current area, and will soon branch into a new colony elsewhere in the house. If they haven't already
Load More Replies...yeah unless that is taken care of soon, those wood eaters will whittle away the sub floor and joists under that toilet and you will have a heck of a shocker when you sit down one day.
Well, first, pour dish soap down the hole just to keep them from coming in. Then, call an exterminator, because you're about to lose your house.
NEVER caulk around the base of your toilet!!!!!!!!! You'r toilet is leaking and you don't know it because of the caulking. This is causing termites to eat the rotten wood. I am a contractor and speak from over 30yrs. of experiance.
X-Ray From When I Broke My Arm As A Kid
Looks like the xray from my youngest nephew when he broke his arm. I remember I almost dropped my phone when I opened up that picture
Right side is a green stick fracture. It’s common in kids because although the bone has broken because kids bones are still somewhat soft it breaks like a small green branch does on a tree because it’s soft.
The Hairbrush My Daughter Leaves Hanging In The Shower
People! It takes literally two seconds to just peel the hair out and toss it! Gross!
Please tell me she uses it to scrape loose hair out of the drain before she exits the shower...
OP, how old is she and does she have a job? Buy her a brush anyway I guess. Or show her how to clean it up. Also tell her she'll be bald in about 5 years or so.
She just had long hair, this is my brush it I don’t clean it after day 2 of using it. It’s insane and I’m old and not bald or thinning. Just super long hair
Load More Replies...This makes me gag. If I didn't clean my brush out after a couple of days, it would look like this as well. However, (as another person had mentioned), she shouldn't brush her hair when it's wet. Get a shower comb if anything. Also, if that's the kind of brush that has the rubbery piece attached to the plastic, it's going to mold, if it hasn't already. I clean my brushes out daily and the shower drain every time I wash my hair. I kind of have to though because my hair goes past my knees so I have to clean my brush and drain frequently.
Hair Of The Dog? Friends House, Straight Out Of The Dishwasher And The Hair Appears To Be Burned Onto The Glass Somehow
That’s why I always check my glass before. Especially if it’s been in a dishwasher. If I find a hair in my food or drink that’s it I’m done. Even if it’s my hair.
You should do them a favor and "accidentally" drop the glass. No one should be drinking out of that.
My Mom's friend was never a great housekeeper. She also had FIVE Persian cats, which crawled all over the kitchen counters and in the cupboards if left open. Decided never to visit again when I was handed a cup of coffee with cat hair floating in it.
A Thing
Who knew you could grow your very own Voldemort?
Load More Replies...I had an old hillbilly meth cook on my crew on a drilling rig when I was younger. He had this huge growth on the side of his neck. He said it started out like a pimple and just kept growing. He never went to the Dr. And it was so big he couldn’t turn his head to the right. This guy had so much s**t in his system that if he was bit by a tick it would be dead when he pulled it off.
That's interesting. I get them behind my ears sometimes. Ends up being a big blood/pus-filled pillow that eventually pops on its own in my sleep. Kinda like a blister. Popped one with a thumb tack once. Lots of blood but otherwise not so bad.

Tea tree for sure but it does need to be diluted, about 1:6 tea tree to olive oil/coconut oil...
Load More Replies...For the love of God!! Brew a bowl of strong black tea and soak your feet in it for 20 minutes a day. The tannins will kill it. Promise
I wonder if that works for jock itch as well?? teabag a teabag?
Load More Replies...It should also be known as "industry foot". I haven't met a server or kitchen worker that hasn't gotten to that point.
That's the only time I have ever had it, when I was waiting tables. So painful. I switched to mesh running shoes after that. And now only get moisture wicking socks.
Load More Replies...Get some monistat 7. Yes I know it's vaginal cream but more importantly it's for yeast infections which is athletes foot, jock itch or any other itch in cracks and crevices that might hold moisture. Put it on at night and it will pretty much be gone in the morning...no more itch.
That’s what my dads feet used to look like but much worse. Remember him watching tv shaving off skin with his pocket knife.
Broke My Finger Looking For Food
Lol, I did this to my pinky toe. Rummaging in the pantry dropped a can of tomatoes from the top shelf. I looked down at my toe and it was pointing the wrong direction. I hopped to the bathtub with an ice tray and roll of electrical tape. Soaked my toe in ice until it went numb, then popped it back into place (not numb enough, owww). Then tapped my little toe to the toe next to it. I was consulting at a law firm, and had to get special permission to wear sandals because my foot was so swollen it wouldn't fit into shoes.
I broke my middle finger in October 22 while having a seizure. Thing is all crooked and I still can’t make a fist. It’s fun to show people, though 😂
I hope your seizure disorder gets under control. You were obviously having a grand mal.

I Don’t Like This
Amazon River dolphins are creepy enough. But allowing them to mate and reproduce with humans is just morally wrong.
You are joking maybe, but in Brazil we have an urban legend about a pink river dolphin that turns into a human to seduce and impregnate young women. Obviously, this is cover for young ladies that don't want to tell people who the father of their child is.
Load More Replies...I know it’s not real but I don’t wanna discriminate on this man dolphin 😆 he seems caring and has a lot of love to give
Before And After Of A Fridge I Cleaned Last Summer After My Friend Was Without Power For About A Month In 95+ Degree Weather
After the first day of being without power I would have pitched everything in there precisely so this didn't happen. Maybe I would have kept the jarred garlic, that should have still been ok.
Um, why aren't the strawberries, moldy if the power was out that long??
Broke Some Bones A While Back
Omg I snapped my femur clear in half years ago; my thigh was bent! The only thing saving it from being a compound fracture was the tight jeans I was horseback riding in. THIS HURTS TO LOOK AT!!!
That's awful. It is said that a femur fracture is the most painful thing a person can experience.
Load More Replies...I had both femurs broken like that at the same time from a car wreck. I feel your pain.
Pictures Today While My Nail Biting Addictions At Its Very Peak
I don't bite but I compulsively clip. Sometimes while trimming my cuticles, I shave a bit of nail off the top and this happens: IMG_201808...9a6738.jpg
I don’t bite or clip but I chew on my cuticles and the sides of my fingers and it’s not pretty
Load More Replies...I don't bite much, but I have been a nail-picker since I was like 2 years old. Have quit and relapsed several times in my life, but currently 2 years without serious picking! :)
I feel for this person. I don't cut anymore, so biting my nails took its place
Woof, I feel that. I'm on the autism spectrum and trying to quit SH, but the thing is that cutting is a really effective stim in terms of killing meltdowns. Like, I'm overstimulated and freaking out, (I literally look like a child having a tantrum while doing this, it's embarrassing) and one of the ONLY things that reliably helps is, you guessed it, cutting. But I'm not doing that anymore! So, meltdowns often result in my being covered in bruises from biting and hitting myself. (It's near-impossible to stop the harmful stimming when I'm having a really bad one.) Thankfully my family and I have figured out that deep pressure at the top of my back right below my neck is just as effective, if not more. But that's not always a realistic option, such as when my parents aren't around or we're in public or I'm having a meltdown because I'm fighting with them.
Load More Replies...I am so glad I broke this habit!!! 5 years and I actually have nails and not painful fingertips! You can do it!!!
Yikes... I kindly advise you kick the habit. It can result in a deadly infection!
I started painting mine with clear nail polish (it's cheaper) and that stopped me from biting mine! Good luck!

SPDIF directly on the motherboard? Along with E-SATA and Firewire? I wonder what this build was for.
A lot of older gaming boards came with firewire, E-SATA and SPDIF. Firewire and E-SATA are mainly lost in modern boards but SPDIF is still a common feature. My X570 has it and my old Asus sabertooth FX 990 had all three.

This Is What Can Happen If You Forget To Clean Out Your Bladder (Camelbak) Every Time You Use It
I had a friend who put Bailey's Irish Cream in his bota bag to share with friends at the Renaissance Faire. Threw it in the back of his car at the end of the day & forgot about it until the following weekend when he went to refill it. He described the contents as "Bailey's Irish Cottage Cheese."
When you clean it, put closed tongs inside after washing and open them up to keep it open to be able to dry thoroughly. If you can't do this right away, toss it in the freezer to keep mold & bacteria from growing.

That is so racist. Do other skin colored people think the whites cook like that?
And can you imagine this comment being made about any other race?! It'd be a horrible, racist thing to comment if you substituted ANY race in that comment!! Like cooking skills are limited by race of all things, not by individual skills 🙄

Saag paneer looks like baby poo, but it is fantastic. Also it's not tortellini, it's hard boiled eggs. I assumed the black flecks were wild rice, but you might be right
