Stuff like this also shows how mentally stuck in the past conservatives are. They honestly think scenes like this will actually scare people as much it scares them.

Regardless of context, I think the reply was justified. As someone who can't have kids, I am sick to the back teeth of people asking me when and why we don't have kids. Mind your own business.

#1 on the list of stupidest things ever said to me: "How can you know you don't want kids if you don't try it?" My response was, "Chr!st - we're not talking about shoes! It's not like I can take it back if it turns out I don't "like" it." Mind you - that was said by a man married to a stay-at-home mom who was happy being a 1950's housewife making sure he never had to do anything with his kids at all. Hey - it works for them - great. :) Not for me, thanks.

I see someone who is going to potentially kill me to give it life, never let me sleep, have me elbow deep in diapers, treat me like an ATM and a taxi while constantly complaining about how I ruined their life. No thanks.

My mother had 7 children of which I was the second. She raised us until we were toddlers then systematically got rid of us. Two of us were adopted by grandparents, one was shaken but survived and wss adopted, two we can't locate and the last two she dropped off at an orphanage in their preteens. I met her before she died and she spoke & acted as if I was 2-- the age at which she abandoned me.

I'm pretty sure this question was rhetorical, but the responder was right. People shouldn't have babies for the sake of it OR pressure others to do the same. Parenting is a HUGE responsibility.

As a single mom with two toddlers. It's hard! I didn't plan for them, but I'm choosing to raise them. I've always wanted kids one day, it was just sooner than I expected. Babies are adorable, but it is not for everyone. Having and raising a child (or more) is a choice. When I was a kid hearing of adults not liking children I was confused as to how come. Now that I have kids, I totally get it. I still love kids, but I don't judge if you don't like them. I get it now lol

Because I don't want to give up my life just so I can raise a child who will probably not even open up to me and will grow more and more distant as time goes on and I don't know if I'm responsible enough to keep it alive or anything

Or, as in my case, you wanted kids but can't have them, and having stuff like this thrown in your face is heart breaking.

I can't help but notice, it's often those who can't afford it, who have a lot of kids, and those who can, choose not to. I'm not shaming or blaming, but I do feel sorry for all those kids of parents, who had them without having the resources to raise them.

There's no way in hell I'm passing on my messed up dna.

I saw this a while back and I totally agree. I've never wanted kids. Don't even find them adorable. I don't have the patience or enough of my own health. I'd be a very angry, sad and depressed mother. Why would I do that to myself to keep others happy.

Ahhhh- I don't like babies- puppy? Cute! Kitten? Absolutely adorable. But babies?? Ew. The world is overpopulated enough. If you want to have kids, fine, but there are so many who need adoptive families, or animals who's lives you can save.

Also they aren’t even cute to all of us. Some people see babies like cute kittens or puppies. Not everyone though. I think they’re ugly AF like blobfish or something. I can’t even think of an ugly animal lol. Babies are usually ugly, not like those two pics. Plus even the babies in those pics make gross sounds, smells and faces. Ew ew ew.

I dont understand how people *could* want one of those. I can't stand children, didn't even like kids when I was a kid (yes, including myself) and to this day I can't stand children. I'm not gonna punt a toddler or anything, but I'm sure as hell going to do everything I can to avoid interactions with children.

Heck, I don't even get a cat just because it's cute, it's another life I am fully responsible for. And then people do this to their own kids...

Every little girl does not want to grow up and be a mommy. If you don't want an abortion, get a vasectomy.
