From devastating clapbacks to good-natured puns and every other type of delightfully witty reply, a Twitter account called Gems Of Replies is there to document it all - for our benefit.
You know that sensation so many of us get hours after a conversation or argument when we realize - “damn, I should’ve said [X] instead…”? Scrolling through this account is basically the opposite of that as you get to see every moment of glory where someone said exactly what needed to be said.

Well, in all seriousness: when I was deepest into depression (when I went to the uni) I started to get really into studying. I thought "well, this book doesn't care how I feel, the text is still the same". I also read different types of fictional stories. Kafka made me laugh, which was weird. Oh, and I saw ALL of tour de France that year. Not missing any of it. Because I was too physically exhausted from my depression to do anything but sitting on my couch. Oh, and my depression nearly got me killed a few times when I was walking in traffic so I just went outside as little as possible. But studying was a real great way for me to get out of depression.

Actually, as a VERY short term solution, according to the professor of my Abnormal Psychology class way back in 2005, the quickest way to alleviate symptoms of depression is by not sleeping, because the brain will increase the release and absorption of the assorted "happy" hormones/chemicals. However, as I stated, it is temporary, because fatigue will set in, and mess all that brain chemistry up.

I think it depends on the context. My native language is almost dead because people gave English too much priority. Now only villagers and old, established families can speak purely in our language, everyone else tries to talk in as much English as possible.
