“Sorry, We Are Sorry”: 35 Hilarious Accurate Memes That Sum Up The Country Perfectly (New Pics)
Canada is the second largest country in the world but it's very sparsely populated. Over 80% of locals live in cities and more than two-thirds are settled within about 60 miles (100 kilometers) of the southern border.
Canada is officially bilingual in English and French, which reflects its history as the place was once contested by two of Europe's great powers. Canadians also have one of the highest standards of living in the world!
Visiting the land of maple syrup is on many people's bucket list, so we decided to see what the fuss is all about and visit it through the Facebook page 'Funny Canadian Memes.' Judging from the comments under its content, this should be not only an accurate but also a humorous and delightful way to explore the country's culture and share some laughs along the way.

Tampa resident, here: May I hiiiiiighly recommend putting Rain-X on your windshield. When it's downpouring, if I'm doing any speed over 40mph, I don't even have to turn on my windshield wipers. The stuff is magic.
Load More Replies...We used to play "GUARDRAIL!" The person on the passenger side would be lookout as well as shotgun.
This is Level 1, where you have taillights and street lamps to follow.
This was me when I lived in Colorado. Denver was pretty spotty with the road clearing sometimes.
Spotty...meaning highways and hospitals, otherwise, nothing.
Load More Replies...I fully admire people who can drive on the snow because where I live, there isn't any snow. One time it snowed and the news stations issued an emergency and so many people got in wrecks because no-one could drive in the snow
It's just a thing of getting used to it. As it is with all things. Funnily enough, when it snows the first time each year in bavaria the people drive like they've never seen snow before. After two days everything is running smoothly
Load More Replies...I have played this game in Minnesota and Wisconsin; and in Northern California with fog.
Finland sticks these reflecting orange plastic sticks at the side of the roads. They are mainly meant for snow plowers to know where the road goes, but they also help all drivers especially in the dark. Also they are set specific distances apart (forget what the amount is) and that also serves as a reminder to keep at least that much diatance between cars.
I've played that game in New England and the Northern Midwest. It's similar to the blind leading the blind game of following the tail lights of the car ahead of you in thick fog.
Same in Alaska... oh wait, we barley have any roads!
One time, I wasn't on the road... I was literally driving in a field about 20 feet parallel to the road. The police found me and escorted me back to town (apparently the road was closed but the signs went up after I was already on it). Zero visibility combined with a big dump of snow landed me in a field.
Tell me about it Nancy. Snowbelt drivin'. One minute it's clear blue skies and then you hut a streamer and within 30 seconds you can't see the hood of your car. Can't see to go forward, can't stop because you'll never get started again and whoever is coming behind you can't see you.
Load More Replies...Just keep it between the trees and hope the ditches aren't too deep.
We are playing a couple of rounds of that in CA. Yes it DOES rain in California...
we play something like that here in Minnesota, it's called, " Whose Lane is it Anyway" (where the lines aren't obvious, and the cops/plows/drivers don't care)
In this day and age of being pre-warned 99% of the time. I would stay home, playing a whole different kind of game
It’s the same game in Minnesota every time they haven’t plowed yet after a snowstorm.
In the winter it's played with snow and fog. In non freeze times rain
California plays that game as well... Doesn't matter what season, what time of day or night or if there's construction or road work being done.. some of the bigger insurance companies are done playing the game and have stopped ensuring California drivers.
I was on my way home in thick fog in my brother's old Simca and the only way I could make sure I was still on the road was to follow the back lights of the car in front of me (Sweden, in the winter).
Since a road is where vehicles drive, I suspect you can pretty well go - oops, mind that tree ....
Canada shares a 5,525-mile- (8,890-km-) long border with the United States (including Alaska), and it is the longest border in the world not patrolled by military forces.
Although Canada shares many similarities with its southern neighbor—and, indeed, its popular culture and that of the United States are in many regards very similar—the differences between the two, both temperamental and material, are profound.
I hold the end of the inner sleeve with the hand I'm pulling through, as I pull it through, never have a problem with this living nightmare anymore.
For example, according to the 20th-century literary critic Northrop Frye, the central fact of Canadian history is the rejection of the American Revolution.
Generally speaking, modern Canadians are inclined to favor orderly central government and a sense of community over individualism, and in international affairs, they are more likely to serve the role of a peacemaker instead of a warrior.
Whether at home or abroad, they are likely to have a pluralistic way of viewing the world.
Furthermore, Canadians live in a society that in most legal and official matters resembles Britain, at least in the English-speaking portion of the country.
Quebec, in particular, exhibits French adaptations: more than three-fourths of its population speaks French as their primary language.
The French character in Quebec is also reflected in differences in religion, architecture, and schooling.
Elsewhere in the country, French influence is less apparent, confined largely to the dual use of French and English for place names, product labels, and road signs.
The French and British influences are supplemented by the cultures of the country’s Native American peoples (in Canada they are often collectively called the First Nations) and Inuit peoples, the former being far greater in number and the latter enjoying semiautonomous status in Canada’s newest territory, Nunavut.
Interestingly, two doctoral students at McMaster University, a bit outside of Toronto, compared millions of geotagged tweets from the United States and Canada from 2015. They looked at the top 10 percent of words most likely to be used by Canadians and compared them with the top 10 percent most likely to be used by Americans.
They discovered that Canadians, true to form, are just way nicer on Twitter.
The most disproportionately Canadian words on Twitter were things like "amazing," "great," and "favorite." Of course, the word "agree" was on the Canadian side of things, too.
The words way more likely to show up in American tweets — some of which had to be blurred out when presenting results of the study — included "damn," "hate," "a**," and some racial slurs that shouldn't be repeated.
Psshhhh.... that's Montana. Winter and fire season at the same time.

The entire aviation industry accounts for 2% of global emissions. Private planes account for 2-3% of aviation emissions....emissions from cars in the US, account for 5% of GLOBAL emissions (and 30% of overall US emissions) meanwhile, we're up to 400,000,000 TONNES of plastic produced per year, and FIFTY F*****G PERCENT OF IT IS SINGLE USE. Straws, bags, food packaging, beverage bottles...STFU about the paper straws. In fact, stop trying to pretend the selfish, short sighted and unnecessary collective actions of BILLIONS of people aren't significant simply because you can point to someone that is doing slightly worse then you are.
Are… are there Canadian “rednecks”? Signed, an American who is genuinely curious.
Oh my God finally! French-Canadian - Québec - culture is rich and to be respected and protected as much as any other!

All in favor of renaming Canada 'Canadia' to sound cooler say I.
As a Canadian, I laughed quite hard at a few of these. Well done. The Tim Hortons drive-through will be like that until the end of time. The Uber driver is spot on. Moose are basically the size of a car.
Let's not forget the Canadian versus the Finnish approach to bear/s in your backyard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxTKJgsxwpE
The fond memories of edmonton Halloween. Either you suffered being cool and getting frostbite or you became the jet puff marshmallow man dressed as your costume. (For those who don't get it, a lot of parents made their kids wear winter jackets and snow pants under their costumes because their was usually snow on the ground at that point.)
Many are not Canadian at all. Just 80s memes or some.sort of weird right wing meme
Although I would prefer no politics at all in the posts, it's refreshing to see something that's not left leaning for once. I stopped coming to this site a long time ago because it seems like everything was crazy Woke.
Load More Replies...Would you have the same criticism if they were memes making fun of the right? I haven't been to this site in a while but it got crazy Woke and left leaning over the years. Overwhelmingly left. So at the very least, at least it's a tiny little bit of balance.
