Hoya Carnosa, Since It Started Blooming A Few Years Ago, It Hasn't Stopped
I have the same species of hoya and have always thought the flowers looked like those candy cake decorations because they don't have the familiar structure that a flower with traditional petals does. The amazingly fragrant smell may have had something to do with thinking that too.
Put then outside for summer and they've bloomed every year for us, 6

Load More Replies...Where? Fantastic! I saw huge peaches growing in San Francisco 50 years ago in a back yard about 3 ft wide, in the Castro neighborhood.
I‘m in Northern Germany and I‘m surprised myself. 🙂 The wall of my house that you can see behind the tree faces South, so there is as much warmth as possible.
Load More Replies...Proud of you! Your tree looks very healthy, too! Be aware of black rot! But I think you've done a marvelous job of cultivating this tree.
Thank you for your compliment and for your advice! 🧡

I parked my car near, or under-ish my big frangipani and I just realized it’s been dripping sap all over the car. Ugh.
My favorite kind of flowering tree! I have one in my yard but sadly much of it was destroyed by the last hurricane... hopefully it will come back! Yours is beautiful!!

The Most Beautiful Tree In My Neighborhood
The tree itself is an oak, but it's covered in all sorts of flowering vines.
Both grow near me, the red one I don’t know the name of, but the white vine looks like jasmine.
The red one looks like what my granny used to call Japanese Hibiscus. She used to have one in her yard

One Good Spiky Boi From San Pedro
So beautiful! The colours are amazing - good job with your spiky boi! My dad used to collect cacti and succulents - and just about every other sort of plant. He had the proverbial green thumb. I've finally got to the point where I manage to grow more than I kill so at least I'm improving! No cacti though as it's a bit wet where I am.

I Stole A Piece Of This Huernia Zebrenia Succulent 5 Years Ago From A Public Greenhouse, Nurtured It Until It Finally Bloomed. It Smells Like Garbage Because Flies Are How It Gets Pollinated. Til The Blossom Closes Up At Night
I stole a piece (3cm) of the original plant (it's a succulent, so though I felt bad for pocketing it, I knew the original plant wouldn't suffer) because it was so odd and I had never seen it available in any garden center. It took a lot of trial and error on my part to get it to grow, and this year I was rewarded with 3 blossoms, all about the size of a halfdollar (2€). Sorry/not sorry I stole it.
