If You Haven’t Smiled Today, Read This Twitter Thread Of People Sharing What They Love In Others
With this much of negativity surrounding us every day, we sometimes seem to forget the small good things, that keep us going. This time the topic is our loved ones and their quirky character traits that we've fallen for in the first place.

Over 1,900 proofs and love stories, to be exact. That's how many Twitter users responded to her tweet, asking, "Tell me something random about a person you love that makes you smile every time you think of it."
From tough guys turning sweet when seeing a puppy, to true stories of dedicated love and just wholesome little snippets of happy thoughts; we've gathered the most wholesome, best tweets responding to Rachel's query. We need a trigger warning for tears when we are in a place where it's inappropriate to cry. Put a water drop emoji before you start typing this c**p!
Through my whole first pregnancy he just kept acting like no big deal, why are you rushing we’ve got time, etc. then she was born, the nurses cleaned her up, and handed her to daddy, and he said it was like in the movies and time slowed down, and suddenly he was the dad and this little thing in his arms was his child. He took care of her as much as possible in those first weeks. I didn’t change a diaper for the first 2 weeks!
I always tell my kids that according to their mother I'm their father so they have to listen to me.
A light that keeps a preemie (or other special need) babies warm when sleeping in their beds. Some babies have problems regulating their temperatures (especially preemies) and this keeps them warm and healthy.

8 years ago when my daughter was born i never picked her up Bcoz i thought it would hurt her and make her feel uncomfortable... i just sit and watch her and speak to her in the bed... This post reminds me of tht with tears in my eyes...
I do it too. I like everything chilly and my wife likes everything hot. So I also get her cold feet to warm. It is a win-win situation. She gets my heat and I get my wife close and cool my body
Same with my significant other and me. Though I am the woman :-). He doesn't mind my cold body, and I warm up to him. He does not understand how my body becomes so cold so fast if so am out of bed for a minute, lol. We always cuddle before sleep. Except for a few occasions when it was too hot last summer (last summer was unusually warm over here in the Netherlands). He does not warm my side though, since I am in bed most of the day due to chronic diseases.
Load More Replies...My hubby does that for me! He also lies under my blanket, until it's warm
Does his sing them songs from their favorite bands?? Like Barkstreet Boys? Or maybe the Fleatles?? Or even the Red Hot Chilli Puppers?
You have a good guy there never leave him you won't find any better for you.
He's the real Santa and has kept the news from his daughter all these years.

I stop it with 1 second left so i felt like i defused a bomb in the nick of time!
WOW .... I do the same ! .... also with the silly chime of our dryer !
My dad does this, but only because he hates the beeping and doesn't like when things end on odd numbers :)

My mom & dad's "song" was "Waltz Across Texas" and anytime, anywhere that song came on, he would take her in his arms and dance with her. It was pretty embarrassing as a teenager seeing my parents dance in places like the grocery store, but now I would give anything to see it again.
Um, hello?! You're gorgeous! Im just a random stranger, but I'm here to tell you - from one girl to another, that you have serious potential. I know for SURE that guys would kill to have a queen like you in their arms. <3
Load More Replies...No, no, no, no... You can't just say he made up a song and not tell us the lyrics!
Also no photo of the cat is posted. Violation of all internet laws! Not nice!

Each of my cats has her own song. They're all stupid and embarrassing and nobody else will ever hear them.
No, please tell me, what are all the things that Lenny can see? I must know!
I do this with my cat. He sits on my lap and as I wheel through the house in my wheelchair I sing made up songs about what he can see and what things looks like from my prospect. The other 4 won't sit on my lap as I move but Orson does and he sits like a boss as I'm doing it like he's saying to the others "look at me, I'm a King on parade- salute me!"
So cute, both of you. Is he named after Orson Welles?

I had a friend whose cat loved to play fetch. The cat itself may have been Satan, but watching it play fetch was adorable
My older tuxie loves fetch too! I'm hoping he can teach it to his little siblings before he passes away.
My cat Solo loves to play straw fetch and his eyes get sooooo big in anticipation.
My wife does this too. I remain befuddled. I'm going to look over one day and find her eyes welled up because a xenomorph queen lost a flying vagina egg to a flame thrower. "Poor mother just trying to feed her babies..." *sniffle* I just know it.
She is just one of the highly sensitive people. We perceive any kind of stimuli differently, deeper, and it's due to how our nervous system is wired. Also any kind of emotion is amplified for us, and often times tend to cry even in happy moments or for things others don't understand. We tend to see the "magic" in very little things and details. It's also a downside to being this sensitive, but the "ups" compensate for it. :)
you just described what I try to say to people whenever they think I'm weird for being emotional/sensitive perfectly
Load More Replies...I cried at that too, but for other reasons. Thinks of High school marksheet and cries louder, later moves into a corner and cries more!
This is me, which surprises many because I'm also on the spectrum. But being Aspie doesn't mean that one cannot also be sensitive or empathetic.
I am the same way. I just wish that my husband would appreciate it like you do, instead of considering it a weakness.
It's people like this man who keep the spirit of Christmas alive. Despite the commercialism men like this keep the hope, dreams and spirit alive. Thank you
I can tell what season it is by looking at the calendar, am I a keeper?
When I moved into my new house I realized I had an awesome view of the night sky and an excellent look right as Mars for most of the evening. So now when I go out for a smoke I have to look for Mars and when I see it I say "What's up Mars?" Kinda dumb, but that is how I roll.
Completely understand this one. I was working in Alaska during the summer. If you don't know, there is 3 months of light. 3 months of dark with about a week or so of in between and then it repeats. Well it was light when I got there and 3 months later it started to get dark. When I saw the moon I dropped to my knees just bawling my eyes out realizing I hadn't seen it.

OK, she'll make it through. Great sense of humor - she's got what it takes.!
I've always hated terms like "bestie" but this is the most adorable usage that I've ever seen.
this is something i do and my ex once confessed he found it extremely annoying.

that reminds me! one of my cats sometimes needs attention and cries out until someone will oblige. she used to meow out loud in the morning while my father was getting ready for work. she would shave with the cat meowing full volume, and ask her "what's wrong? what do you need?" then proceeded to follow her up until her food bowl, since she wanted him to look at her while eating. i could hear him go "awwww you're soooo good at munching... such a great chewer... go for it, you eat soooo well" haahhahahaha that cracked me up every time
The fact that you remember like yesterday adds to the joy she gets by giving and sharing, guaranteed
What a sweet doggo. ♡ My dog always went crazy seeing me. Even when when I only came back from the mailbox or the garbage can. I still miss him even after all these years.
That's my dog. I swear I'll be gone for 2 minutes and she acts like it's been 2 hours. She's the best
Load More Replies...I love when my dog does that! He's very independent, so it doesn't always happen. We used to hike in a park that allowed off leash, Beau used to do his exploring, randomly come back, check in by bopping my hand or leg with his nose and then he'd go exploring again. :)
I try and say "I love you" to those close to me after arguing with them. My Mom's last conversation with her dad was a yelling match. I never want that to happen with me.
Try to make it positive: the yelling match was worth it for them at the moment because they cared so much ro each other. If you do not love someone it is not worth it to yell and be personally attached to the opinions.
Load More Replies...My 24 year old son always thanks me for spending time with him when we meet for lunch!
My 9 year old son tells me multiple times a day that he loves me and when I say " I love you" back, he always says that " he loves me more then I love him and that it is a fact". Warms my heart so much ❤❤❤❤
It's important. I do it with all my friends and family, every interaction. I once told a friend that I was not that way with out of the blue, just felt the need to, he also unusual for him, accepted it...he was killed in a car crash a few hours later. Tell everyone, every chance you get.
I do that when using software like photoshop...liquify, liquifyyyyy meeeeee to mystify by INXS. I used to also sing Kumera Frittata to Hakuna Matata
singing is the best way to remember what you're doing, and not forget half way through.
Load More Replies...Reminds me of the scene from Easy A when Stanley Tucci sits down next to his own adopted son and says, "So, where are you from, originally?" like he's talking to the new guy at the office.
I love it when the kid says something about being adopted, and Stanley Tucci says "who told you?" BTW, the adopted child is black. The parents in that movie were so great!

Dude. When I was vegetarian my family was not pleased, but I didn't ask for ANY accommodations for Thanksgiving. I knew there were plenty of sides. Well it was the ONLY year she made sausage stuffing and halved the amount of sides. Just like in high school, I worked at a movie theatre. Holidays and dinner during college too. Every year of my life, we had Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner before 3pm. So I asked for the day shift off. Suddenly dinner was 5pm. Asked for night shift next time, she went back to 2pm even though I was off at 4pm. So passive aggressive.
Where do you live where there are just rabbits everywhere?? My parents live near a natural stream with lots of animals, but I seldom see rabbits out in the open. Think I've seen herons more often than rabbits. :/
same here! i almost never see rabbits, although I live in a place with lots of different wildlife.

that sounds like something from my worst nightmares "what is that on the wall" "oh dear god a hot apple spider"
imagine what that would look like tho... would it just be an apple with eight legs that's on fire or would it be like hot as in pretty? that's terrifying to think about actually now I see why one might have nightmares (bad explanation don't judge me)

My 86 year old father still talks to the squirrels and birds outside. He has peanuts he feeds the squirrels and they will come up to him and take the peanuts out of his hand. The birds and he cheep at each other as well. He just sits outside and waits for them, then he whistles and chirps.
When I first met my husband we went to play cards with his parents and I lost terribly. Scores were kept in a notebook going back many decades. Comments were made about my low score etc. I was embarrassed and felt disgraced. On our next date my now husband presented me with the score sheet which he had ripped out of the notebook (verboten!) He presented it to me and said he was ashamed that I had been treated like that and knew I had too much grace and class to say anything to them. We went back to visit them and his father suggested cards. My husband was panic stricken. This time I beat all of them. The look of pride on my husbands face is still clear 20 years later. Unbeknownst to him I had learned how to play. He to this day consistently supports and encourages me. And we still have the score sheet.
My favorite time of every day is when we are getting ready for bed. My boyfriend is a super good looking guy but he has terrible eyesight. He brushes his teeth and takes out his contacts and comes back to bed in some pretty thick glasses. I know he hates them, but I know I'm the only one who gets this version of him. The glasses are only for me and I live for it.

My dad is very intimidating looking. But we got a cute little cocker spaniel when I was 11, and I caught him sitting on the couch with her in his lap. He called her "Taffy Dolly Lovey Baby"! Smile every time I remember that!
My boyfriend will hide in different spots in our apartment each time I come home or leave a room. He usually always scares me haha then kisses me, hugs me then we both laugh for a solid 5 minutes ^.^ it never gets old <3
must be a new relationship :) That sounds exhausting
