Recently, novelist Rachel Griffin found proof that when people genuinely love one another, even the tiniest things they do can make them feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Over 1,900 proofs and love stories, to be exact. Real men act like this around dogs. I volunteer at a couple of local shelters and there was one dog in particular a couple of years ago, he had been through horrendous abuse at the hands of scumbag human beings and was just a shut down dog, he kept refusing to eat anything so every morning when i arrived i would take bowl of breakfast into his cage along with my bowl of cereal and i would just sit next to him, put his food down and then eat mine, no pressure on him i just sat next to him and ate, after a few weeks he started eating at the same time i did and eventually he was eating the whole bowl with me every morning, that was the start of him coming out of his shell and it was beautiful.

My wife does this too. I remain befuddled. I'm going to look over one day and find her eyes welled up because a xenomorph queen lost a flying vagina egg to a flame thrower. "Poor mother just trying to feed her babies..." *sniffle* I just know it.

that reminds me! one of my cats sometimes needs attention and cries out until someone will oblige. she used to meow out loud in the morning while my father was getting ready for work. she would shave with the cat meowing full volume, and ask her "what's wrong? what do you need?" then proceeded to follow her up until her food bowl, since she wanted him to look at her while eating. i could hear him go "awwww you're soooo good at munching... such a great chewer... go for it, you eat soooo well" haahhahahaha that cracked me up every time

My husband makes fun of me that I have to forward all the way to the end of a recorded show so I can say I finished it. It feels half finished if I delete when the show is over versus the end of the recording.

my bf and I do the same, but sometimes he gets grumpy for getting no kiss. I tell him I did kiss him, but he was asleep. If I try to wake him up for a kiss, he gets so grumpy, that I rather kiss him asleep :P

My 86 year old father still talks to the squirrels and birds outside. He has peanuts he feeds the squirrels and they will come up to him and take the peanuts out of his hand. The birds and he cheep at each other as well. He just sits outside and waits for them, then he whistles and chirps.

When I first met my husband we went to play cards with his parents and I lost terribly. Scores were kept in a notebook going back many decades. Comments were made about my low score etc. I was embarrassed and felt disgraced. On our next date my now husband presented me with the score sheet which he had ripped out of the notebook (verboten!) He presented it to me and said he was ashamed that I had been treated like that and knew I had too much grace and class to say anything to them. We went back to visit them and his father suggested cards. My husband was panic stricken. This time I beat all of them.The look of pride on my husbands face is still clear 20 years later. Unbeknownst to him I had learned how to play. He to this day consistently supports and encourages me. And we still have the score sheet.

My favorite time of every day is when we are getting ready for bed. My boyfriend is a super good looking guy but he has terrible eyesight. He brushes his teeth and takes out his contacts and comes back to bed in some pretty thick glasses. I know he hates them, but I know I'm the only one who gets this version of him. The glasses are only for me and I live for it.

My bf takes my towel and hair towel and puts them on the heater vent when I take a shower so I have a warm towel when I get out. If he forgets he feels sooo bad and apologizes profusely....it's adorable and I love those little things he does.

My dad is very intimidating looking. But we got a cute little cocker spaniel when I was 11, and I caught him sitting on the couch with her in his lap. He called her "Taffy Dolly Lovey Baby"! Smile every time I remember that!

My boyfriend will hide in different spots in our apartment each time I come home or leave a room. He usually always scares me haha then kisses me, hugs me then we both laugh for a solid 5 minutes ^.^ it never gets old <3

Back when we weren't living together, I spent the night ay my Darling's place, one of the first nights we ever had together, and he fell asleep before me. In his sleep, he reached out his hand towards me, and I put my hand in his. He half-awoke, looked at me like "Oh, you're here with me !", smiled the sweetest tender smile and went back to sleep. I'm not sure he even realized he had woke up, but I never forgot that look and that smile, both so full of love and amazement. Enough to last a lifetime.

my six year old brother put his cinnamon roll on a plate in the microwave to heat it up, watched it spin around until the timer went off, grabbed a second plate, and just held it in front of the open microwave whispering "come to me" under his breath. this continued for around five minutes XD

Years ago, I used to have a time when I had really bad dreams like1-2x a week... woke up crying. Now my hubby wakes up as soon as my breathing changes and wakes me up to comfort me! I love him for that :)

my boyfriend and I share the funny love language of sending each other clips of cats interacting and captioning it, "us". if there's 3 cats in the video, then it automatically becomes the 3 kittens we hope to adopt together someday. he's waiting to meet me so I can help him pet his first stray cats.
