To anyone wanting to recreate - I've seen this (or a similar) gown on a post that said it was airbrushed, not tie-dye. Whatever the technique, it's spectacular, and I love the colours.

Yeah, I actually did something similar to my first wedding dress, and we used spray cans of fabric paint meant for fabric flowers. It worked perfect and I had the peachy-orange skirt of my dreams!

This makes me think of the dress Katniss wore in I think the second hunger games book, the one that looked like flames that they artificially set on fire. I haven't read those books in a while, and I haven't seen the movies, but that was my immediate thought. The colors are absolutely stunning, like a Phoenix.

Bored Panda spoke with Laura Vanagaite, an international freelance graphic designer who specializes in branding and social media content creation, to find out what it takes to go from a great idea to its great execution, and why it’s not that simple.
Laura explained that bringing a design idea from vision to execution requires a combination of creativity, technical skills, and project management. “This includes defining the design brief and goals, researching and gathering information, prototyping, refining the design, and producing final assets,” she said.

Laura concluded that although it’s subjective, it’s still very important since “it helps establish credibility and communicate effectively, while still allowing room for innovation and risk-taking.”

Ok found the answer...."Sea glass" is physically and chemically weathered glass found on beaches along bodies of salt water. These weathering processes produce natural frosted glass.

Depends if you have a design you like, the money to have it done properly, a sufficiently talented tattooist in the area, and the ability to truly grasp that it's there forever. That last one sounds weird, but once it's on your skin and you realise you'll never see that part of you blank again, it's a bit existential.

In case you're wondering, yes, this replica of the Batmobile used in Tim Burton's 1989 version of "Batman" was made in Kyiv in 2019 by Ukrainian company "Nanoprotec" on the basis of a 1990 Chevrolet Caprice with a BMW V12 engine and commissioned by an oligarch by the name of Denys Oleksiyovych Devyatov who used to drive it up and down the streets of Monaco. Of course, that proves to be a problem as of late, because, the owner, the above mentioned oligarch is now under investigation by the SBU (Ukraine's version of the FBI) for having skipped the country at the start of the Russian invasion and alleged anti-Ukrainian activities... We'll have to wait and see what comes of this.

A guy comes to our car show driving one of these and dressed completely as batman. Not a cheap Halloween costume but a really intricate costume. The kids go nuts over it.

I'm bothered by the betta, tetra and goldfish all in the same tank. They have different water requirements, and while it occasionally works out, it is usually very stressful for bettas to be house with other territorial fish. Someone wanted a cool centerpiece and did no research.

This is just a rant but you could get old whiskey barrels for really cheap from the factories but now it's all commercial and a few people take all so the prices are ridiculous when it's being resold here.

For a space buff the funny thing is that the Space Shuttle actually did it's gravity turn with the orbiter at the bottom and the tank at the top, so this lamp should have had it inverted... This was done for reasons of center of mass and aerodynamic forces, for better communications with the ground (you want your antennas to be on the side with the ground) and for better visibility of the ground from the cockpit. Sadly, the unique configuration of the vehicle also meant that, no matter which way it was facing, during ascent the orbiter was in what was called a "black zone" which means an area of the flight profile from which crew escape in the case of an emergency is impossible, which was poignantly demonstrated by the Challenger disaster in 1986.

I'd be afraid I'd accidentally kick the glass. Even if the galss was hardy enough, I don't think the fish would appreciate that too much. It also looks a bit inconvenient to take care of.
